Today I have no “breaking” story to link or Al Gore hypocrisy to blog. I will not be quoting a talking head, liberal or conservative. All the information and opinion about Obama and his domestic and foreign agenda is apparent and available and has been for a very long time to anyone paying attention. Smart and patriotic readers of this blog have already read, heard, or watched all the scandals, political power grabs, corruption, hedonism, Anti-Americanism, and cowardice by our current elected leaders and have formed an opinion about what has happened to our country and how we got to this pititful point. Even as Obama surrenders to our enemies, and knowingly places our country and others in a very exposed and mortally dangerous position, we will watch the usual jeering at conservative objection and the usual self-congratulatory missives by the champions and defenders of his purposeful capitulation to Iran. Anything…anything at all for the political “win”. Even if America loses. Everything.
Citizens will continue to chatter and argue, sometimess quite cleverly, sometimes quite insanely, on Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere, while Iran races to their repeatedly stated goal: the annihilation of Israel and the permanent crippling of the United States of America. Iran won’t have to try very hard, because Obama has essentially given them all the tools as well as his permission to do so.
I continue to wistfully look backward to the American men and women who came before us. All the generations of tough Americans who had the guts and unselfish courage to unite against a common enemy, without pause, posturing, pondering or political consideration. I know I am foolish to do so, because they are all but gone and their magnificent deeds will have meant nothing when we are enslaved by a combination of two enemies, one of which is our own federal government, led by an egomaniacal community organizer, intent on unrestricted executive powers.
Yes, I am very aware of and still honor, love and support the many brave and unselfish heroes we still have amongst us – men and women who willingly will give their lives for their country under the misdirection of an uncaring and indifferent President. Too bad their deeds and honor are usurped and ignored daily by a culture and media that admires and exalts decadent and useless celebrities, including the President. I wonder daily, sometimes hourly, if I am also foolish to continue to believe and hope that the remaining good and decent people – honorable citizens who remember what liberty and justice means and what you have to do to keep it – will be able to unite and fight off the landslide of incompetence, idolatry, selfishness, foreign aggression, and pure evil that is gathering speed and threatening to crush us all.
The price Americans, Israel, and others will pay for the utter folly that is the Obama presidency, with his corrupt and dishonest administration, and an ignorant and foolish citizenry that supports them will be significant and long lasting. An arrogant President that treats the citizens of this country with disdain and gives sworn enemies the latitude and ease to build nuclear weapons isn’t any kind of leader. He is a dangerous fraud.
A nuclear Iran is thrilled that Obama is such an amateur sympathizer. They have a well-known goal and Obama and his minions have cleared the path for them to reach it. You can debate the motivation and policy that leads to such “a deal”, and I’m very sure you will read, see, or hear various partisan reasons, but does it matter at this point? It’s already here. It’s real and it’s terrifying. Sanctioned by Obama, his minions and media minstrals.
It pains me to publish this on a day that begins the Thanksgiving week. How sad I feel. Not only do I feel such a dread and trepidation about our future, but also a nostalgic melancholy about so much sacrifice made by so many for the sake of liberty, freedom, American exceptionalism, and our safety. All that is now forfeited by a singularly very bad and petty man who believes those noble ideals threaten his political agenda and stifles his need for absolute control.
I am thankful for my life in America, the greatest country on earth, and my many blessings I have BECAUSE of the sacrifices of others. When I bow my head to thank God for it all, I will offer a mighty prayer for the salvation of America. I know we are already paying the price for the multitude of sins and follies of our political leaders. The path toward our children and grandchildren’s future is already strewn with debt, wreckage, hopelessness and regret.
I will pray that they will survive to have the chance, the courage, and the strength to rectify the “change” Obama has brought to us all.
And I will pray for “hope”.
Maybe it’s time to dig a new fall out shelter?

Our hope – just as that of our forefathers in this great land – is not in our fellow citizens, but in Freedom itself, in the God of that Freedom, and in the Divine hand of Providence. BTW, something in the guest post seems to be killing the loading of the main page for me (using IE8). It gets about a paragraph in and no more loads on the page – including the two columns on the right.
