Dirty Tricks By Hunter’s Legal Team On Eve Of Sweetheart Plea Deal

In not so shocking news, Hunter Biden’s legal team has evidently engaged in in some dirty tricks.

Hunter Biden‘s lawyers have responded to allegations that they conspired to lie to a court clerk in the First Son’s criminal case in Delaware by saying the incident was simply an ‘unfortunate misunderstanding.’

Delaware Judge Maryellen Noreika had ordered the First Son’s attorneys to explain themselves by 9pm Tuesday or be sanctioned.

Just before the deadline, Hunter’s Latham & Watkins lawyer Matthew Salerno filed a response claiming the incident was down to ‘an unfortunate and unintentional miscommunication.’

Well now, let’s take a look at what this unfortunate little blip actually was. OH! You don’t say! Someone misrepresented themself to the court and got the case removed and sealed??

Earlier today, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith filed a brief to Judge Noreika, suggesting that she toss Hunter’s ‘sweetheart’ plea deal with Delaware prosecutors due to claims they gave the President’s son preferential treatment.

It is claimed that someone from Hunter’s attorney Chris Clark’s former law firm later called the Delaware clerk – pretending to be from the office of Smith’s attorney, Theodore Kittila – asking them to remove the original filing and, with it, 448 pages of Congressional testimony from the two IRS investigators who worked on the case.

The documents were then taken down and sealed.

As you can read at the Daily Mail link, the correspondence between Kittila and Hunter’s attorney Chris Clark is rather blunt and to the point. Clark then claims this was just an unfortunate mishap and phone number confusion that led to this issue. This, after the judge ordered them to account for themselves by 9pm last night.

Which essentially gave Hunter’s lawyers less than six hours to respond. And they did, barely. Again, this was all just a misunderstanding. Hunter’s attorneys are doing the best they can you see, and their law clerks were being overly helpful and the court clerks were just very glad to help out!

“Hi Ted, Following up on our recent telephone conversation, the woman who called was a Jessica Bengels,” confirmed court official Samantha Grimes. “… She said she worked with Theodore Kittila and it was important the document was removed immediately or they could file a motion to seal. I do deeply apologize for all the confusion on our part.”

Bengels is the director of litigation services at the New York-based law firm of Latham & Watkins, where Hunter Biden attorney Chris Clark was formerly a partner.

So, NOT a law clerk and NOT even a member of Hunter’s legal team! This after, one reads that they wanted all the IRS whistleblower testimony and other information taken down because of personal information listed that’s been in public view for several months.

Why now? Well, Hunter has to appear in court concerning his very lenient plea deal concerning his tax shenanigans.

Hunter Biden is expected to plead guilty to a pair of misdemeanor tax charges in a Delaware federal court on Wednesday in a deal with Justice Department prosecutors that will allow the president’s son to avoid prosecution on a gun charge.

The deal follows a yearslong investigation by the federal prosecutor in Delaware, David C. Weiss, a Trump appointee who was kept on by the Biden Justice Department. If the judge approves the deal, Hunter Biden would not serve time in prison.

No jail time and a slap on the wrist for charges that would land any normal American in prison for years? I tell you what, the Biden family has got it going on!

Yet, the legal dirty tricks that were exposed yesterday kind of point to a bit of desperation on the part of Hunter and his legal team.

The IRS whistleblower testimony was devastating, illuminating, and damaging. David Weiss and Merrick Garland are probably trying to figure out how to spin this as no big deal, even as we find out more details of how deeply involved Hunter and Joe were in the Burisma/Ukraine scandal.

Keep in mind, this latest desperate dirty trick involved a supposed clerk who really is an attorney with a completely different law firm. And, as Judge Noreika helpfully reminded both parties, Hunter’s legal team had never filed a formal request to seal any information prior to yesterday’s events.

Again, all of this happened just before Hunter appears in court this morning to find out if his plea deal/slap on the wrist for major tax evasion (which the media is calling minor even though it involves well over $200K in tax evasion) is accepted or not. If it’s accepted, then he skates on the gun charges.

The timing is just a wee bit suspect to consider this anything other than a dirty trick. I don’t buy the ‘it was just miscommunication and an honest mistake’ do you?

Now it’s all up to the judge to decide the merits of this sweetheart plea deal.

the incident was down to ‘an unfortunate and unintentional miscommunication.’
Oh, it was unfortunate, alright, but it was NOT unintentional. “Oh dear, I forgot who I was and who I worked for when I drove in this morning. Sorry about that.” “Bailiff, take this man out behind the courthouse and kick him in the head a few times, please. Then we’ll consider ‘time served.'”

explain why they should not be SANCTIONED
Santioned, hell! They should be thrown into prison for a few days, at least. Not jail, but prison.

If the judge approves the deal
It looks like that may not happen. Heh. Just maybe enough sunlight from alternative news sources and an outcry from a lot of people will make this one different.
    Maybe.

And… it looks like the plea deal is back on.

It’s not so much that Justice is not blind, but more that Biden’s lawyers (on both sides) have her bent over the judge’s desk, dress up over her head, and she’s making “I like it!” noises.

BTW, if I were a (righteous) prosecutor, I would not charge Hunter with everything. Because you know Daddy is just going to pardon him right before his term ends if “the smartest man he knows” faces any real hardship. Then charge him with the held back crime as soon as Daddy pardons him.
