Seattle was abuzz (or a bust) this weekend, depending how you looked at it. There’s the World Cup craziness and yes, how can we forget? Pride weekend..

For the “cool kid” playgroups who organize

People from a group called ‘Friends of Denny Blaine’ (were) marching in the nude. Some onlookers clapped and cheered, while the video panned to young children watching the spectacle.

The ‘Friends of Denny Blaine” website says it is dedicated to protecting Denny Blaine Park, which is known for its “historic nude & queer character.” Currently, the park is facing a lawsuit from concerned citizens over its graphic nature, according to the website.

‘Nude ≠ Lewd,’ ‘Free to be Naked’ and ‘Nude is Nourishing,’ read signs held by the marchers in the parade.”-Peter D’Abrosca, Fox News

There were also the naked cyclists wheeling around and flapping in the cool, Pacific Northwest breeze in front of the kids at Seattle Pride.

Yeah, right. The judges in the City of Seattle cannot try criminals for violent crimes without one claiming they are “unfit to stand trial”. Police cannot ticket or arrest for public drug use. People actually want others arrested for parading around in the nude? Good luck with that one.

The above explains so much of why Seattle is such a sh#thole.

Others at Seattle Pride were not completely in the buff, but were, arguably, parading yet another form of kink. Enter the Furries.

Seattle Pups and Handlers received one of the largest ovations from the Seattle Pride Parade crowd on Sunday.

Members are described as individuals who roleplay as dogs or other animals, often wearing gear like hoods, tails, and collars. The organization says it’s a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for adults (18+) to explore this kink.”-TPUSA

At a glance, the group, Seattle Pups and Handlers looks like an organization that may be akin to a pet-owners playgroup or a dog-walking service. Wrong. Apparently, being a “puppy” in this group means being the submissive in the animal role-play, BDSM world.

And, if there is any argument against this claim, look no further than the local metro’s ParentMap publication. Inside this month’s issue is a comprehensive list of Seattle-area Pride events for families. Among them were, Prideful Playdate at The Seattle Children’s Museum, where families can design identity bracelets and their very own family pride flag. There was coloring during Toddler Time and Queer Community Day at The Seattle Aquarium. Rainbow Drag Queen BINGO, and even a place to take your actual pup (the real canine member of your family) for rainbow pup cups.

Where’s the summer literacy program? Or sessions for Keeping kids brushed-up on what little math skills they’ve been taught? Perhaps a penmanship workshop is in order? One may think I’m kidding, but I have seen high school seniors who cannot and will not write their last name on a signature block. I’m sure ParentMap has a small list of resources tucked away in their publication somewhere, along with a tutoring company or two for the revenue stream of distribution costs.

The irony is not lost on us that the Seattle pride parade took place on a Sunday, where some people may be in church. This is not about loving others regardless of their lifestyle or beliefs. This is blatant peddling of debauchery, kink, fetish and indecency in front of children. It is unapologetically divisive and craven.
