The shooter in the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood rampage claimed the lives of three individuals and sent nine people to the hospital.
One of those victims was 44-year-old Garrett Swasey, a University of Colorado police officer who was killed while responding to the shooting situation. He was married and left behind a wife and two small children.
Another surprising — and ironic — twist to the tragic loss of Officer Garrett is that he was also co-pastor of Hope Chapel in Colorado Springs. Yes, he was a devout Christian, one of those people whom those of the Left have accused of “terrorism” in perpetration of the shooting rampage.
Scott Dontanville, another of Hope Chapel’s co-pastors and a friend of Officer Swasey for fifteen years, said, “Here’s a guy who worked full time as a police officer, and then gave a great amount of time to his local church and didn’t get a dime for it. He did it because it was the thing that he felt he needed to do.” Concerning Officer Swasey’s opinion on the abortion industry, Dontanville added that while Swasey would “disagree” with it, “I don’t think that was on his mind. He was there to save lives. That’s the kind of guy he is.”
Another co-pastor, Kurt Aichele, gave this heartbreaking interview on CNN earlier today, talking about the deep Christian faith which governed Officer Swasey’s life:

It won’t make much difference to the Left, however. They are quick to blame Christians and conservatives for this evil event.
As of this writing, Presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz is the only Republican to tweet about the shooting.
Praying for the loved ones of those killed, those injured & first responders who bravely got the situation under control in Colorado Springs

Of course the Senator’s gracious and non-political message means nothing to the Left.
@tedcruz Stop praying and start doing something instead of inciting the hatred that causes these acts of terrorism!

The Left can continue spew their venom. They’ll be in good company with fellow haters; it’s been reported that the Westboro Baptist Church plans to picket the funeral of Officer Swasey.
In the meantime, all of us at Victory Girls will continue to pray for all the victims and their loved ones — for those who were wounded and for the families of the three who lost their lives. At this time we especially pray for the family of Officer Garrett Swasey, a truly Christian man who lost his life to save those of others.
And what are you doing to stop it Donna Marie?
