Leave it to Michelle Obama to talk about things of sheer substance on MLK Day. Take the most recent exhibit of her utter tone-deafness: the art of mindful shopping.

And, how on God’s green earth did you come into the “money to buy everybody”, Michelle? Please explain. WHO funded your shopping trips for 8 years? WHO continues to fund your security-detailed shopping excursions?

Now, I will give Mrs. Obama a pat on the back for supporting lesser-known brands and “championing” these designers but the word “championing” is uttered loosely here. She’s still as vapid and race-baiting as they come.

When you say, ‘I’m going to shop at the black brand,’ you are necessarily saying that, at the margin — the last dress that fits in your closet — you are not going to shop at the white brand. You are choosing not to go into that shop, not because you dislike the dress, but because of the race of the person who owns it.

The observation of Michelle Obama’s utter tone-deaf remark on MLK day echoes deep into the chasms.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”-Dr. Martin Luther King

Judge NOT by the color of one’s skin but of their character. On the day that is supposed to honor a man who wanted to end racism, a former FIRST LADY OF THE UNITED STATES comes out with something so blatantly racist and disguises her racism as “mindful”. So, it’s okay to be racist as long as you’re “mindful” about your racism? How many (Asian) underage and underpaid laborers worked for her closet? I am sure Mrs. Obama owns at least one pair of Nikes. And, yes, this includes some of the fabulous finds Michelle sees on a “low-key-secret mission” at Le Target, made by the hands of some little kid in a sweatshop and marked up for retail consumption. And, shall we discuss her lash and her hair extensions? Where does Michelle think they came from?

GASP! Dare we say consumerism?! Isn’t that tied to Capitalism or something? Isn’t that filthy? Dirty? The Root of all Evils, even? Choosing where “her” money goes? Having the freedom of that choice? Sounds like the evils Socialists like herself and Barack pout about on the daily in their forever-on-vacation-thanks-to-the-American-taxpayer state.

Perhaps Michelle Obama will have a change of heart on the Chanel in her closet and the other ugly frocks that white, up-and-coming liberal fashion designers drooled over designing just for her, and will vow to fill her whole closet with black designers. She can venture out of her Kalorama mansion to the streets of D.C. to GIVE AWAY and clothe some of the poor, struggling masses with all of her outfits made by the whiteys of the fashion world. She could also further choose to clothe only people of color or illegal immigrants of color because white, American-born, poor people don’t deserve the light she carries. She still would, at least, be helping to champion some of The Least of These.

What say you, Michelle?

We’re not holding our breath here. ‘Til the next time we hear from this privileged, fashion-obsessed, prideful, vacuous, mind-numbingly racist, lecturing bore in overpriced couture.
