SPLC: Parents Rights Groups Are Worse Than The KKK

The SPLC (Souther Poverty Law Center) published its annual ‘Hate Map’ yesterday, with new groups added. They claim that Parental Rights groups are equal to or worse than the KKK.

Over the past two years, reactionary anti-student inclusion groups have been popping up from coast to coast, claiming to battle for parents’ rights. Just like their predecessors, their rhetoric takes on marked anti-LGBTQ, racist and nationalist themes, excluding from their parental concern large demographics segments of American society.

These groups publicize their fight for alleged parents’ rights while simply attempting to maintain absolute authority on issues they oppose. In 2021 their primary issue was any curriculum that focused on greater inclusivity, particularly if race or the history of racism (deemed critical race theory) were addressed.

As Mary Chastain over at Legal Insurrection asks, why pay attention to this? Because far too many people DO believe the swill the SPLC promotes. Case in point?

Given how the DOJ weaponized its agency and the FBI against parents these last two years, to have a former FBI agent go on national TV and applaud the SPLC’s labeling gives one a solid idea as to where many in the FBI stand regarding the validity of SPLC’s claims. Then again, he’s been on this kick for quite awhile now.

Here’s the issue with this, and it’s a big issue. The parents rights groups that the SPLC is now claiming are hate-filled extremists are groups that are working hard to protect children from such things as:

Sexual assault, that schools have covered up. Loudon County is a prime example as the district still refuses to acknowledge their wrong-doing in covering up the assault of a young girl and working to have her father arrested and jailed for trying to get answers.

Keeping sexually graphic novels out of the school libraries. Which the SPLC and other groups claim is discriminatory. It’s evident they don’t care if the material is age appropriate or not. Parents concerns and questions on this material are labeled as hateful.

Wanting schools to hold teachers accountable to TEACH. They don’t want teachers to promote their own ideology onto the students. Parents rights groups are being labeled as extremists for wanting teachers and schools held to educational standards. And, quite frankly, educational standards should not include the promotion of sexual ideologies.

Schools actively working to exclude parents from knowing their child is even thinking about transitioning. Which led to one young girl being yanked from her family because they protested and she was sex-trafficked horrifically for months until her family was able to get her back.

As we know in Minnesota and now in Glendale, California, parents are protesting the promotion of ideologies as it not only goes against how they want their children raised, it is going against their religious beliefs.

Yet the SPLC is labeling THEM as the extremists, while ignoring all the Antifa who are targeting parents and receive slaps on the wrist for their destruction of property, and are applauding people like this one.

According to SPLC, that teacher isn’t an extremist. Parents are. Then again, this is the same SPLC that worked closely with the J6 Committee to go after people who dared even THINK about protesting the election let alone showing up in DC on that day.

This is also the same SPLC that had attorneys directly involved in the Georgia cop protests just the other month.

Just yesterday parents in Maryland (Christian AND Muslim) gathered to protest the fact that the school district took away the OPT OUT option regarding the teaching of LGBTQ materials to their children. That’s right. The district told parents they can’t opt their kids OUT of being taught this material. Well, the parents were having none of that and protested. Which led to a Maryland Democrat labeling all of them as white supremacists.

It is parents like that whom the Southern Poverty Law Center is labeling as extremists.

Parents are not allowed to express their opinions, their concerns, nor advocate for their children and their child’s education, and the parents rights groups such as Mom’s For Liberty are the worst according to the SPLC.

“The group hijacks meetings, preventing officials and parents from conducting their normal proceedings,” the report adds, claiming that the organization’s activities “make it clear that the group’s primary goals are to fuel right-wing hysteria and to make the world a less comfortable or safe place for certain students – primarily those who are Black, LGBTQ or who come from LGBTQ families.”

SPLC’s President and CEO Margaret Huang said in a press release Tuesday that the report is “exposing a concerted effort by hate groups and extremist actors to terrorize communities and gain control of public institutions by any means necessary.”

Nope. That’s extremist to the SPLC and we have far too many in our local, state, and federal government who agree with that assessment. Yet teachers who go on unhinged rants are great and wonderful! And then they wonder why have they a credibility issue and lose at the ballot box

I’m so old I remember when speaking out at a school board meeting was free speech and terrorism involved actual violence.

You’re going to be treated like a terrorist anyway; might as well do something effective before they gulag you.

Do they think that won’t happen?

It’s amazing to me. We have solved the problem of real racism in this nation so SPLC realizes that they have to make shit up in order to keep the donations coming.

That right there is pure, unadulterated bulls**t.

adding it wouldn’t be govt “trying to police…thoughts.”
You’re right. It would just be requiring adherence to the Progressive religion. Where there are no actual ‘thoughts’ involved.

I’m going to disagree. The problem is NOT that schools are indoctrinating children with ideologies, but which ideologies into which they are indoctrinating them. When America was still a predominantly Christian nation, we welcomed the reinforcement of Christian morals and precepts – even while trying to leave aside sectarian issues – through our schools. They were taught the 10 Commandments (and expected to abide by the Second Table), and the “sexual ideology” was “It takes two to tango (and there are just two), and you shouldn’t be tangoing until you’re an adult (and preferably married).”
The problem is Progressivism has an entirely different set of morals: hedonism and transhumanism. And that is what’s now being taught to the children.

The district told parents they can’t opt their kids OUT of being taught this material.
Of course not. This is right and true and moral, according to Progressivism. Why should they let us heathen and apostates opt out?

to terrorize communities and gain control of public institutions
Guess what? We’re Americans, and we’re supposed to terrorize tyrants.
Heck, it’s even my state’s seal: sic semper tyrannis over a warrior having slain a tyrant.
I am not only ok with that, but think it hasn’t been done nearly enough in the last 50 years.
