Milwaukee WI was a war zone last night. And it shouldn’t have been.
A standoff between police and an angry crowd turned violent Saturday night in the hours after a Milwaukee police officer shot and killed an armed suspect during a foot chase on the city’s north side.
Reread that paragraph carefully. Police were after an ARMED suspect. A felon running AWAY from the police, who has quite the record.
The deceased man was armed with a semi-automatic weapon stolen in a March burglary in Waukesha, per Milwaukee police.

Reality check folks. Unless he surrenders peacefully, its not going to end well. And it didn’t.
City police officials said two officers stopped two suspects in a car about 3:30 p.m. The suspects then took off on foot. During the pursuit, a six-year veteran of the department shot and killed a 23-year-old Milwaukee resident, who was carrying a semiautomatic handgun, police said.
What happened through the rest of the night in Milwaukee is heinous and shameful.

Nothing says justice like looting a beauty supply store and burning a gas station, auto store, and bank. #Milwaukee pic.twitter.com/ezXYDsnCEs

This is what those hate filled thugs and goons did. Their blatant disregard for the rule of law, their perverted idea of “justice”, and their willingness to ignore the immediate fact that the guy shot was a felon with a gun led to businesses looted and burned to the ground. Emergency personnel, fire fighters, and cops were unable to respond to some of the fires BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE SHOOTING AT THEM!!
Gas station at Sherman and Burleigh set on fire. MFD cannot extinguish fire as gunshots are being fired.

Yes I’m shouting.
Forget the facts, lets channel Ferguson and Baltimore and burn a city down because of the ARMED SUSPECT’S skin color. Thus leaving Milwaukee looking like this early this morning.

The mayor of Milwaukee was correct.
The mayor said police had “shown an amazing amount of restraint” Saturday evening.
But those rioting don’t and won’t ever care about that. Meanwhile this guy is totally stupid.
This is embarrassing. #Milwaukee pic.twitter.com/It1wkX7eTZ

I doubt he was the only one who wanted to play the rich against the poor victim card last night. What’s next? The whites against blacks card? Oh yeah, that was in full force last night. Hatred of cops? Check.
Commentary from Alderman Khalif Rainey definitely doesn’t help matters. According to him, Milwaukee is the worst place ever for African-Americans to live. Supposedly they are very oppressed and what happened last night is a warning cry.
“Now what has happened tonight may have not been right; I’m not justifying that. But no one can deny the fact that there’s problems, racial problems, here in Milwaukee, Wis., that have to be closely, not examined, but rectified. Rectify this immediately. Because if you don’t, this vision of downtown, all of that, you’re one day away. You’re one day away.”
‘…may not have been right?! Excuse me? What happened last night was wrong. Totally wrong.
To make matters worse, Rainey’s implied threat that if city officials and our law enforcement won’t acquiesce to your demands threats then more violence will happen and will be justified is absolutely morally wrong. You sir are part of the problem, NOT part of the solution. As a matter of fact…
According to the leftists in my mentions, I'm not supposed to look at who's been running the cities with these systemic problems. #Milwaukee

Yes, but lets not let facts get in the way of the violence filled narrative espoused by the Black Lives Matter movement.
We have reached the point of insanity when police shoot an armed suspect, we have no other facts yet, and riots ensue anyway.

He’s right. We’ve not only reached the point of insanity. We’ve reached the point where the violence and hate from a few is overtaking common sense, reasoning, and the the rule of law.
Its worth repeating again. The person shot by the Milwaukee police officer had a long record and was CARRYING A GUN. What happened to him is solely because of the choices HE made.
The rioters and adherents to the violent rhetoric and actions of the Black Lives Matter movement are causing and contributing to the chaos and lawlessness we are experiencing today. They should be vilified, not applauded.
Does anyone wonder why those Purge movies are popular?
The media is reporting it was a black Leo that shot the black suspect.
Sort of takes the whole racist cop thing away.
Not only the media, but now the police have reported the same. Unfortunately given events of last night, piddly little facts like that don’t matter one bit to the rioters.
Time to start shooting looters again.
Merle
I am old enough, 68, to remember the recent riots and rhetoric as deja vu. The difference this time around is the level of ignorant hatred has zero justification.
I have grown to intensely dislike negroes. They are on the same level as Muslims and feminism. They bring nothing to society.
The mayor said police had “shown an amazing amount of restraint” Saturday evening.
As a citizen, I want to know WHY IN THE HE11 they were showing ANY restraint? When the officers were attacked inside their vehicle they should have run over the assaulters. Period.
Actual consequences for insurrection would put a stop to most of it. (And, yes, it is insurrection.)
Rectify this immediately.
Rectify WHAT?! That your community has a problem with rampant criminality? That your community doesn’t want to abide by the rules of civilization like the rest of us?
The ironic part is that the people hurt are most likely to be the ones providing opportunity and harmony to and within your community. And now, they’ll leave you to your own stupidity.
If I were Milwaukee’s finest, I would simply refuse to police those neighborhoods. “I’m sorry, but you told us you don’t want us there; good luck.”
