As you may recall, the psycho ward aka California has been on a hug-a-thug binge since at least 2011. At that time, Gov. Jerry Moonbeam Brown shoved through AB109 Prison Realignment which ended up releasing about 10K convicted felons from state prison. In 2014 Prop 47 was passed later followed by Prop 57 … both which essentially decriminalized all manner of property crimes. Add to that pro-criminal district attorneys in San Francisco and Los Angeles and stuff like this is happening everyday.

I am still not sure why they “flee”. They know that they won’t be prosecuted. They know that it’s only a misdemeanor and WE know they couldn’t give a rat’s azz about getting charge for one
