The parents of Rachel Dolezal, the head of the Spokane, Washington, chapter of the NAACP, have come forward to confront their daughter’s public lies. For years, Dolezal has been claiming that she is an African-American. She has said her father, Larry Dolezal, is her stepfather, and that her mother and “stepfather” beat her and her brothers with baboon whips that were “pretty similar to what was used during slavery.”

The only problem for Rachel Dolezal is that pesky thing called the TRUTH, and her parents brought it. They showed photos of her as a child, her birth certificate, and told journalists that Rachel never lived in the teepee she claimed to be born in, has never lived in Colorado. Her parents, Larry and Ruthanne, also said that when they moved to South Africa with Rachel’s four adopted black brothers to work with a faith based mission, Rachel never visited them.

On the application for her appointment to Spokane’s Office of Police Ombudsman Commission, Dolezal declared that she was white, African-American, Native American and two or more other races, so basically Dolezal wants to be a little bit of everything. She wants that white privilege sometimes, but she also wants to be one of the many victims of the eveeeeeel Europeans.

But why did no one find out that she really wasn’t a black woman? Why did no one know that she’s, in reality, just a plain, boring white woman? According to Spokane City spokesman Brian Coddington, Dolezal was appointed by the mayor himself, and they didn’t do extensive background checks because the community didn’t want them.

“The community wanted diversity and limited background checks,” Coddington said, explaining that the committee didn’t want to deter applicants who may have had a misstep or two in their past. “The low level background checks were intentional.”

I have to get a background check to go on a school field trip with my own kid, but someone applying to be in a leadership role doesn’t need to have a thorough background check all in the name of “diversity”?!

This crackpot is also the head of the local NAACP chapter, but according to past president James Wilburn an individual does not have to be a person of color to become the president of a local chapter.

“It is traditional to have a person of color in that position, but that hasn’t always been the case in Spokane,” Wilburn said, adding that a woman of European descent was elected president of the organization in the 1990’s.

He added that at least half – if not the majority – of members in the Spokane chapter are of European descent.

“And that is probably a result of the fact that only about 1.9 percent of the population in Spokane is African American,” Wilburn said.

I don’t think the problem is that she isn’t black – esp in an area where a majority of the members aren’t black. The problem is she LIED about being black. She has gone so far as to show photos of herself with a black man and claim that he is her father publically.

Gee, standing next to this man, Albert Wilkerson, she looks like a white woman with a tan to me.

Larry and Ruthanne Dolezal have said that their daughter’s artistic abilities have aided in her being able to transform her appearance into whatever she wants it to be.

“Rachel is very good at using her artistic skills to transform herself,” Ruthanne said in a recent telephone interview.

As for Rachel, well, she is doubling down on her story. She said that people could give her a blood test, claiming that she is, indeed, black.

“They can DNA test me if they want to,” she said. “I would caution you on all of this. This is ridiculous.”

She’s a real gem. On top of making false claims about her parentage, her race, and her past, Rachel Dolezal has also made claims of racially motivated hate mail, harassment, and she even claimed that someone hung a rope outside of her home to intimidate her. Police suspect that she planted the hate mail herself, and the other occurrences have all been explained.

Where does this special snowflake fall in our society you ask? Where else: She’s in academia. She teaches Africana Studies at Eastern Washington University. Of course she does.

Rachel Dolezal’s claims to be black have created a huge problem for the Left, who claim that trans-genders are truly just wired wrong and are the opposite gender. What makes Rachel Dolezal any different? If she FEELS she should have been born an African American woman, then doesn’t that make her one based on this trend in progressive thought? Is trans-racial the new trans-gender? Shouldn’t we accept her as she wants to be, instead of what she is? Why then, if Bruce Jenner is actually Caitlin Jenner, isn’t Rachel Dolezal actually a black woman?

How many people must have been complicit in this deception? Her hairdresser, for one, and the man who allowed himself to be presented as her father. At what point in her life did she “become” black? How long have her adopted siblings and her parents known that she was wearing blackface? And perhaps most intriguing of all: Did she do it just to get ahead? Or did she really decide that she “identified” more as a black woman than a white one?

I’m going with she’s an opportunistist, and she’s profiting from this fraud. And from being a member of a “victim class.”

BTW: I live 40 miles from this nitwit. What thoroughly ticks me off, aside from her massive fraud, is her attempt to paint Northern Idaho as racist with her (most likely) self-created threats. She can kiss my not-faux-bronzed @ss. Then, she should be fired from every position she holds, and forced to reimburse every entity she profited from.

  • I am African-American.

My skin is lily-white, and my ancestors came from Germany. But I lived and taught in Africa for a number of years, so I claim the coveted title of African-American.

In fact, I demand those who call themselves African-Americans – yet have never set foot in Africa – to stop immediately. As a delicate snowflake I consider this to be a micro-aggression of my safe-space!

Another courageous person who is transitioning, who deserves her picture on the cover of Vanity Fair.
