It is ABOUT DARNED TIME!! EchoHealth Alliance (EHA) headed by snake-oil salesman Peter Daszak, has had its federal funding stopped cold over the issues regarding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan labs.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued this action memo today:
On behalf of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), I hereby suspend and propose the debarment of EcoHealth Alliance, Inc. (EHA) from participating
in United States Federal Government procurement and nonprocurement programs. This action is initiated pursuant to 2 C.F.R. Part 180. HHS adopted and gave regulatory effect to 2 C.F.R. Part 180 at 2 C.F.R. Subpart 376.10.~Snip
The information summarized below indicates that EHA lacks the present responsibility to
participate in United States Federal Government procurement and nonprocurement programs.
The information from this record provides cause for the suspension under 2 C.F.R. § 180.700(b) and (c) for the debarment cause provided in 2 C.F.R. § 180.800(d) –“Any other cause of so serious or compelling a nature that it affects your present responsibility.” HHS believes there is adequate evidence in the record for this debarment cause and that immediate action is necessary to protect the public interest.
HHS, by this action is finally admitting what we’ve all known from literally the beginning of this Covid mess. The Wuhan labs were the problem. NOT the markets. And Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance was right in the thick of it.
Just two weeks ago, Daszak testified in front of Congress. And by golly, he executed quite a tap dance the entire time.
This as the New York Times had a snit fit over the temerity of Congress, especially Republicans, to question the work that EcoHealth does.
House Republicans demanded on Wednesday that the president of a virus-hunting nonprofit group be criminally investigated and barred from federal research funds, a sharp escalation in their campaign against scientists in the United States who Republicans have suggested either had links to the origin of the Covid-19 pandemic or obscured its true beginnings.
During a heated three-hour hearing of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, Republican lawmakers at times raised their voices at the nonprofit’s leader, Peter Daszak, and said that they believed that he would fare poorly as a defendant in criminal court.
What’s amusing about the lecture from the NY Slimes is that just days later, the paper reluctantly admitted that there are problems with the Covid vaccines. Yet they buried THIS new information within their Health section instead of putting it on the front page. The narrative must be upheld at all costs!
This is huge on multiple levels. First, it’s an outright acknowledgement that EcoHealth Alliance has been engaged in dangerous practices, including gain-of-function, that led to a major virus being unleashed around the world. Secondly, accountability is starting to happen. Third, a major funding mechanism for Peter Daszak’s heinous experimentation has now been halted cold for at least three years or longer.
This is a big victory & we have to celebrate wins like this. Part of our job outside gov’t is to make heroes of ppl inside gov’t who do the right thing. EcoHealth has been an untouchable Fauci juggernaut for 2 decades now. It has now, finally, been punched in the pocketbook. https://t.co/V91bPgrrsD

Keep in mind, during the Covid years, the U.S. was still funding Daszak’s company. To the tune of $60 million dollars.
A WCW investigation has uncovered that USAID shipped $4.1 million to the disgraced EcoHealth Alliance just days before its president is hauled in front of Congress this week
Our updated analysis shows that Wuhan lab funder EHA has raked in nearly $60 million in new taxpayer funding since the pandemic—that it probably started—began for virus-hunting and animal tests around the world
WCW was the first group to expose how EHA shipped taxpayer dollars from USAID and the NIH to the Wuhan animal lab for gain-of-function experiments that likely infected Patient Zero and caused COVID.
Can we get our money back? Some of this funding came through the NIH, Anthony Fauci’s old stomping grounds. Antony Fauci and Peter Daszak have been friends for eons. With EHA’s funding yanked, wouldn’t it be great if Fauci is next to be FINALLY held accountable??
Finally, the Biden Admin. agrees to ban Peter Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance, who financed the gain-of-function research in Wuhan, from getting any more taxpayer $. https://t.co/ed5kgIWfOJ

This isn’t the end of it. Peter Daszak is still going to be held accountable and has more questions to answer.
“The Select Subcommittee’s investigation into EcoHealth and the origins of COVID-19 is far from over. Dr. Daszak and his team are still required to produce all outstanding documents and answer the Select Subcommittee’s questions, specifically related to Dr. Daszak’s potential dishonesty under oath. We will hold EcoHealth accountable for any waste, fraud, and abuse and are committed to uncovering any illegal activity, including lying to Congress, NIH, or the Inspector General,” said Chairman Wenstrup.
This is one example of the questions he needs to answer.
On April 20, 2024, EcoHealth Alliance president Peter Daszak emailed anti-science, anti-public-interest activists Gerald Keusch and Peter Hotez to discuss a "strategy" to obstruct Congressional investigation of malfeasance by NIH officials David Morens and Anthony Fauci. https://t.co/qSHvB4kXyK pic.twitter.com/vYLXDdqgMg

Which also puts that little troll Fauci on the hot seat as well. Even the Democrats on the committee are pleased with this move by HHS!
Statement from @COVIDSelectDems welcoming defunding Ecohealth Alliance. It's pretty clear that Daszak has officially been thrown under the bus.https://t.co/bzOWAhNX6d

Meanwhile EcoHealth is very sad.
“EcoHealth Alliance is disappointed by HHS’ decision today and we will be contesting the proposed debarment,” an EcoHealth Alliance spokesperson told The Daily Wire in an email. “We disagree strongly with the decision and will present evidence to refute each of these allegations and to show that NIH’s continued support of EcoHealth Alliance is in the public interest.”
What is in the public interest is for EHA to never receive taxpayer funding ever again. Because you know their “evidence” will be chock full of lies.

When Fauci looses his pension and gets perp walked to a nice cold cell, then I’ll be happy. Until then, it’s half measures at best..
