Rick Santorum Canned From CNN For Nothing

CNN has canned Rick Santorum. Why? For nothing. Oh, they and the rest of the liberal media are happy to tell us it was because of racist comments, but in reality, it was a whole lot of nothing.

What did he say that was so racist??

“We birthed a nation from nothing. I mean, there was nothing here,” Santorum told students during remarks at a Young America’s Foundation event. “I mean, yes, we have Native Americans, but candidly, there isn’t much Native American culture in American culture.”

Many of the usual suspects piled on in gleefully celebrating Rick’s ouster.

Via Salon:

“Rick Santorum is an unhinged and embarrassing racist who disgraces CNN and any other media company that provides him a platform,” National Congress of American Indians president Fawn Sharp said in a statement. “Televising someone with his views on Native American genocide is fundamentally no different than putting an outright Nazi on television to justify the Holocaust. Any mainstream media organization should fire him or face a boycott from more than 500 tribal nations and our allies from across the country and worldwide.”

Essentially, after his speech at the Young America’s Foundation, quite a number of individuals as well as several Indian organizations spent the last several weeks calling for Rick Santorum to be fired from CNN.

You can view his entire speech here.

Let’s look at the evidence shall we? By that I mean the evidence of what was and who was in this United States prior to and during our nation’s founding.

You know what? Prior to the first settlers, and I’m referring to Jamestown chiefly, there were very few settlers along the coast. Not only that, but the Indian tribes were still in a significant portion, nomadic. Not only that, some of them were nothing but warrior tribes who preyed on the lesser tribes, and then saw the colonists as easy prey for quite a number of years.

But as Rick Santorum says, there was nothing prior to the settling of the Colonies, and there was nothing as the years went on. What is he referring to? I would venture to guess he was referring to the fact that A. population was little to none for both white people and Indians. B. Infrastructure. There was none.

Seriously, look at the history of this Republic. Throughout this great land, there were Indian tribes, but their population compared to the sheer land mass of this country was very little. Secondly, there was very little infrastructure. There were Indian mounds in the east, adobe structures in the southwest along with the mystery of Mesa Verda, but quite frankly, not much else.

But according to all the scolds on the left, for a conservative to point out, clumsily I might add, those salient facts, he must be banned.

Fabulous. Then by the same token, Joy Behar of The View needs to be banned for her language and her use of blackface. Virginia Governor Northam as well.

Oh wait! There are others! Let’s look at the lovely ladies of The Squad who spew ugly anti-semitism.

Ilhan Omar

Cori Bush

Rashida Tlaib

AOC

By CNN’s rules, they should be completely and totally banned. By CNN’s rules, their rhetoric is enough to drive them from office.

Oh, but that isn’t because Rick Santorum is a conservative?

Well butter my biscuit and display the hypocrisy loud and wide.

As a matter of fact, the hypocrisy stinks mightily and the stench is emanating from CNN itself. Why?

Those darned Cuomo brothers with their slick CNN and Governor gigs… When will New York say enough regarding their grifting hypocrisy?

Look, I grew up in the West. I grew up KNOWING that Indians, trappers, explorers, and settlers clashed. I grew up knowing that people on both sides lost many times. Furthermore, I also grew up knowing that our government has, quite honestly, treated Native Americans badly.

Getting Rick Santorum kicked to the curb for his clumsy remarks won’t change that. Getting CNN to bow to the woke won’t unring the history bell in any way shape or form.

The Indian tribes defended their own, went to war against other Indian tribes, and when white people showed up, went to war against them as well. Our WORLD history is replete with the same.

Rick Santorum was correct. There wasn’t much here in when colonists first came to America’s shores. Secondly, there was and isn’t much, sadly, in our history books regarding the depth and breadth of Native American Indian lore we could learn from.

Perhaps instead of calling for Rick Santorum’s ouster, this could’ve been an opportunity for teaching. Sadly, that is not the case.
