Psycho drama performed by some of America’s most privileged youngsters on the toniest of campuses.

The latest from Scripps College – one of the five colleges (5C) in Southern California considered part of the West Coast Ivy League – is the drama over the campus group, Cafe con Leche, hosting a pool party at the school where white students were to be barred from attending.

The three-hour use of Scripps’ Sallie Tiernan House Pool is aimed at the creation of “a safe space for 5C students that identify as POC to come together and build community,” and will be open to only students identifying as POC attending the Claremont Colleges […]

Cafe con Leche also advertised the event on its own Facebook page, adding in its post that the pool party will be “POC ONLYYYY.”

It would appear that nation-wide attention to the blatant and quite public racism by the event’s organizers caused enough embarrassment that the party was postponed. Yet, this is just another entry in a long string of incidents where students claim they are “unsafe“.

Please try to imagine a world in which parents fork over $55,000 per year to send their precious princess to a campus where safety was a daily concern.

Yes, me neither.

It was only last year that the 5C’s was embroiled in controversy over another act of racism-for-safety and white-girls-take-off-those-hoops. Again, the excuses offered for the racism are about “safety”

“People of color are allowed to create safe POC only spaces. It is not reverse racism or discriminatory, it is self preservation [sic],” Sara Roschdi (PZ ’17), another Pitzer Latino Student Union member, stated.

Don’t oppress me with your ideas!

The abuse of language in order to shut down ideas that challenge one’s shibboleths is widespread and leads to some outrageous performances. CUNY law students tried to shut down a talk by Law Professor Josh Blackman

Blackman was invited to speak by the Federalist Society Chapter at the City University of New York (CUNY) Law School. That did not sit well with some progressive law school activists, who tried to shut down and shout-down the event.

The irony is that these law students where holding signs stating “Rule of Law = white supremacy”, “Constitutional Originalism = white supremacy” and one student shouted “F**k the law!

Plus this bit of delicious chutzpah because the speech wasn’t canceled:

“CUNY Law is threatening us and protecting speakers.”

It is also acceptable on campus to be racist towards a person-of-color as long as the precious progressive darlings direct their bile towards someone who is off their plantation.

In early March, HWS YAF invited Burgess Owens, a Super Bowl Champion, author, Fox News contributor, and conservative thinker, to speak on our campus about individual responsibility. Owens delivered, emphasizing the importance of a positive, loving attitude and the inherent specialness of every individual.

However, one student said during the question and answer session, “I just wanted to say on behalf of all the white people here in the room, thank you for justifying your racism because, you know, it’s much harder to do from a white face.”

Before returning to her seat, she insisted she thought Owen’s real name was not “Burgess,” but rather “Tom,” openly using a racial pejorative.

Tuition at Hobart and William Smith Colleges: $53,000/year

Ahem.

These youngsters need to be sent home and school alumni should be withholding any donations or endowments until these colleges clean house. And employers should be looking closely at applications and rejecting applicants who come out of these indoctrination factories.

If the Mao-lings are this unreasonable and insufferable in a cloistered environment like college, just imagine the nightmares they will create when faced with the real world of the workplace!

I think it’s great. They’re exercising their Constitutionally-protected Freedom of Association. May we all be allowed to do the same.

    • GWB says:

I concur. Except only certain groups are now allowed that right.

So now I’ll insist they follow their own rules.

I hope this comment was sarcasm Your freedom of association also means others are free not to associate with you

“…just imagine the nightmares they will create when faced with the real world of the workplace!”

For three years now I’ve been waiting for stories about that.

    Nada

Either someone is hiring these insufferable automatons, or they’ve all sequestered themselves somewhere. WUWT?

Let them say what they will say. And then let us respond as we will respond. I can’t imagine these folks getting hired by any reasonable HR department if the facts are known.

  • Tempest in a tea cup. As the FB announcement states, its for students *who identify* as POC. Today, I identify as a black tranny. Tomorrow I think I shall be an Asian bi-curious teen. Get with it people. Yesterday never was.

We all changed our tune when we went out into the real world because there are so many grown ups out there who insist on performance not attitude. Let these kids have their fun now, it changes fast once you get off campus. Also, the majority don’t pay much attention to all these radicals even though the news reports make it seem like this stuff is normal. Even at Evergreen most of the students left while the fuss went on, the MSM just concentrates on drama instead of reality. The country will survive these kids just like it did the anti Vietnam protesters, guess what the hippies grew up!

    “CUNY law is threatening us…”

These people are speaking Dumpty, not English. “‘When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.'” Communication is impossible, so I don’t even try.

The proper response to this nonsense is a pithy “Fuck off”.

  • Steve S. says:

If they’re going to have People of Color (POC) events, perhaps the white students could hold People of Shades events…
