The whole Iran War situation could be a negotiated settlement or a hot kinetic war OR just very boring for President Trump. AND, that’s just today. Trump has been on every side of this issue in the past few hours. It’s making the Left crazy, but they really don’t negotiate anything, not even their dreams.
These negotiations have been going on for weeks and have been all over Hell and half of Georgia. We are close to a deal, we are far from a deal. Iran wants money, Iran isn’t getting shite. Dust or no dust. Iran, the Mullahs and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) LIE. Even when they swear they are not lying, they are lying.
We have been close to a negotiated settlement before. We were close to a negotiated settlement six weeks ago when our Deanna wrote “Trump Keeps Options Open While Moving Toward A Deal With Iran”. We have been so close so many times before. It was only that six weeks ago that Vice President J.D. Vance and the Iranians called off the talks. But, very boring…possibly.
According to ABC News earlier today:
Trump says he thinks deal with Iran could happen ‘over the next week’
President Donald Trump told ABC News he thinks he will have an agreement with Iran to extend the ceasefire and reopen the Strait of Hormuz “over the next week.”
“Looking good, looking good,” he told ABC News’ chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl in a telephone conversation on Monday.
“There was a little glitch today, but I turned that one around very quickly, as you probably noticed earlier,” Trump said.
The glitch, according to the president, was that the Iranians were upset about Israel’s attacks on Lebanon.
“So, I spoke with Hezbollah, and I said no shooting, and I talked to Bibi [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu], and said, no shooting, and they both stopped shooting each other,” Trump said.
The New York Post has a different spin on it:
Trump reportedly tears into Netanyahu over Hezbollah strikes: 'What the f-k are you doing?' https://t.co/1JECLjRjPU pic.twitter.com/ysswTWz5uW

President Trump reportedly tore into Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, demanding the leader resist strikes on Hezbollah in an expletive-laden phone call.
The tense call came after Iran threatened to withdraw from negotiations with the US after Israel ordered strikes on terrorists in southern Beirut — with Axios reporting the president at one point asking, “What the f–k are you doing?”
“You’re f–king crazy. You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me. I’m saving your ass. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this,” a US official told Axios, summarizing Trump’s comments.
It is AXIOS after all.
Where did the whole “very boring” line come from? The New York Times, naturally. They would know about boring:
But on Monday, after days of haggling with Iranian officials through intermediaries on a preliminary agreement, Mr. Trump declared it was starting “to get very boring.”
“I don’t care if they’re over, honestly,’’ he told Eamon Javers of CNBC when asked about reports that the Iranians, angry at continued Israeli strikes in Lebanon and low-level conflict with the United States in the Persian Gulf, were threatening to stop negotiating. “I really don’t care. I couldn’t care less. If they’re over, they’re over.”
There are reasons to doubt that Mr. Trump is truly so unconcerned: Gasoline prices have soared since the war began, with a senior Exxon-Mobil official predicting recently that prices could go far higher, and Republicans are taking note of how deeply unpopular the war with Iran is with their constituents. In recent weeks he has professed indifference about a range of issues that carry deep political consequences for him, including the midterm elections and the financial situation that Americans are facing.
A lot of this whale stuff is very boring. A lot of the issues that Trump has professed indifference about were issues exacerbated by the media. Just so you know, gas prices are still about $.50 off of their Biden highs.
I mean sure blame Trump but somehow with significantly worse conditions than Biden had Trump has managed to keep gas prices significantly lower
Trump has his faults but you’re not going to want to make Biden comparison on this issue because it paints Trump very well

Did Iran walk out?
Well, according to NPR:
Iran says it’s suspending talks with U.S. if Israel does not halt its expanding offensive in Lebanon
Iran on Monday announced it was halting all communications with the U-S unless Israel stops its expanding military offensive in southern Lebanon, the semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim said.
Referring to Israel, the news agency said that “given the continuation of the Zionist regime’s crimes in Lebanon and considering that Lebanon was one of the preconditions for the ceasefire and that this ceasefire has now been violated on all fronts, including Lebanon, the Iranian negotiating team is stopping ‘talks and exchange of texts through a mediator.'”
Just remember folks, the Iranian Regime lies. All the time.
