President Obama and National Security Address: Terror Doesn’t Happen in His State of Denial

President Obama patted himself on the back yesterday as he addressed national security for his last time as POTUS.

“No foreign terrorist organization has successfully planned and executed an attack on our homeland. And it’s not because they didn’t try. Plots have been disrupted. Terrorists have been taken off the battlefield. And we’ve done this even as we’ve drawn down nearly 180,000 troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.”-Barack Obama

Because, after all, faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, SuperPres Barack Obama destroyed Osama Bin Laden. He did a little dance, made a little selfie and peace along with rainbow-colored unicorns and flowers filled the land, right?

President Obama has been living in the State of Denial…and I’m not talking the river in Egypt. No attacks on our homeland? I guess San Bernardino, Chattanooga, Little Rock, Fort Hood, Boston and Orlando are not part of our country any longer? Are public education outlets revising this geography according to the gospel of Barack (as if Common Core crap isn’t bad enough)? Have we missed something here?

Perhaps these cities don’t exist in Obama’s world (which consists of nothing but golf courses for miles and miles).

Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik were just “disgruntled workers”. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev were “misunderstood” immigrants. Heck, Dzhokhar became a Rolling Stone cover boy who was “failed by his parents” and resorted to becoming a “monster”. (On a side note, I remember seeing that cover lying around at a friend’s house and told her nicely to get that thing out of my face.) Omar Mateen was just a guy who got a little too trigger-happy who just, by happenstance, walked into an LGBT nightclub and got “upset” that gay men were kissing. These were not terrorist attacks on our soil according to BHO…no.

Let’s think about this and break things down to the most fundamental level, shall we? Gunshots and bombs went off. It was terrifying. He calls these “smaller” attacks “crimes”. Crimes that produced terror. The masterminds behind these acts set out to terrify and kill people. They succeeded. All of these cities are in The United States, last time I checked, anyway.

Barack Obama is so egotistical and narcissistic that he is wrapped up around the axle…obsessed even…with making sure that all the people of the world know that he is leaving a legacy. An exemplary record of eight years in office such as his cannot possibly be tarnished by a word such as “terrorism”! And yet he stands before us and attempts to insult our intelligence once again with his “scholarly” (AHEM-condescending) tone, singing his own praises and grasping at straws to hold onto this “legacy” idea of his whilst throwing out a lie and yes, an insult. Just ask any family member or close friend of any of these victims.

Hopefully I am wrong but it seems to me that President Obama’s biggest failure will be his refusal to close our borders. Our porous border has possibly allowed sleeper cells of terrorists to infiltrate our country who will commit acts of terror similar to what we have seen in France, Belgium and other cities throughout the world. I pray I’m wrong.

When he talks about “legacy” I always think of Flounder in Animal House—he was a legacy too!

That’s not what he said. Remember that he’s a progressive, so you have to parse his words carefully:

No foreign terrorist organization has successfully planned and executed an attack on our homeland.

See? As long as they’re “lone wolves” or “homegrown”, merely inspired by IS or AQ or islam, then his statement is correct!

Denial is a great place to live, btw. There’s never a downside!

Ahhhh….it was lost on little ol’ me, GWB! (Not really, but…as usual, great point raised!) This is why he enlists psychologists to help craft his speeches. “It’s not really incorrect if I say it THIS way…..”

Nah, Barack. It was terrorism. Domestic terrorism. You can dress it up and call it “lone wolf” or “homegrown” but it is what it is. And sadly, it is the wave of the future of these attacks. Chipping away slowly at resolve and confidence to go into public, every day spaces and live life as an American.
