Biden Phones It In, And Tells Dems By Letter To Shut Up

As Joe Biden said, only the Lord Almighty is going to take him out of this presidential race. And the old man Jill and Hunter and the campaign staff are not going anywhere.

Today, Congress is back on Capitol Hill and the calls from elected Democrats for Biden to step aside haven’t exactly reached a fever pitch, but they aren’t going away. Senator Mark Warner was apparently trying to convene a meeting on the issue, but got enough pushback that the meeting is now off. There are still a handful of House Democrats who are publicly saying that Biden can’t win or should drop out.

Well, Team Biden is apparently fed up that the Stephanopoulos interview didn’t solve all their image problems, and that people like Maureen Dowd at the New York Times are refusing to drink the campaign Kool-Aid and fix reporting after the Biden campaign asked ABC News to alter the transcript so that Biden didn’t say “goodest job.”

So what does the campaign do? Hand Grandpa Joe a script to read from and call into his loyal fan club at MSNBC, “Morning Joe,” where Joe Scarbourough and Mika Brzezinski were sure to give him some tender loving care and gently handle the nursing home patient’s fragile ego. Let’s just say that even over the phone, Joe Biden has problems.

There are several problems with this interview. First, you can clearly hear Biden flipping through papers at one point – and he even says that he has a “list of lies” that he’s reading. But then he puts out a pretty big lie of his own.

The story is now evolving for Joe Biden, but he sort of stops himself in the middle of saying that he heard Trump say it. Does the old man know when he is lying?

Second, Biden then snaps about the Democrats who are pressuring him to step aside. Right off the bat in the interview, Biden tells Mika Brzezinski – who called him the “presumptive nominee” – that he is “more than presumptive, I am gonna be the Democratic nominee.” But he absolutely loses it later.

BIDEN: The American public is not going to move away from me, as the average voter. And again, I’m here for two reasons, pal! One, to rebuild the economy for hard-working middle-class people, give everyone a shot, just a straight shot, everybody gets a fair chance! Number one. Number two, remember all this talk about how I don’t have the black support? Come on, give me a break. Come with me, watch! Watch!

I’m getting so frustrated by the elite (or leak?). No, I’m not talking about you guys, but the elites in the party, who, they know so much more. But if any of these guys don’t think I should run, run against me. Go ah…announce for president. Challenge me at the convention.

Are we really supposed to believe that Joe Biden – who was first elected to the United States Senate in 1972 – is NOT one of the “elites” in the Democrat party? What a joke. Also, let’s remember that the DNC literally cooked the primary in order to ensure that Joe Biden would NOT have a serious challenger. Remember, no primary debates? Remember, Representative Dean Phillips made himself persona non grata in the Democrat party for daring to speak the truth out loud and running against Biden in the primary? Remember that RFK Jr. was thwarted by the DNC to the point that he decided to run as an independent? And now Joe Biden is daring anyone who thinks he isn’t up to the job to “challenge me at the convention”??? Honest people should realize that there WERE people who tried – and the “elites” at the DNC made SURE that Biden was the nominee.

To that end, Biden (well, his campaign staff) has released a letter to Democrats. To put it bluntly, old Joe (and Jill and Hunter) are refusing to leave, so Democrats need get in line behind the lost old man who needs stage directions and big pictures to get in and out of events. In short, you can’t stop me now, suckers.

We had a Democratic nomination process and the voters have spoken clearly and decisively. I received over 14 million votes, 87% of the votes cast across the entire nominating process. I have nearly 3,900 delegates, making me the presumptive nominee of our party by a wide margin.

This was a process open to anyone who wanted to run. Only three people chose to challenge me. One fared so badly that he left the primaries to run as an independent. Another attacked me for being too old and was soundly defeated. The voters of the Democratic Party have voted. They have chosen me to be the nominee of the party.

Do we now just say that this process didn’t matter? That the voters don’t have a say?

The question of how to move forward has been well-aired for over a week now. And it’s time for it to end. We have one job. And that is to beat Donald Trump. We have 42 days to the Democratic Convention and 119 days to the general election. Any weakening of resolve or lack of clarity about the task ahead only helps Trump and hurts us. It is time to come together, move forward as a unified party, and defeat Donald Trump.

Unless the discontented Democrats can amass the numbers, have a plan for who would be the nominee, and be able to mount a challenge at the convention itself, then Joe Biden is the nominee. The DNC bought the tickets, and now the entire party will take that ride. Unless, of course, the Lord Almighty intervenes. This might be the moment when Democrats decide that they do believe in God after all, because only He can save them from the train wreck that is the Joe Biden campaign.

Or it could be Kamala Harris, with a high heel, on a staircase.
