Jill Biden Has A Story To Tell And A Book To Sell

Now The Story Can Be Told™, and Jill Biden is ready to sell it to the public.

The former shadow president First Lady has a memoir coming out next week, titled “View From The East Wing,” and that means the promotional tour has begun.

So Jill Biden stopped by CBS News to give an interview promoting the book, which will air this coming Sunday. But to pump up the viewing numbers, CBS News released a teaser clip from the interview where Jill throws a proverbial grenade.

Jill Biden has claimed in a new interview that she thought her husband Joe was “having a stroke” during his infamous 2024 debate with Donald Trump, after she staunchly defended her husband from the immediate political fallout.

“I was frightened, because I had never, ever seen Joe like that before or since. Never,” she told CBS News in a sitdown set to air in full Sunday ahead of the June 2 release of her memoir, “View from the East Wing.”

“I don’t know what happened,” she added. “As I watched it, I thought, ‘Oh, my God, he’s having a stroke.’ And it scared me to death.”

Let’s leave aside Jill’s claim that she “had never seen Joe like that before or since” for now. Let’s first look at her real-time reaction to Joe after the debate. Does this look like a woman who was “frightened” that her husband was having a potentially debilitating medical emergency and was concerned about his health after the fact?

And they didn’t hit up a doctor after that little stunt, either.

Less than two hours after sparring with former President Donald Trump for 90 minutes during the first presidential debate of 2024, President Joe Biden made a brief stop at a popular 24/7 restaurant chain that is a staple in the South.

President Biden and first lady Jill Biden made a late-night stop at a Waffle House in Atlanta. As they picked up a to-go order, Biden shook hands with customers as he headed to the counter to pick up the order that was already bagged for the Bidens. It was unclear what the Bidens ordered.

President Biden was then asked about his debate performance.

“I think we did well,” he said, adding that he didn’t have any concerns about his debate performance. “It’s hard to debate a liar. The New York Times pointed out he lied 26 times. Big lies.”

It should be noted that the “he has a cold” seeds were already beginning to be planted that night after the debate. Any consideration that something neurological was at play was dismissed out of hand.

So, did frightened wife Jill Biden just… keep all her worries to herself, stuffed in and plugged with a cork, lest she lose her cushy seat at the head of the Politburo table? It was said time and again and time and again and time and again – Jill Biden, along with most everyone else in the administration, KNEW that something was wrong with Joe. Jill just liked the power and the privilege far too much to give it up, and this story that she’s selling now? It seems not even her former friends are buying it. Remember Alex Thompson, who co-wrote one of the first Now It Can Be Told™ books of the 2024 election with Jake Tapper? Turns out that Alex Thompson still is cultivating sources within the Democrats’ inner circles.

Other staffers are willing to go on the record, though.

Now, one former White House staffer told The Post, Jill’s purported candor is too little, too late.

“Unfortunately, when you wait this long to tell your own story in your own words, it’s extremely hard to put the toothpaste back in the tube. She owed it to herself to be candid and transparent in the moment or the days after,” said Michael LaRosa, who served as the then-first lady’s communications director during her first year in the East Wing.

“The cake is already baked when it comes to shaping public perception about that time and about her,” he added. “Penning books doesn’t cut it anymore.”

Other Democrats who worked with Joe Biden said they were hardly surprised that Jill Biden’s rosy public comments about her husband’s capabilities, both before and after the debate, were apparently untruthful — since they long suspected that she operated with outsized influence in the White House as the then-president’s faculties waned.

One ex-aide quipped that another, more accurate title for the memoir could be: “View From the East Wing, Blindfold On.”

“Find it in the fiction aisle of your local bookstore,” this person added.

At the time, the White House offered a plethora of excuses for Biden’s performance, initially blaming a cold before pivoting to jet lag from an overseas trip taken two weeks earlier, before finally claiming that he had prepped so hard for the debate that he got facts jumbled in his head.

“Why did we push out he had a cold,” asked one Biden administration alum Wednesday night, “if she thought he had a stroke?”

That would be because this is the story she has cooked up to sell this book. And we all knew that the Bidens need to sell some books.

The Bidens are believed to need the funds from her book as well as a memoir the former president is writing. The couple left the White House as one of the poorest in presidential history, with financial disclosures showing cash assets worth between $632,000 and $1.38 million.

Meanwhile, former first son Hunter Biden has racked up millions of dollars in legal fees as he fought federal gun and tax evasion charges in court — only to have his father pardon him in the final months of his presidency.

Not only has Hunter racked up legal fees, he’s in debt up to his eyeballs and has skipped out on payments. None of the rest of the Bidens are in a position to make any more money off “selling access to Joe,” and Biden, Inc. has essentially gone out of business. Jill’s book is just the first attempt to make some money, and this new claim of fright over a stroke is designed to draw eyeballs to the interview, and then to the book itself.

Which leads us to Jill’s other problem – the claim that she “never seen Joe like that before or since.” That’s funny, because the rest of us DID. The old man was slipping, and the American public could see it happening in real time. The debate was just the fig leaf being stripped away from the excuses the administration and the media were using. That’s the only reason why Joe had to drop out just over three weeks later. The jig was up. And is Jill at all “frightened” that Joe was diagnosed with prostate cancer only AFTER leaving the White House? Or is that not something that concerns her?

Call me cynical, but I’m waiting for the NEXT book that Jill Biden publishes, which will be after Joe passes, when she and Hunter begin fighting over the scraps of the Biden legacy and pointing fingers at each other.
