We are told from birth not to speak ill of the dead. The dead cannot defend the actions of their lives. Is this true of everyone? Serial killers? PDFs? Serial liars? President Donald Trump spoke harshly against former FBI Director Robert Mueller at news of his death. Mueller was appointed the Special Counsel investigating the ALLEGED Russia Collusion back in Trump’s first term. Remember? That whole thing was a huge load of elephant dung. How wrong was Mr. Trump.

Speaking ill of the dead is a crime against good manners, in my humble opinion. I wish Trump hadn’t said harsh things against the now late Robert Mueller. That’s Trump, though. That’s what he does. From Townhall:

Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller has passed away at the age of 81. The cause of death is unknown, but he had reportedly suffered from Parkinson’s before his death.

I am kind of feeling less harsh about Mr. Trump. More from Townhall:

Mueller had served as the director of the FBI from 2001 to 2013, but was best known for leading the two-year investigation into alleged connections between President Donald Trump and the Russian government during the 2016 election in a false narrative that was pushed heavily by Democrats and their media allies.

Republicans had called Mueller to testify in front of Congress last year, but he ignored the subpoena. Fox News had reported that Mueller was unable to appear due to a Parkinson’s diagnosis, according to family members.

Robert Mueller WAS diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in the summer of 2021 or it was announced then. The diagnosis is not a death sentence. Actor Michael J. Fox has lived with it for 30 years. There is a type of Parkinson’s Dementia and it’s entirely possible that Mueller was afflicted before 2017 when the diagnosis was first announced. Watch this X clip and see what you think.

I watched that House testimony and I remember thinking at the time that Mueller wasn’t the square jawed Marine that I remembered from the past. I remember thinking at the time that someone in his family should have stopped him from taking the Special Counsel post.

Democrats didn’t feel sorry for Mueller back then but they are sure happy to exploit his death to gang up on Trump now. From Politico:

“Every day, this president shows his basic indecency and unfitness for office,” Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) wrote on X in response to Trump’s statement.

The diatribe, in which Trump said he was “glad he’s dead” because he “can no longer hurt innocent people,” drew fierce condemnation from Democrats.

“The cruelty is the point,” Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer wrote on X. “Trump’s goal is to distract you from rising gas prices, his aimless war, ICE abuses, and the Epstein files. Don’t give him what he wants. And may Robert Mueller, a US Marine and lifelong public servant, rest in peace.”

Mueller and the president, Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) wrote on X Saturday, “represent polar opposites of what a public servant should be.”

“Yet the President of the United States disgustingly celebrates Mueller’s death simply because he exposed Trump’s efforts to steal the 2016 election,” Goldman said.

I shouldn’t be surprised by Thom Tillis. He’s a squish. Mark Warner is a Democrat hack. So no surprise with either of them. Barack Obama loved him some bootlicking so this also is no surprise:

“Bob Mueller was one of the finest directors in the history of the FBI, transforming the bureau after 9/11 and saving countless lives,” former President Barack Obama wrote on X. “But it was his relentless commitment to the rule of law and his unwavering belief in our bedrock values that made him one of the most respected public servants of our time. Michelle and I send our condolences to Bob’s family, and everyone who knew and admired him.”

Ugh. Ovimit!

Many of these people sicced Mueller and others on Donald Trump. Should we really be surprised when Trump goes after people like Robert Mueller? Trump has earned the right to drag these people. Especially when they all knew or should have known that Hillary Clinton was behind all of this.

Excuse but I am going to go on and not care a jot what Trump says about the dead guy.
