Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn is trending again. Why? It seems he did roll over and sing like a constipated canary to the Mueller team. According to Flynn, someone somewhere in Congress or the Trump Administration put the screws on Flynn in effort to interfere with the Mueller Russia Trump BAD! probe.
“As part of his guilty plea, President Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn assisted special counsel Robert Mueller in his investigations into the Trump campaign’s discussions of WikiLeaks, as well as “potential efforts to interfere or otherwise obstruct” the special counsel, according to a new court filing.”
Can I just say… Well DUH!? Of COURSE, Flynn was going to cooperate! He was going to save what’s left of his hide anyway he could.
First of all, the leaks involving his case were problematic on multiple levels.
Secondly, his sentencing was a debacle and circus.
Now… SUDDENLY!! Michael Flynn is THE conspiracy dude!
“Former national security adviser Michael Flynn told investigators that people linked to the Trump administration and Congress reached out to him in an effort to interfere in the Russia probe, according to newly-unredacted court papers filed Thursday.
The communications could have “affected both his willingness to cooperate and the completeness of that cooperation,” special counsel Robert Mueller wrote in the court filings.”
There’s a voicemail, guys! PROOF! Of stuff and things!
“”[I]t wouldn’t surprise me if you’ve gone on to make a deal with … the government,” the attorney said in the voicemail message, according to Mueller.
[I]f… there’s information that implicates the President, then we’ve got a national security issue, . . . so, you know, . . . we need some kind of heads up. Um, just for the sake of protecting all our interests if we can …. [R]emember what we’ve always said about the President and his feelings toward Flynn and, that still remains.””
Russia! Smoking Gun! OBSTRUCTION!!
Except that that whole voicemail thing doesn’t look like obstruction or Russia collusion to me.
Think about it. Read the above again. Please tell me WHERE in that dialogue does it call for or imply that Michael Flynn should throw obstruction spikes into the mix? Nope. Not at all.
Mueller told the Court that "persons connected to the Administration or Congress" communicated with Michael Flynn in order to affect "his willingness to cooperate" or the "completeness" of his cooperation. Flynn made Mueller's team aware of those attempts to obstruct. https://t.co/NV0XlcaFC2

Yet, this proves there was some kind of obstruction of justice … somehow!
Good ole Wolf Blitzer, he asked the relevant question. “Do you want to investigate this as another POSSIBLE obstruction of justice?” [Emphasis Added]
In other words, Michael Flynn gamed the system and Trump pulled the strings. But did he really?
Look at the above client/attorney commentary. Do you see anything in that that shows the attorney or Flynn himself hatched a plan to game the legal system for his own ends? At the moment, after multiple searches, I got nothing.
This newly released Flynn info. shows that “people connected to the administration or Congress” should be tossing and turning tonight, given that it appears they may have obstructed justice by attempting to tamper with Flynn both before AND after be was a cooperating witness. pic.twitter.com/jwETw5z7qM

A lot of tossing and turning should be happening. Just look at what is going on with one of the other key players in the Steele Dossier and Russia probe. Nellie Ohr has some serious explaining to do!
But hey!! That’s not a problem. The Mueller Report is! Therefore, the Democrats have taken it upon themselves to ignore the business of caring for their constituents. Instead, let’s take turns (‘do we have to raise our hands?’) and figure out who’s on first and when did someone land on third??!!’
Here’s the thing. Instead of the House Democrats virtue signaling by wasting taxpayer time by reading the Mueller Report into the record.
Incredible that with all the issues Congress needs to tackle, your House Democrat majority instead chooses to spend its time doing a marathon reading of the Mueller report—which, by the way, is already available ONLINE for any American to read.
Calling this a stunt is kind. https://t.co/WKFOGnzkPX

Volunteering for food banks and homeless shelters would’ve made better press…just saying.
Here’s the deal. The story? That the media is running with? How good is it? So good that they are publishing stuff two weeks in advance even though they have little to no idea as to what the information is.
The media is POUNCING all over a story that has little to no information that we can verify. Plus, we will have to wait until 31 May to find out the rest of the story.
Am I a fan of Michael Flynn? NO. Do I think he overstepped? Yes. Do his actions rise to the level of Trump! Russia! Collusion!? No. Yet the media must pounce.

So….the fact that a lawyer for Trump called him up and said “hey dude, if YOU have any incriminating evidence, we’d kind of like to know about it, because we haven’t heard of anything over here”, and this is being skewed into “obstruction”? Typical. If Trump’s lawyers knew he was guilty, they’d know what Flynn knew, and they wouldn’t bother calling him. This sounds like a call from a lawyer with a client who insists he is innocent of the charges, only the lawyer is skeptical. He is worried that Trump is lying and there was something secret going on…or even that Flynn knew something that Trump DIDN’T know…and they wanted to know, so they could be prepared to meet any surprises. There is no way this actually counts as “obstruction”, and I doubt that the Feds would ever try to press charges based on it. That won’t stop the media and Leftists from marketing it to the people as “obstruction”, because, you know, the Feds COULD THEORETICALLY file charges based on this, if they spun it just the right way.
