Yesterday Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced indictments against 12 Russians for their roles in cyber crime, money laundering, and hacking the DNC, DCCC, and Clinton campaign in 2016. The Trump Baby GOTCHA balloon deflated in about .02 seconds when he announced that NO AMERICANS had been involved.

Which meant that the Democrats had to come up with another narrative QUICK! In fact, they came up with two.

First the Democrats along with John McCain started waving their arms and demanding that Trump not meet with Putin alone on Monday. You see, if he does, then we’ll never know if Trump is going to make Putin ‘fess up to targeting the 2016 election. Chuck Schumer (D-NY)

“These indictments are further proof of what everyone but the president seems to understand: President Putin is an adversary who interfered in our elections to help President Trump win.

“President Trump should cancel his meeting with Vladimir Putin until Russia takes demonstrable and transparent steps to prove that they won’t interfere in future elections. Glad-handing with Vladimir Putin on the heels of these indictments would be an insult to our democracy.”

And John McCain (R-AZ)

Secondly, they figured out that there is a GOTCHA! Trump KNEW about Russia when he ordered the Russians to get Hillary’s emails.

The indictment contains numerous intriguing details, including the fact that the Russian hacking of the emails of Clinton associates began on the same day that Trump publicly said, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 [Clinton] emails that are missing.”

Or as the New York Times headline states:

Trump Invited the Russians to Hack Clinton. Were They Listening?

The folks at the Old Gray Lady think so. They point out that the indictment, which you can read in full here, states that attacks on the Clinton campaign were stepped up a day or so after Trump issued his “order.” Therefore, it must mean that Trump was chief colluder!

Except, there’s one teeny tiny Bleach Bit of a problem with all of this.

In fact, emails of hers were deleted starting in 2014 and well before 2016 the server had vanished.

Suggesting that Trump impelled the Russian's to hack Clinton's server complete ignores the fact that Clinton's server had been taken down years before Trump said he hopes the Russians can find the deleted emails.

But they want it to be a touchdown SO BADLY!

Clinton Campaign chair John Podesta, whose password was … PASSWORD, is pretty happy about this.

“Donald Trump calls this a witch hunt? Well, we’ve just found some witches,” Podesta said. “And they’ve been indicted.”

Of course, all the dems and much of the media is also pointing out that those whom Mueller indicted before are Americans who are/were tied to President Trump in one way or another …so Russia! Collusion!

The problem is, not a single one of those indictments is directly tied to Russian hacking into the DNC, Clinton campaign or attempted hacks of state election systems. Not only that, but right now there is still exactly ZERO evidence that Mueller has anything on Trump.

But Trump said something the Democrats cry. Well sure, he SAID something during a campaign stop. But just because he said something and then Russian hackers and GRU dudes stepped up their hacking game does not a collusion make. Hot Air’s Allapundit says it more clearly. 

but you’re not going down on a conspiracy charge if you say “I wish X would happen” and then someone hears you and independently goes and does X.

It is a well known fact that Russia has been hacking the US for years. It’s also well known that, despite what the media and Democrats are saying, not one single vote was altered by the Russians in 2016. It’s also very well known that the DNC and DCCC was extremely careless with their IT security. Imran Awan anyone?

Given how the Democrats and media are positioning themselves since yesterday it’s a pretty fair bet that no matter what is or isn’t said between Trump and Putin, the collusion narrative and Hillary protection racket will continue.
