The Democrats Lightbringer Is Now A Washed Up Has Been

Barak Obama used to command huge crowds and gushing adoration from the Democrats and media alike. These days? Not so much.

Oh, he definitely thinks he still has that “IT” factor, and can gaslight with the best of them as evidenced by this comment last week at Hamilton College.

Imagine if I had done any of this. Imagine if I had pulled Fox News’ credentials from the White House press corps. Imagine if I had said to law firms that were representing parties that were upset with policies my administration had initiated, that you will not be allowed into government buildings. We will punish you economically for dissenting from the Affordable Care Act or the Iran deal. We will ferret out students who protest against my policies.

It’s unimaginable that the same parties that are silent now would have tolerated behavior like that from me, or a whole bunch of my predecessors.

The sheer gall of him to claim that his eight years as President were trouble free, and that no one in his Administration went after Americans or reporters for that matter. The Iran Deal was bad, Obamacare was bad then and it’s worse now. He was totally fine with Ferguson burning down, he went after Fox News reporter James Rosen, targeted nuns, and sic’ed the IRS on Americans. And do NOT get me started on Solyndra, the Paris Accords, taxes, and his multiple foreign policy failures, including having Hillary as Secretary “reset button” of State.

It’s interesting that he’s claiming all this, and is attempting to gaslight his audience into believing that if it weren’t for we plebians out there whether Democrat or Republican, we all got complacent and we only have ourselves to blame.

So, um, and I do think one of the reasons that our commitment to democratic ideals has eroded is that we got pretty comfortable and complacent. You know, it has been easy during most of our lifetimes to say you are a progressive or say you are for social justice or say you’re for free speech and not have to pay a price for it. And now we’re at one of those moments where, you know what, it’s not enough just to say you’re for something.

You may actually have to do something and possibly sacrifice a little bit. So yeah, if you’re a law firm being threatened, you might have to say, okay, we will lose some business because we’re going to stand for a principle. If you are a university, if you are a university, you may have to say, figure out, are we in fact doing things right?

Have we in fact violated our own values, our own code, violated the law in some fashion? If not, and you’re just being intimidated, well, you should be able to say, well, that’s why we got this big endowment. We’ll stand up for what we believe in and we’ll pay our researchers for a while out of that endowment and we’ll give up the extra wing or the fancy gymnasium that, we can delay that for a couple of years because, you know, academic freedom might be a little more important.

He had his lecture hat on again with his nose firmly in the air. He’s the all powerful Lightbringer who knows all, and expects the masses to nod approvingly, clap like seals, and ask how high to jump.

Obama has always thought of himself as an entertainer. He lives off the self affirming applause. You see him light up after every punchline. Obama valued being a celebrity and being accepted by other celebrities and journalists over being president of the free world

And he is mostly the reason of why we are now at Donald Trump.

What’s even more instructive about Obama’s latest lecture, is that his power is indeed well past its sell by date.

He couldn’t get Joe over the finish line a second time, and literally stood back to watch Kamala implode. And now the Democrats are asking “who?” when his name is brought up.

Democrats, who overwhelmingly consider Trump too extreme, have yet to consolidate around any one-party leader to serve as a counterpoint. Asked in an open-ended question to name the Democratic leader they feel “best reflects the core values” of the party, 10% of Democratic-aligned adults name New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 9% former vice president Kamala Harris, 8% Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and 6% House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Another 4% each name former president Barack Obama and Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, with Schumer joining a handful of others at 2%.

More than 30% didn’t offer a name in response. “No one,” one respondent answered. “That’s the problem.” [Emphasis Added]

FOUR PERCENT. That’s the level of confidence in Barak Obama these days. Kamala, amazingly, even beats him in this polling. I’d hate to see what the REAL numbers line out to be if the remaining 30% had offered a name. But again, this just shows that Obama’s Lightbringer status no longer has the street cred it used to.

It must just put his shorts in a very big knot to know that his Lightbringer “it” factor is no longer moving any needles within the Democrat party.

Mooch’s wife has always been a self important fraud. Maybe enough people are finally seeing through his
    America hating BS..

His three terms went along way toward accomplishing his “transformation of America.” Let’s hope Trump can rescue America with his one term available.

Historians will rate him as one of the greatest presidents but only because of his race. In truth his actual accomplishments put him around Jimmy Carter and his failures have stoked up race relations to a point worse than the 1960’s. Still don’t understand why, because he is the greatest genius ever to grace our planet with his presence, we can’t see his academic transcripts.

I wonder who wrote all that for him.

Imagine that James Eastman and Rudy Giuliani had not been disbarred at the behest of the 65 Project.
