Meryl Streep has been running just about as fast as she can from Harvey Weinstein. But you know whose fault this really is? Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump’s, of course.
No, really.
Award-winning actress Meryl Streep took a shot at first lady Melania Trump and White House adviser Ivanka Trump for their “silence” on sexual harassment.
In an interview with the New York Times published Wednesday, Streep was asked about her own silence on the allegations against film producer Harvey Weinstein.
“I don’t want to hear about the silence of me. I want to hear about the silence of Melania Trump. I want to hear from her. She has so much that’s valuable to say. And so does Ivanka. I want her to speak now,” Streep responded.
Yes, you read that right. Meryl Streep, who referred to Harvey Weinstein as “God“…

… and has defended and cheered for child rapist Roman Polanski…
… she doesn’t want to talk about Harvey Weinstein and how she either turned a blind eye because it was great for her career, or confess that she’s just an empty-headed oblivious idiot who got famous for saying words other people put in her mouth. She wants Melania and Ivanka to speak up!
Can we all acknowledge that Melania and Ivanka are in a no-win situation here? If they say or do anything in regard to the issue of sexual harassment, they will immediately get bludgeoned with the reputation of husband or father by the media. You know, exactly the same way Hillary Clinton was slammed by the media for Bill’s sexual assault history. Oh wait….
Deflecting aside, Meryl Streep is a moral coward of the worst kind.
Meryl Streep really going for the gold here in the Shithead Olympics. Gives Weinstein the Polanski treatment ("Evil, yes. But what an artist!"). Then pivots to *squints* calling out Melania Trump in response to a question specifically about Weinstein. https://t.co/VoKPN0dGSl pic.twitter.com/CJPttV4MSl

It *would* benefit #MeToo if Melania and Ivanka spoke out more. More voices, more action. But Streep hiding behind them to excuse her own silence is some real chickenshit, especially after years of cheerleading Weinstein and pretending to be some sort of women's rights warrior.

Contrast Streep’s mealy-mouthed finger pointing with angry dad Paul Sorvino. Harvey Weinstein better be praying he never runs into this man.

Because this man loves his daughter.

And like any dad who loves his daughter, he probably wouldn’t think twice about giving the scumbag who tried to hurt her – and did derail her career – a proper beatdown.

Gotta be a parent to understand. I get this… I'd be there handing him the tire iron.

Paul Sorvino goes full-on Goodfellas at Harvey Weinstein. “Paulie might have moved slow, but that was because Paulie didn’t move for anybody. Paulie hated phones…” https://t.co/LIWgxlejFO

Run and hide, Harvey Weinstein. And take Meryl Streep with you.
Liberal women believe all men are pigs because liberal women hang out with liberal men.
Conservative women hang out with conservative men and therefore have a much higher opinion of men.
