Oprah and a slew of celebrities appearing via ZOOM tried to help Kamala get a boost last night. It…did not go well.

Keep in mind, Kamala has only given two scripted interviews since being coronated as the Presidential candidate, and at my count has debuted at least four different accents during campaign speeches. She’s also appeared at a couple of round-table discussions; most recently in front of the National Association of Black Journalists.

The look on their faces at the end, says it all.

No wonder it is a full-court press as it were to keep Kamala and subsequently Tim Walz from doing interviews. 

Vice President Harris’ team is betting she and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, can avoid many tough interviews and still win as they run down the clock to Election Day.

That strategy comes even as many voters say they want to learn more about Harris — and as her campaign has said she’s changed many of her past liberal positions to more centrist policies.

The previously press-friendly Walz has joined Harris in largely dodging the media while campaigning before friendly, enthusiastic crowds.

There are three reasons why both don’t want to sit down and face those tough questions. 

A. Kamala, as you’ll see again below, has no idea what she’s talking about and is completely incapable of giving a concise pithy answer to any question. 

B. Her progressive socialist policies haven’t changed, but she doesn’t want the American public to realize that. 

C. Tim Walz has a Blue Falcon, Covid, riots, and a China problem. That said, he’s a better speaker than Kamala is, and that’s saying something. 

That’s a very sharp point.

It is an effort to control overall messaging and avoid distractions.

They don’t want interviews that could lead down a rabbit hole they spend weeks dealing with!

They ain’t got time for that!

There are and should be many more questions right now. Questions about domestic and foreign policy,  the border, questions about her role as Vice President, which if you watch closely, she hardly ever discusses, her actual track record in the Senate and as Attorney General. But not enough people are asking those questions. Or get a chance to ask because interviews are not allowed.

So here comes Oprah and lots of celebrities to the rescue last night! 

Celebrities including Bryan Cranston, Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, Tracee Ellis Ross, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lopez and Julia Roberts appeared onscreen, with approximately 300,000 viewers watching on YouTube.

The event, dubbed “Unite for America,” was billed as a gathering of groups that formed on Zoom and other platforms in the days after Harris entered the race in July. Win With Black Women kicked off the trend, followed by groups like Comics for Kamala, Cat Ladies for Kamala, Win With Black Men, and White Dudes for Harris.

I’m sure the JOY was just palpable! And I’m truly not sure I’d want to know who the Cat Ladies are…

This was a campaign event. Period. Full stop. This wasn’t a true interview, even if a lucky few had a chance to ask a question of this presumptive Presidential candidate. 

I REALLY felt sorry for this guy. Especially given that Oprah, at the end, had to bat clean up for Kamala.

It was painful, but I watched it through twice. And still don’t know what the hell she was talking about in terms of policy. 

On another note, an old video surfaced of Kamala as Attorney General. In that video she’s on record advocating for government intrusion into our homes to search for guns. 

A resurfaced video from 2007 showing Kamala Harris, then San Francisco District Attorney, discussing the possibility of authorities entering private homes to check on gun storage safety has ignited backlash from gun rights advocates.

In the 15-second video, Harris, speaking at a press conference about a gun control ordinance, stated, “Just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn’t mean that we’re not going to walk into that home and check to see if you’re being responsible and safe in the way you conduct your affairs.”

That statement right there is EXACTLY why A. we have the history of the Boston Tea Party and the Battle of Lexington. B. Our BILL OF RIGHTS. 

Yet, isn’t it so very interesting that, at the debate we suddenly find out Kamala is a gun owner??!! And Oprah brought it up last night.

Talk about phony baloney! She’s extreme and definitely wants all the gun control legislation passed that she can. This gun owner schtick is just total pandering. 

Yet, Kamala is here to tell Oprah and the rest of us what the America Dream really is.

Well, it’s certainly elusive due to the fact that Kamala and Joe brought us inflation, a federal government spending money we don’t have, using our tax dollars to pay for student loan debt, shutting down oil and gas in favor of subsidies for wind and solar…. I could go on.

Oprah and her fellow celebrities tried to bail out Kamala last night. Instead, we were treated to yet another word salad train wreck. 

Pay Attention folks and VOTE accordingly.
