The Democrat party has been anti-Israel. However, for many years they did a good job of keeping that information stuffed under the rug. But with the trifecta of Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Ilhan Omar; their anti-Israel and anti-semitism stance has become glaringly apparent. The same day Trump announces US support for the Golan Heights, Democrats running for President diss AIPAC.
“Multiple Democratic presidential candidates said Thursday that they won’t attend the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s annual conference in Washington next week.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, former U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas, Sen. Kamala Harris of California and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, are among the 2020 contenders who have decided not to attend. Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, who is considering an independent bid for president, will also avoid the AIPAC conference.”
To be blunt, one of the key demographics of the Democrat party just got dumped to the curb BIGLY because Trump. Not only that, their timing given Trump’s announcement is suspect.
After 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!

Other Democrats who had planned to attend are quoted as saying that they’ll do so next year. Oh? What do they expect to change in a year? Furthermore, no matter what Ms Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has said, AIPAC and key people who are or were tied to that organization have not been gunning for her.
““It’s official — AIPAC is coming after Alexandria, Ilhan, and Rashida,” the email said. “Rashida, Ilhan, and Alexandria have times dated to questions out foreign policy, and the influence of money in our political system. And now, lobbying groups across the board are working to punish them.”
The email then asked for people to contribute to help “keep up the fight against lobbying and special interests of all forms in Washington.””
And that’s not all.

Those on the left, particularly entities such as MoveOn, aren’t thrilled with Trump’s support of Israel. I can only imagine the gnashing of teeth with the Golan Heights announcement yesterday. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s comments were probably like nails on a chalkboard to them.
Two days ago, prior to Trump’s Golan Heights announcement, MoveOn tweeted this.

Not very long ago it would’ve been unthinkable that the Democrat party would blatantly flip to an anti-Israel stance.
When freshman Congresswoman Ilhan Omar came out with smears whose anti-Semitic nature couldn’t be denied, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer responded rapidly, with unequivocal denunciation. But when Pelosi tried to steer a resolution condemning anti-Semitism through the House, her party’s young radicals, who rightly view themselves as representative of the Democrats’ base, rebelled. Omar and her fellow “progressives” won the day, and Pelosi replaced her anti-Semitism resolution with one so anodyne that Omar happily voted for it.
Yet here we are. At present, Pelosi and Schumer are scheduled to speak at AIPAC next week. Will they keep that commitment or will they drop out? If they do, then I fear John Hindraker’s premise is correct. It is ‘all about the Benjamins’ and Ilhan Omar is now the de facto leader of the Democrat party.

Scott says: “Those on the left, particularly entities such as MoveOn, aren’t thrilled with Trump’s support of Israel. ” If his collaboration with the Nazis wasn’t enough to prove it, this statement should make it painfully clear that Soros is a seriously self-loathing jew… what a POS. He needs to be in jail for his crimes, and his attempts (successful with obama) to influence our elections, and destroy the country.

His_Highness says: It is said that, for comedians, timing is everything. That also appears to be true in politics. On the day that most of the Dem candidates disrespected AIPAC, Trump says we should recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
Sadly, most American Jews don’t care about this. They care about “Israel” as a concept, but not as a country. Still, this might peel off one or two of them from voting for Democrat candidates.
njc says: Israel toyed with socialism and learned better. Judaism provides one of the footings of traditional morality. Jews have been history’s scapegoat, and the Left needs scapegoats, as do all movements and actors self-doomed to failure.
Russ Wood says: On the Golan Heights: when working in Israel in 1970, the company paid for bus tours for us foreign contractors. One tour took us along the old Syrian patrol road cut into the almost-vertical edge of the Heights. Below us lay a kibbutz, with its bomb-proof kindergarten. Necessary, because anyone on the patrol road could have ROLLED, never mind THROWN, a grenade into the kibbutz. I cannot see any way, short of near-annihilation, that Israel would return the Heights to their previous owners!
