But can you see the outstretched claw coming for your wives and children, your neighborhood, your job? Of course, you can. Everyone can.
The 1919 Lucian Bernhard poster above exhorted Germans to face invading Bolshies on the Eastern border with Russia—stoking a fear that never materialized. Another taloned claw came for 20th Century Germans, not from the Soviets. But from a homegrown mob of marching saluting, chanting thralls that cowed the rest of Germany into submission. Led by a corporal. They were called National Socialists.
The same hand is in fact reaching out to rip the guts out of the civilized world. It’s coming through your TV screens, coming at you every time you sit down in a restaurant. Coming for you whether you support BLM or don’t. From every dark doorway it’s coming to grab you by the throat.
The chaos and provocations may pause with at the advent of winter or an election or realignment of the judiciary and congress—but not for long. Once again this week, black clad thugs in DC demand Sig Heil from diners as Police stand downon orders from local control. Ask yourself, what’s going to stop these black shirts from barging into homes?
Nothing.
For decades a rough beast has been nurtured, like a serpent’s egg in every college, in 90% of the media, in Hollywood, and big corporate boardrooms—now hatched—the beast behind the outstretched hand has been fed and coddled, grown claws into every aspect of our lives, up to and including the point where average people are afraid even to speak their minds.
The forced constant outrage directed at all of us has been manufactured out of pretext and need. The pretext that we’re all racists, except the Chinese. And the need to destroy the inherited comfort and wealth bequeathed to our country by the grueling work and sacrifice of others who came before. This vast comfort and wealth has made a significant portion of America soft and limp-wristed, easily betrayed by legions of elites. Leaving the big middle underpaid, unprepared, and abandoned by the future.
Months ago a future low income housing project in Minneapolis was burned to the ground in the name of social justice. This summer decades Law Enforcement talent was cannibalized by firing or retirements, much of it black and much needed police forces defunded or disbanded.
Reason? The forgotten Floyd.
What’s the score so far? 2 or 3 Rioters killed in bouts of wilding. About 30 casualties, victims both innocent and guilty. So many blacks in Chicago every weekend no one keeps count.
How about the 205 Cops died so far this year? The Officer Down Memorial Page has it—mostly covid-19 deaths—and then the assassinations. Yet authorities still haven’t found the thug in Compton who tried to execute officers of LAPD, even though they have a video. Maybe they’ll get him this weekend.
So until the beast’s hand is torn out by its roots and the beast himself chopped into a thousand pieces and burned in its own entrails, until its symbols and black clad “heroics” are vilified on every urban street corner as the Nazi Stormtroopers they truly are, until its murals are painted over and the buildings behind them flourish with families and businesses, society as we know it will suffer and possibly die. Abandoning Critical Race Theory is a good start. But that’s all it is.
A mere handful of Nazis made Germany “Sig Heil!” and goose-step to their tune. While in our day a handful of BLM and Antifa have made America kneel.
Way too many people on the right seem to feel they need a reasoned opinion to oppose them. They don’t need more reason— what they need is more visceral, gut repellence. Yet they dare not show it, for fear of being branded deplorable and outcast, and so they write long think pieces on the tragedy of lives ruined, businesses robbed, and whole neighborhoods destroyed. And we suffer an endless parade of chroniclers bleating for better policing, harsher measures for rioters, fair DAs, sensible this and sensible that when all that needs be expressed is total revulsion.
A gut wrenching spew.
You can feel it coming. A massive electoral hurl right in the face of the bi-coastal elites. But then what? What comes next?
More of the same, alas. Count on it.

In Germany in the 1930s AH and the NSDAP had the support of the wealthy industrialists who believed they could manage the uncouth little corporal and his brown-shirted thugs in the Sturmabteilungen, but they could not – and Germany and the World paid a huge price for their avarice and conceit. I doubt whether the woke fools and fellow-travelers of today have any understanding that there is a chance that history will repeat itself in the US and they will will pay a great price for their groveling stupidity as they have cried havoc and let slip the [black-shirted] dogs of war.
