You selfish Americans and your need for modern conveniences.! A French politician is blaming the United States and greenhouse gases from air conditioning for heat deaths in Europe. The Deputy Mayor of Paris, Audrey Pulvar, is typically blaming the good old USA. Blame us because you don’t speak German either. How soon they forget. I understand that she is a Socialist, so typical.
With the world visiting the USA for soccer/football this summer, Mademoiselle Audrey might be the only one who blames us. The ones who don’t want it are just jealous. Check out this article from the Washington Post:
The British food vlogger tried barbecue in Dallas, bagels in New York and cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, but when he returned to England from his World Cup trip, another American specialty dominated his thoughts.
“Absolute bliss,” he recalled. “The best thing in the world.”
That would be air conditioning.
Jono Yates, 39, fixated on the 62-degree comfort of his Hilton hotel suites like a man tormented by forbidden love. They probably weren’t meant to be — the YouTuber and the cool blast. Could he actually splurge on a system he’d use maybe a few weeks each year? Or was it months now?
Summer in his county, Cheshire, was getting hotter as Europe suffered its most blistering heat wave on record. Schools shuttered. Train tracks warped. Dozens regionwide have died from heatstroke and drowning. Brits sought relief in bathtubs and baby pools in a nation where an estimated 4 percent of households had what Yates called “air-con,” compared with approximately 20 percent on the European continent and 90 percent in the United States.
Sixty-two degrees is a little brisk, even for me. My husband dresses like he is going to hike the Yukon when it is July in East Tennessee. I like the air at seventy degrees.
People that use the term "soccer" have been to the moon. Others are arguing about air conditioning.

We were lucky enough to see this article from the New York Post last night:
A Paris politician blamed Americans and US air conditioning for the record-breaking heatwave in Europe that has resulted in more than 1,300 excess deaths.
After US tourists mocked France over the lack of air conditioning across the country amid 104 degree temperatures, Audrey Pulvar, deputy mayor of Paris for international relations, claimed the situation was partly America’s fault.
“Dear American journalists and social media ‘influencers’: for days, some of you have been criticizing and making fun of Paris because the city does not have A/C in every room…OMG, this is so rich!” Pulvar wrote on social media.
“As the second-largest emitter of greenhouse gas emissions in the world, you bear a significant amount of responsibility for global warming and the consequences we, in France, are experiencing. Your cities, which are 90 per cent air conditioned, are not unrelated to this,” she added.
“So please, enough with the lecture. Just start doing your part,” the post concluded.
The population of France is 68.5 million and they have had 1300 deaths so far this Summer. That is .0019% of the population lost only to heat. That is outrageous. But, acceptable to the French, according to the Paris Deputy Mayor Pulvar.
These people are dying and yet they would rather “save the planet” than themselves. Thanks a lot. The U.S. is only the second largest greenhouse gas emitter.
The French sleep outside in parks or rent hotel rooms.
What's your reaction to Paris Deputy Mayor Audrey Pulvar who blames Americans and our air conditioning for Europe’s deadly heat wave that’s killed over 1,300 people?
Told us to "do our part" while France sweats with almost no AC.🤷🏼♀️ pic.twitter.com/fIXKcaIupM

More from the New York Post:
France has long-been resistant to air conditioning, with only 25% of households in the country equipped with such cooling units.
The reticence to install AC has been attributed to concerns over the environment, the culture, and strict building codes — but the tides have begun changing as summers get hotter and hotter.
The spat between Pulvar and Americans comes amid a record heatwave in Europe, with France experiencing a surge of deaths that have left morgues struggling to keep up.
France has recorded at least 1,300 excess deaths since June 21, the public health agency said on Sunday, warning that the final figures could be higher.
Detailing its preliminary count of excess deaths over the weekend, Sante Publique France said most of the fatalities involved older people.
Scientists have said the current heat wave, which began on June 20, was the worst recorded in Europe, where the climate is changing faster than the global average.
World Weather Attribution, a Europe-based collaboration of scientists, published a report Friday stating that the current heatwave would not have been possible without climate change.
The current heatwave surpasses the devastating 2003 heatwave, which was blamed for the deaths of 15,000 people in France.
“World Weather Attribution, a Europe-based collaboration of scientists, published a report Friday stating that the current heatwave would not have been possible without climate change.” Because, of course, the climate has always changed, ever since God formed the Earth.
China is the number one emitter of greenhouse gasses. France isn’t going to grouse too much about that. The French are losing out to China in trade and innovation. Oops.
The French need to fermez la bouche. We don’t dictate they MUST have air conditioning. Meanwhile, the British, the French and all of Europe are welcome to visit the USA any time. Y’all come. We have air conditioning.

Still whipping the gorebull warming dead horse I see. A simple search shows that the Earth is in a warming phase from the last ice age and will get hotter. (Buy Greenland real estate for your great grand kids.) The current heat wave is caused by an anomaly in the weather.
Hey France! Suck it! Signed, ‘Murica.
