Little Girl Crying: How EVERYONE Got Key Immigration Photo Wrong [VIDEO]

The photo of a sweet little girl in a red shirt and curly hair crying her eyes out went viral. Hearts broke all over the world and the rage against President Trump regarding his oh so heinous policies of detaining illegal immigrants ramped up to eleventy billion with a truckload of jackassery thrown in. Only one problem. That little girl was standing RIGHT NEXT TO HER MOTHER.

Denis Javier Varela Hernandez, 32, said that he had not heard from his wife Sandra, 32, who was with his two-year-old daughter Yanela Denise, for nearly three weeks until he saw the image of them being apprehended in Texas.

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Hernandez, who lives in Puerto Cortes, Honduras, says that he was told yesterday that his wife and child are being detained at a family residential center in Texas but are together and are doing ‘fine.’

‘You can imagine how I felt when I saw that photo of my daughter. It broke my heart. It’s difficult as a father to see that, but I know now that they are not in danger. They are safer now than when they were making that journey to the border,’ he said.

Wait a minute. What was that again?

That sweet little girl was never and I mean NEVER forcibly separated from her parent? That’s a media narrative blown all to hell now isn’t it?

Yet the media keeps spinning. Just take a gander at the latest from MSNBC.

Yeah, NARRATIVE!! Meanwhile, Time magazine couldn’t resist and this was the result.

Do you think they’ll disappear that cover down the rabbit hole now that the truth is out? Do you think they’ll disappear the cover once they realize that the child’s father, Denis Javier Varela Hernandez, isn’t a fan of illegal immigration?

Denis said that he believes the journey across the border is only worth it to some degree, and admits that it’s not something he would ever consider.

He said he heard from friends that his wife paid $6,000 for a coyote – a term for someone who smuggles people across the border.

‘I wouldn’t risk my life for it. It’s hard to find a good job here and that’s why many people choose to leave. But I thank God that I have a good job here. And I would never risk my life making that journey.’

Once again, something that harshes the narrative once again. OOPS. But never mind that. Time magazine ran with that cover, because CHILDREN!! TAKEN FROM PARENTS!! WE MUST BE OUTRAGED!!

Here’s the problem with that photoshop and the original photo per photographer John Moore:

Speaking to People magazine he said that the girl’s mother was the last to be searched and a female agent asked her to put Yanela down so she could pat her down.

Moore said: ‘The mother hesitated and then set down the little girl and the child immediately started crying.

He was 6ft away from the child and watched the entire episode happen! Yet, did John Moore nor anyone else ever think that she was crying because she had picked up on the tension regarding the situation? If a parent is tense, a child will be tense. Thus the child will either go silent, act out, or cry. That is just plain and simple fact that any parent can attest to.

Answer is, NO. No he did not.

Yet what does John Moore have to say in response?

So, in other words, he won’t retract the photo. Said photo has traveled the world eleventy billion times. But the REAL story behind the photo? The story he never bothered to publish because ANTI-TRUMP NARRATIVE DAMMIT!? Yeah… that’s doesn’t count.

Reason Number 978 trillion as to why the media has exactly zero credibility.

That sweet little girl deserves a better story than the one John Moore pinned on her. President Donald Trump didn’t create this false narrative. John Moore did.

“He said he heard from friends that his wife paid $6,000 for a coyote –..”
These stories make me have questions. How did the wife get $6 grand? In a Central American economy that’s probably the equivalent of maybe $40 thousand for an average American in cost of living terms. Did she save it? If so, how? She is supposedly living in poverty and destitute. If she was given the money, then by whom? And for what purpose? Purely a gift, or in expectation of some service or help once she obtained residence in the US? No one seems to ask these questions.

Exactly George! and Hadn’t heard from them in 3 weeks? did he know what she was doi g? did he try to stop her, or get his daughter back? I’d damn sure be doing something if I hadn’t heard from my wife and child for 3 weeks…

  • Timmy says:

Why did she leave her husband? To work and send money back? Then why saddle yourself with a small child?

How did he just happen to be watchin at the right time to see his wife?

    So many questions.

  • Freddie Sykes says:

People who point out that the Holy Family went to Egypt fail to point out one important fact: there was no welfare system in Egypt. We cannot afford both a welfare system and open borders. Pick one.

    • Randy Wilde says:

Not to mention Egypt was just another part of the Roman Empire.

      • Scott says:

And that they were going there in order to COMPLY with the law! They were going to they were going to their birthplace to be counted in the Census

        • GWB says:

Actually, they went to Egypt because little Jesus was going to be killed, otherwise. By the government. You know, real persecution.

They were in Bethlehem because of taxes/census.

There are so many questions prompted by this picture that need to be answered, and the media misses them all, in favor of jerking our tears. They think it is fueling the blue wave, they are mistaken. If a terrible story exists, you don’t need lies to tell it.

‘ I thank God that I have a good job here. And I would never risk my life making that journey.’

Wait, Dad has a “good job” in Honduras? The what the h-e-double hockey sticks in Mom and daughter doing in Texas?

“He [Dad] said the situation in Honduras is ‘very difficult but it’s not worth it to risk the mother’s life and the girl’s life.’ So why is this the second time that wife/mother has been caught trying to break in?

He’s opposed to it, but she went anyway – taking his baby girl with her. Isn’t that kidnapping?

  • Flying Dutchman says:

Why do we need more people in this country, anyway?

One big thing that folks in Central American national can do to clean up their problems at home: stop voting for socialists.

    • GWB says:

I say we practice strong border enforcement combined with export of our 2d Amendment. See if that makes a difference. (Probably not, as they will likely simply install another dictator, and the socialists will overthrow him in short order.)

  • SDN says:

They didn’t get it wrong; they deliberately lied and knew they were lying. Occam’s Razor.

  • Bill G says:

It’s an extremely dangerous journey, especially for women and children. Could it be the child was crying because of what happened before when her mother set her down?

    • Steve Sherman says:

The Mom says she was thirsty – because Mom forgot to bring water for the desert crossing with the human smuggler?

Ohh…the poor downtrodden future democrat plantation mansion housekeeper and democrat voter. Everyone has a right to come to America and enjoy the good life. Don’t forget to vote democrat because that’s a nice welfare check you got there and it would be a shame if anything happened to it.

    Assuming facts not in evidence.

Yet, did John Moore nor anyone else ever think that she was crying because she had picked up on the tension regarding the situation?
Or, even more likely (as the mother herself has said), the kid was TIRED, since it was almost 11pm at night.

He was 6ft away from the child
Yeah, F* the truth, because he has some propaganda to sell.
I wonder if John Moore has ever worked the Palestinian-Israeli conflict as a photog? Is he a union member of Paliwood?
