There has never been a candidate who has known how to embrace the moment and enjoy it to the fullest like Donald Trump.
And there has never been a campaign that knows how to “seize” and “pounce” like the Trump campaign. So, how did we get to the moment where Donald Trump was in the driver’s seat of a garbage truck in Wisconsin? Well, if you have been keeping up on the news – and reading this blog – you will remember that the most recent attempt to cast Trump as “Orange Hitler” and the rally at Madison Square Garden as some kind of Nazi redux all fell flat, so the media moved on by highlighting a joke made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe during his routine at the Madison Square Garden rally, which referred to Puerto Rico as “an island of floating garbage.” The media was really feeling the momentum on this one… until Joe Biden stepped in and killed the whole vibe by referring to Trump supporters as “garbage.”
This sent the media into overdrive – as well as the White House – to try and explain this away. There was a magical apostrophe that the White House inserted into the official transcript in order to try and claim that Biden was only referring to Hinchcliffe. Karine Jean-Pierre tried to spin it away, but no luck. Biden’s comments are on video, and everyone can hear it for themselves, and how it was general, not specific. And it is that generalization that could really be a problem for Kamala Harris.
JUST IN: Pollster Frank Luntz says President Biden may have lost Kamala Harris the election, says his "garbage" comment is "huge."

So the media kept going in a desperate attempt to downplay this very bad Biden boo-boo. It was his stutter! Biden isn’t even running for president, so why does this matter? Kamala Harris tried to dodge the question herself when asked by the press about it. But the reason that this comment resonates so strongly is because Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) have made it very clear what they think of Trump supporters. How is it a stretch to go from “Nazi” to “garbage”?
Enter the Trump campaign, and Donald Trump himself. First, Trump gave the solid answer to Biden’s comments in North Carolina.
“We know it’s what they believe, because look how they’ve treated you. They’ve treated you like garbage. Frankly, they’ve treated you like garbage. You know what the truth is? They treated our whole country like garbage,” Trump said at his rally in Rocky Mount, NC.
Trump, 78, lumped Vice President Kamala Harris in with Biden and argued that the commander in chief’s Tuesday night comment reflected her own views.
“My response to Joe and Kamala is very simple. You can’t lead America if you don’t love Americans,” he added, “and you can’t be president if you hate the American people, and there’s a lot of hatred. Kamala Harris is not fit to be president of the United States. She doesn’t have the intellect, the stamina, or that special quality that real leaders must have to lead.”
And then he did the most epic trolling of those comments possible. This even topped the McDonald’s moment just because it was so freaking hilarious. When Trump landed in Wisconsin for his rally on Wednesday evening in Green Bay, a garbage truck was waiting for him. And while wearing a reflective vest, Donald Trump climbed in the driver’s seat.

Trump then got in the truck and spoke to the media for several minutes, saying that Biden should be ashamed of himself for what he said.
“How do you like my garbage truck?” Trump asked reporters. “This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.”
He said that Vice President Kamala Harris should also be ashamed of herself “because she shouldn’t let him do it.”
“She’s the vice president, but I assume acting as the president,” Trump said. “She should never have let that happen.”
Trump then went to the rally, where he was still wearing the reflective vest – and told the crowd the hilarious reason why.
LMAO: Trump hilariously tells the story of how he decided to wear his garbage uniform for the rally.
"I said 'NO WAY!' But they said, 'If you did, it actually makes you look thinner.' I said, 'Oh…' and they got me, when they said I look thinner."

Harris campaign spokesman Ian Sams tried to spin this trolling away as a “second Dukakis moment,” after counting the McDonald’s event as the first one. Except everyone knows that Trump is enjoying himself and needling both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and is not taking the moment seriously – so that spin won’t stick. And neither will the sheer hysteria from the media. The prime example of someone who lost their marbles on air is CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell, who continued her hot streak (after “moderating” the vice presidential debate) as a partisan hack.
CBS's Norah O'Donnell opens the 'CBS Evening News' mad about Trump's garbage truck "stunt" and that people are "giving" Biden any "no grace" for calling Trump supporters "garbage" last night:

The full post reads:
CBS’s Norah O’Donnell opens the ‘CBS Evening News’ mad about Trump’s garbage truck “stunt” and that people are “giving” Biden any “no grace” for calling Trump supporters “garbage” last night:
“Both campaigns are locking their focus on the battleground states. Vice President Kamala Harris rallied in North Carolina and Pennsylvania today and is in Wisconsin tonight. Former President Donald Trump was in North Carolina earlier, and tonight, he is also in Wisconsin. He landed in Green Bay just a short time ago and then pulled this campaign stunt, speaking to reporters from a garbage truck, proof that he and his supporters are giving no grace to a gaffe by President Biden where he, in his explanation, inadvertently called Trump supporters garbage. This, of course, was in response to that racist joke about floating garbage told at a Trump rally just last weekend. Vice President Harris is distancing herself from the negativity and trying to drive home her unifying message that if elected, she will represent all Americans.”
I’m sorry, is Norah O’Donnell getting paid by the Kamala Harris campaign? That was editorializing and some grade-A gaslighting to boot. Exactly how much “grace” should Joe Biden be getting after he called Trump supporters “garbage” and then can’t be bothered to apologize on camera, instead putting out a statement on X that we all know he didn’t write? She demands “grace” for an old man who has constantly demeaned those who don’t fall in line as a “threat to democracy“? What a colossal joke O’Donnell is. But she wasn’t the only one.

The media are big mad because they really thought they were going to get their “racist” charge to stick this time to Donald Trump, and then Joe Biden derailed their fun. Now, the pendulum has swung back, clocked the media in the teeth, and Donald Trump just merrily drove a garbage truck through the gap. And if Joe Biden’s big angry bitter mouth ends up costing Kamala Harris votes? That’s just the cherry on top.

Once again, Sleepy Joe reveals the GREAT DIVIDER he is !!
I saw the speech, and I was really hoping that he would distance his campaign from the Vice President’s effort by complimenting those who are voting for her. They’re participating in Democracy, that’s a good thing, or something like that.
Maybe a quick admission that there are good people on both sides. Yeah… it has a ring to it.
You know, it’s not a good look to drive a garbage truck after you’ve literally been on tape calling the US the “garbage can of the world.” Does that include this author’s non-white relatives? Because when he says it, he’s not referring to Europeans!
And that’s not even mentioning the comedian who the Trump team vetted and who called Puerto Rico an “island of garbage.” Or when Trump called the people around Kamala “scum” and “garbage.” I mean, connecting your campaign and candidate with garbage isn’t exactly the brilliant flex and trolling that you think it is…
Also, I notice that you don’t talk about the video of him trying to get in to the truck. He was showing obvious signs of something wrong physically, or neurologically since his leg went sideways at an odd angle and it took him three tries to grasp the door handle. But do go on with how fit and brilliant he is!
It’s super rich to even be talking about any garbage comments from Biden considering that commenters on this blog have called Democrats “demonrats” or other nasty names and that a speaker at the “love fest” rally at Madison Square Gardens called Kamala the Antichrist. But do go on with your proverbial pearl clutching and praising the sad trolling attempts.
