The United States finally has its first gender detrasitioning clinic, a resource that is desperately needed.  It’s at Texas Children’s Hospital, but sadly it wasn’t the result of the butchers in white coats finally finding their conscience and coming to their senses. No, it was thanks to a lawsuit brought by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, which the hospital settled out of court. Part of the settlement involved opening a clinic to help kids and youth transition back to living as their biological sex. The clinic concentrates on patients under the age of 21, but also has obstetric and gynecologic care for older patients.

According to the professional activist class, failing to transition your child the moment he (or she? or neither? or both?) indicates an interest in it is tantamount to causing their suicide.  Although this has been widely debunked, transing themselves or their kids has become the new Pomeranian-in-the-purse for has-been celebrities and never-have-beens alike, anyone desperate to be, or remain, in the public eye. The latest example of this is actor Elliot Page, who recently used a Gender Liberation Front protest in front of NYU Langone Health in New York to condemn, in apocalyptic tones, resources being made available for members of the LGBT community who regret their medical gender transitions. This is particularly scummy because people in this situation, unlike the transition-for-applause crowd, currently have no resources and are vilified as traitors by the same people who, either directly or through their advocacy, pressured them into transitioning in the first place.

Here’s Page, looking and sounding as if every word he says causes him physical pain (a common side-effect in female to male transitions), explaining why helping gender-confused youth isn’t actually what we should be doing in ALL cases:

If you don’t have footage from this protest burned into your retinas forever, then you must not have watched all of it. It involved some, ahem, LARGE individuals lifting up their shirts, exposing their pendulous breasts (and I think those were the MEN), and sticking needles into their love handles. I think this footage should be required watching for anyone thinking of transitioning. I also think being as physically repulsive as possible is actually a deliberate tool of many leftist protestors, because there sure does seem to be a theme going on here.

Conservatives are constantly being accused of loving the fetus but not giving a damn about the child (just do a quick search to get a list of all the charities we fund to help struggling mothers), but trans youth are just one of many demographics libs pretend to care deeply about UNTIL they are no longer politically useful. When a trans person discovers that transitioning was the wrong treatment for them, their gender confusion doesn’t just go away and they don’t stop needing help. They need it more than ever.

But a detransitioner is about as politically useful to a liberal as an udder on a bull. How can they keep browbeating worried parents and young people into this super-lucrative transitioning pipeline if transitioners are being public about their regrets? And believe me, there is a pipeline.  It starts in school, where many of the teachers seem more concerned with their students being able to name all the categories and sub categories of their gender and sexual proclivities than teaching them anything that leads to success in life. It starts in the kids sections of public libraries and in schools, where kids as little as kindergarten age can check out a book on how much fun it is to transition, complete with the number to the Trevor Project hotline in the back. Mothers have reported calling the TP while pretending to be minors and being pressured by the staff to transition while keeping it a secret from their parents.

To hear these liberals talk, you’d think Ken Paxton (along with that evil emperor Donald Trump) just sentenced every trans person to death, rather than providing them with the medical care they desperately need when they discover that the decisions they were pressured into making, often when they were too young to legally consent, weren’t the right ones for them.
