Natalie Maines: A Whole Lotta Fugly

Natalie Maines: A Whole Lotta Fugly

Natalie Maines: A Whole Lotta Fugly

Menopause and liberalism has not been at all kind to Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks. Wait, excuse me, The Chicks because “Dixie” is so American South and raaaaaaacist and “Chicks” is not at all a derogatory term.

Maines has been mostly silent for a few years until recently, where, in a desperate cry for attention, Ms. Maines called out Trump on her Instagram page:

Our democracy is disappearing right before our eyes. This fugly slut is using your gas money to pay the insurrectionists. But don’t worry about it. I’m sure posting selfies will fix everything. My last post that called him a fugly slut got removed. We’ll see how long this one lasts. Repost and help the message live. Named 1M times in the #epsteinfiles #democracy #freespeech #fuglyslut

This is the same Natalie Maines that ruined her career 20 years ago when she mad comments about Bush and the war in Iraq. Twenty three years has not made this Chick older or wiser. Natalie, this is not a Democracy, this is a Republic you are living in.
And Democracy is disappearing right before our very eyes? Really? Poof. Just like a plate of Twinkies at your table, honey? The White House clapped back:

Natalie Maines is a despicable nobody who clearly suffers from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted her peanut-sized brain”-an unnamed White House spokesperson

And how, exactly, are we losing our Democracy, Natalie? Explain. Elaborate on how our gas money is “going to the insurrectionists”. Our tax money went to lots of useless programs and paychecks went to a bunch of useless people over the years. No commentary whatsoever from Maines during the Obama years, though, when a big, fat paycheck went to Iran. She was largely silent when Biden was in office, too, when that senile old fool pulled troops out of Afghanistan and put power back in the hands of oppressors.

It may have also been a different story if Maines provided some thought-provoking commentary on her Instagram to support her opinion. Fugly slut isn’t it. The irony? Accusing a person of childish name-calling as you do the very same thing. Again, completely lost on Maines’ liberal-laden logic.

In truth, it’s been an ever-so- blatant and slow trip down into the abyss into hell for Natalie. This from the Kelly Clarkson show about three years ago:

I mean, an appearance on Kelly Clarkson’s show or Drew Barrymore’s show may also indicate that you’ve gone to hell but divorce buddies is something to be celebrated? Yay, you “empowered” women, you. And language. Such intentionality here in the language of song. Or Instagram posts, apparently. The more specific you are, the more it’s universal to other people or something. I guess fugly slut is specific and universal, right? FUTK-Freedom United Together In Kindness or F.U. Toby Keith</em>? Specific and universal.

Seems as though Toby Keith’s specific and universal words and lyrics have been more successful than any coming out of Maines’ big (and now even bigger) mouth. Even in his death, Toby Keith has more talent and success than Natalie could ever muster in her pinky finger. Hey, Toby, if you’re listening up there, you’re gonna need a bigger boot for that a$$.

I try to stay away from attacking a person’s appearance, I really, truly do. And, I know firsthand (and this might be TMI) that perimenopause and menopause is not a kind or welcome visitor when knocking at our doors. At 54, I’ve been there, lived it, gained the weight and lost it by healthy eating and forcing myself to be active. I’m still living through mood surges and hot flashes. To be fair, Natalie Maines did not start out as a despicable, no-talent nobody but when one starts the useless name-calling, she cannot expect excess courtesy back from The White House no less, at her. To be fair, She was part of a very successful trio. She can sing and play instruments. She HAS talent. I remember when radio stations pulled the Dixie Chickens off the air. I was a newlywed. My husband was in Iraq. Maines has admitted that being canceled in 2003 was “tough” and “pushed her into therapy“.

The therapy that, it’s only a guess, she did not continue?

Those old days are gone. And civility goes out the window when you claim “fugly sl*t” is “intellectual discourse” or join in and call the name-caller a “Queen” for hurling meaningless insults. I don’t see Natalie Maines donating gas money to hard-working Americans or part of her grocery store budget to a food bank. All of this is just a selfish ploy for relevancy in her private pit of hell and yearning for days gone by. I don’t see her offering up solutions.

Until these people can offer up solutions and not vulgar insults and meaningless platitudes, it’s Goodbye, Earl (of Sandwich).

  • All of these people howling about “losing our democracy” – when it’s the purest form of democracy that killed their careers. People turned off the radio when a Chicks song came on, all by themselves, no orders from their “betters” in political offices. People stopped watching Colbert, all by themselves, no orders from their “betters” in political offices.

I honestly couldn’t recall who this was until I read the story. So last decade (or two).
    Semper fi.
