It certainly didn’t take long for the anti-Trumpers to clutch pearls over President Trump’s supposed audacity to launch strikes against Iran’s terrorist leadership.
As we know from Deanna’s post earlier this morning, the talks between Iran and the U.S. failed. Which led to President Trump launching drone and air strikes against Iran’s leadership.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s compound appeared to have been destroyed in Operation Epic Fury, with officials confirming the attack was targeting the regime boss.
Satellite images obtained by the New York Times showed multiple buildings at the fortified compound were leveled in the joint US-Israel attack, with black smoke billowing up from the rubble.
Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian were targeted in the attack, a senior Israeli official confirmed to Fox News.
One can only hope that Khamenei was in that compound when it was leveled. But it is more likely he is holed up in some other country friendly to Iran’s terror regime.
Iran and the U.S. have been in negotiations for months now. And it’s been clear that they’ve been playing games. This wasn’t an out-of-the-blue pre-emptive strike that all the usual ‘I’m against everything that Trump does’ suspects are now yammering about. Nope, he made it crystal clear several weeks ago that the agreement hinged upon SIX WORDS.
“We will never have a nuclear weapon.”
And for those who weren’t paying attention or refused to watch the State of the Union address, President Trump stated the exact same thing.
They’ve already developed missiles that can threaten Europe and our bases overseas, and they’re working to build missiles that will soon reach the United States of America. After Midnight Hammer, they were warned to make no future attempts to rebuild their weapons program, and in particular nuclear weapons, yet they continue. They’re starting it all over. We wiped it out and they want to start it all over again and are at this moment again pursuing their sinister ambitions. We are in negotiations with them. They want to make a deal, but we haven’t heard those secret words, “We will never have a nuclear weapon.” My preference, my preference is to solve this problem through diplomacy. But one thing is certain, I will never allow the world’s No. 1 sponsor of terror, which they are by far, to have a nuclear weapon. Can’t let that happen.
And, what did Iran do? Played more games during the negotiations. Which has led us to today.
Keep in mind, this regime is slaughtering their own people for daring to protest against terrorism. This regime has driven the country into the ditch economically and continues to play games with Russia and China. Tellingly, at the moment, both of those countries are standing down and not rushing to help their terrorist pal.
And now, all the usual suspects and a few others besides are clutching all the pearls they can find. How DARE HE ruin my Obama-era Iran Deal??!!
Ben, and I mean this in the most condescending way possible, the war has already been going. 30000 people were slaughtered by the Islamic “republic”. They readily admit to over 3000. The war started months ago.

The difference now is that the other side is armed.
What the hell did he think sending pallets of cash over to them was going to accomplish? Build more schools? Upgrade the electrical grid? Or wage more terror across the world and continue to build their nuclear program?
War Powers Act! Congress was supposed to be asked to approve this! All the Democrat Senators and Congressmen (with the exception of Senator Fetterman) are shrieking that President Trump should’ve asked permission. You didn’t see ANY of those same tantrums when Obama did the same multiple times throughout his eight years in office!
I challenge you to tell Iranians in your state that you think they should just live w the Islamic regime massacring them in the streets. Tell the women to just accept 2nd-class status & constant abuse. Go on. Tell them.

What Rand Paul doesn’t recall or hopes we don’t remember is that John Quincy Adams was fully aware that Islam had declared war on the colonies BEFORE the American Revolution and knew that Jefferson’s moves as President to go to battle to Americans from Tripoli was an absolute necessity. Islam has since then maintained war status against the U.S., which we’ve seen and felt with the numerous terrorist attacks over these 250 years. American soldiers have been blown up by IED’s built by Iran. Iranian women are being raped, tortured, and killed for speaking out …and Rand Paul sits there trying to tell us we should’ve kept fruitlessly negotiating??!!
Iran’s foreign minister is now claiming any regime change is “mission impossible.”
Considering he’s one of those who has been completely ok with slaughtering any Iranian who dares speak out against the regime, those are pretty bold words right after strikes that have taken out several top-ranked Iranian terrorist leaders.
.@TreyYingst reports: "Three sites where gatherings of Iranian terror regime officials were taking place were struck simultaneously. And several senior figures essential to the management of the campaign and the regime’s governance were eliminated." pic.twitter.com/aLdKtybghY

Yet Democrats are clamoring for Trump to stop in order to ensure our troops aren’t put into harms way.
One of the first Democrats to respond to the strikes, Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), condemned the attack on social media, writing that “we can support the democracy movement and the Iranian people without sending our troops to die.” Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) added Saturday that Trump’s overnight military strikes against “a broad set of targets, including senior Iranian leadership — marking a deeply consequential decision that risks pulling the United States into another broad conflict in the Middle East.”
That’s rich coming from a guy who wholeheartedly supported Obama’s Iran Deal and has been silent on the terrorist regime killing their own citizens.
As the day goes on and we have more information coming out from the strikes, it’s also important to note that Iran made a very bad move strategically by launching ballistic missiles against Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the UAE. That won’t end well…for Iran.
As I was finishing up this post, I saw this come across on X.
Israeli Channel 12 is reporting, citing unnamed intelligence sources, growing indications that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in this morning’s strikes.

Not injured. Not relocated. Killed.
The assessment is not based on satellite imagery. It is based on human… https://t.co/gHNR0Hve2u pic.twitter.com/T3RJng5zlT
IF it is verified that the Ayatollah was turned into dust, that will be HUGE for the Iranian people.
