Trans Instructor Who Failed Student’s Essay On Gender Is Fired

A trans instructor at Oklahoma University was fired after flunking a student’s essay on gender, according to this report.

A few weeks back, The New York Post reported that Samantha Fulnecky, 20, received a failing grade from psychology course’s instructor, graduate student Mel Curth, who uses “she/they” pronouns. In the essay, Curth — a transgender grad student who uses “she/they” pronouns — had asked students to pen a 650-word response to an academic article that weighed whether conformity with gender norms was associated with popularity or bullying among middle school students.

The assignment itself, which counted for 3% of the total grade in the class, was designed to be a “reflective essay”. Curth, gave Fulnecky a failing grade based on her “neglecting to address the prompt and relied more on “personal ideology” than “empirical evidence.” What did Fulnecky say that triggered this “award-winning” instructor?

Society pushing the lie that there are multiple genders and everyone should be whatever they want to be is demonic and severely harms American youth.

I live my life based on this truth and firmly believe that there would be less gender issues and insecurities in children if they were raised knowing that they do not belong to themselves, but they belong to the Lord.”-Samantha Fulnecky

Let’s define empirical, for but a moment:

Empirical: based on, concerned with, or verifiable by observation or experience rather than theory or pure logic:

How is “I live my life based on this truth” not verifiable by observation or experience? Fulnecky is providing her empirical evidence right there in that statement. And, who the hell is Mel Curth to judge this truth and Fulnecky’s reflective thoughts as a fail? “Mel” (who is actually William and looks to be a white male) Curth, gave Fulnecky a zero grade:

Please note that I am not deducting points because you have certain beliefs, but instead I am deducting point [sic] for you posting a reaction paper that does not answer the questions for this assignment, contradicts itself, heavily uses personal ideology over empirical evidence in a scientific class, and is at times offensive.

You may personally disagree with this, but that doesn’t change the fact that every major psychological, medical, pediatric, and psychiatric association in the United States acknowledges that, biologically and psychologically, sex and gender is neither binary nor fixed.

To call an entire group of people ‘demonic’ is highly offensive, especially a minoritized population.”-William (Mel) Curth

In a feat that defies LOGIC, Curth claimed not to be deducting points for Fulnecky’s beliefs while criticizing those very beliefs as the basis for the failing grade as, at times, offensive.

There are arguments circulating around the Interwebs about how Fulnecky did not provide evidence (besides the Bible) to support her idea. That, based on her writing, she should have received a failing grade. While her response may have lacked some academic reasoning, should a grad student grading papers give a complete “0” grade on an essay which, according to the rubric, was reflective? Fulnecky read the scholarly article and provided her reflection on the trans contagion. If Will can’t be unbiased enough to see this, then yes, HE should be fired.

As far as the Bible goes, yes. God knew us before we were fearfully and wonderfully made. He knows every hair on our head. He knows our true gender because HE designed us. If this is Samantha’s opinion and reflection, then, she should have been entitled to use it. If we want to go rounds with the science, since this is a “science” class, as the trans (now fired) professor put it, we can help.

Yes, “conformity with gender norms is associated with popularity or bullying among middle school students”. Post-COVID, it became popular for middle school students to come out as trans. It was the new equivalent of us having a shiny new pair of Reebok high-tops in the 80s. The trans kids were the “cool kids”. Our schools promoted this. Our lawmakers put tampons in boys’ bathrooms. Our medical community promoted genital mutilation and sterilization amongst young people. Our retail outlets promoted tucking swimsuits, chest-binding and, yes, demonic merch. Anyone who opposed this was bullied into submission or silence. “Mel” William Curth is one of these bullies, manifested into an adult. And, for this HE should be fired.

Next up? White-man-turned-trans-“woman”-OU-fired-professor paints himself as a MINORITY next to a person of color when applying for HIS next job. Stay tuned for another edition of FAFO.
