RFK Jr. And The 75 Plus Nobel Laureates

According to the New York Times and the Progressive group Call To Activism are reporting that more than 75 Nobel Laureates are urging the Senate not to confirm Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in the Trump 2.0 Administration. RFK, Jr. is one of the most well-known and troublesome appointments that Donald Trump has made. The man has a full cargo hold full of baggage. Shouldn’t the President have his pick? Is RFK, Jr. the right person to ask questions and reform the Department?

Remember that the New York Times used to be respected world wide. When you see a headline like: “Nobel Laureates Urge Senate to Turn Down Kennedy’s Nomination”, you still have a mild curiosity. From the article:

More than 75 Nobel Prize winners have signed a letter urging senators not to confirm Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President-elect Donald J. Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.

The letter, obtained by The New York Times, marks the first time in recent memory that Nobel laureates have banded together against a Cabinet choice, according to Richard Roberts, winner of the 1993 Nobel in Physiology or Medicine, who helped draft the letter. The group tries to stay out of politics whenever possible, he said.

But the confirmation of Mr. Kennedy, a staunch critic of mainstream medicine who has been hostile to the scientists and agencies he would oversee, is a threat that the Nobel laureates could not ignore, Dr. Roberts said.

“These political attacks on science are very damaging,” he said. “You have to stand up and protect it.”

That whole “attacks on science” mantra doesn’t have the same cachet since Dr. Anthony Fauci told us that he was the science. Then we got this from X:

Wow, more than 75. That beats the 51 Intelligence Officials who said that Hunter Biden’s laptop was a Russian Disinformation Operation. And, guess what? We no longer believe the elite officials who try to give us the old razzle dazzle with their bona fides. We don’t buy your shite because we think most of you are bought and paid for.

Dr. Richard Besser definitely thinks Robert F. Kennedy is dangerous in this interview with Kristen Welker of NBC:

That interview makes me ask more questions than it ever answers. Other than the MRNA vaccines, I am super pro-vaccine. Before we had these amazing miracles, people died. I also never want a “scientist” to talk to me about settled science. The science can always be refined. The people who have undermined the American public’s confidence in the science are the scientists who have pumped sunshine up our skirts like Fauci and Deborah Birx. Speaking of pumping sunshine, back to that NY Times article:

The laureates questioned whether Mr. Kennedy, who they said has “a lack of credentials” in medicine, science or administration, was fit to lead the department responsible for protecting public health and funding biomedical research.

“Placing Mr. Kennedy in charge of DHHS would put the public’s health in jeopardy and undermine America’s global leadership in the health sciences,” the letter warned.

One name for these guys: Xavier Becerra, the current HHS Secretary. His experience in medicine, science or administration was as the California Attorney General following Kamala Harris. These people all think we are a stupid as they are. More from the NY Times:

If confirmed, Mr. Kennedy’s opposition to well-established public health tools, like vaccines and the fluoridation of drinking water, would pose a risk to the country’s well-being, the letter said.

The laureates decried Mr. Kennedy’s promotion of conspiracy theories. Mr. Kennedy has falsely linked vaccines to autism, rejected established science showing that H.I.V. causes AIDS, and suggested, without evidence, that the coronavirus targeted and spared certain ethnic groups.

On the other hand, RFK Jr. is fruit loops with or without artificial coloring. Maybe it was the brain worm.

Every President deserves to have the Cabinet of his/her choosing. Trump included. Is RFK, Jr. a mistake? Maybe or maybe not. I personally love vaccines and fluoride. But I can see Kennedy’s point and why should anyone forbid questions about the science. That seems anti-science to me. It’s especially anti-science when scientists tell us that we cannot question the science. Thoughts?

If you can’t question it, it’s NOT Science..

Not sure how I feel about RFK yet. Agree on some things, disagree on others.. maybe that’s a good thing… For damn sure, the current system needs to be stirred up, as it gave us a troll like Fauci, living large on our dime, after working actively to destroy our nation.. It’d be hard to be worse than that.

Bullcarp. And the idea that that group of know-it-all, gasbag elites slapping each other on the back says they disagree with RFK, Jr, makes me want him to be confirmed even more. I don’t even trust the chemists and physicists anymore.

The “elites”, 100 or 51 intelligence “experts”, and now 75 Nobel laureates. So far in this century have a rather shifty record. Questioning them ,their conclusions is unacceptable. How about bugger off. I’m still waiting for the climate catastrophe to strike. This despite the date being changed repeatedly. The stench of bovine scatology is strong with all of these people and their hangers on.

I would rather hear from the guys at the end of the bar in a local gin mill than listen to elite scientists!

    • Scaramouche says:

That’s right, push back on climate change. Trump and RFK Jr. should call a symposium asking these Nobel laureates to weigh in – with their prediction for climate catastrophes. Get them on the record for this and for that. In other words, call their bluffs.

Drugs cost more here because they require double testing, unlike other countries. In the US, meds must be proven to help you plus not hurt you. Two trials.
Is it needed? Thalydomide, the British anti anxiety med which caused major birth defects comes to mind. Babies were born without limbs.

I have rather less respect for the Nobel Prizes now, than I had growing up – since they gave President-elect Obama a Nobel prize for being black. Trump arguably should or could have gotten that for his Abraham Peace Accords, ground breaking peacemaking no one else came close to achieving.

Obama appeared to have got one in the expectation that he would deserve it for doing something later. Can you name any later diplomatic feat where he earned it later?

  • Bill G says:

I’m with you on most vaccines. Fluoridation has some serious questions being raised, as to whether the small gains it does for growing bodies as opposed to the problems it causes.
The expertise of their experts? Pfui! And these are the same ones who slandered the actual expertise of the people behind the Great Barrington Declaration. Which largely nailed it, regarding COVID.

  • jbspry says:

The NYT seems to have forgotten that they threw the Nobel Prize onto the bonfire of the Inanities during the no-holds-barred globalist attempt to destroy Trump and establish “our democracy” of one-party rule.
    Nobody respects the Nobel anymore.

Re any organized effort among the credentialed elite to influence public opinion… I’m a contrarian.
