You know what? I’ve had it. I think the only grown ups left in this Republic are Americans. The politicians, the media, the President, and those who serve as apologists for either definitely aren’t in that category.
Since the day he announced his Presidential campaign, the insane amounts of media attention given to his every move vs any other candidate was unreal. Then, SUDDENLY!, he won the Republican nomination! The claws, the knives, and the juvenile behavior of the media and far too many others showed up in spades.
Donald Trump won. The media melted down… Language Alert.
The tantrums on all sides took on a new and highly unbecoming dimension. So much so, that any good aspects of what the Trump Administration in any capacity is doing is completely ignored in favor of screaming RUSSIA! SEXIST! RACIST! Trumpcare will KILL US! Trump is INSANE! NEEDS MENTAL HELP! Name your poison, the media and pundits run with it.
President Trump sure as hell doesn’t help matters with his Twitter rants. The latest of course is this one regarding Mika.
I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came..
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 29, 2017
…to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 29, 2017
In my opinion, President Trump WAS WRONG to tweet that. President Trump overstepped and there is no way in hell that what he did was remotely right or adult.
Then again, it ALSO isn’t right that Mika and Joe have been slamming President Trump right and left since the morning after the election.
They’ve continued to parrot narratives that have been proven false. They’ve continued to insinuate things that may or may not exist, and they’ve continued to be AS CHILDISH as the President. Case in point? This op-ed in the Washington Post:
President Trump launched personal attacks against us Thursday, but our concerns about his unmoored behavior go far beyond the personal. America’s leaders and allies are asking themselves yet again whether this man is fit to be president. We have our doubts, but we are both certain that the man is not mentally equipped to continue watching our show, “Morning Joe.”
The president’s unhealthy obsession with our show has been in the public record for months, and we are seldom surprised by his posting nasty tweets about us.
2nd case in point? Their commentary on this morning’s Morning Joe:
Did Mika and Joe ever stop to think that their OWN continued obsession with the President is contributing to the problem? Legal Insurrection has kept track, and the evidence says …NO.
The House passed #KatesLaw yesterday. The U.S. Supreme Court has made some excellent Constitutional decisions (Travel Ban anyone?) in the last week, Healthcare is on the table, energy is getting a boost, the U.N. can’t run roughshod over the U.S. as much as in the past, major regulatory policies that hinder growth have been rolled back. But is the media talking about ANY of that? No. Instead its Presidential Tweets.
NBC, ABC, and CBS devoted 9 minutes of airtime devoted to President Trump's Tweets, and less than three minutes combined on other stories. pic.twitter.com/viahtZfUPI

Rightly so, the President was taken to task by several, among them, Senator Ben Sasse.
Please just stop. This isn't normal and it's beneath the dignity of your office.
— Ben Sasse (@BenSasse) June 29, 2017
This response from Dinesh D’Souza was, in my opinion, wrong.
The problem @BenSasse is that if you were in @realDonaldTrump 's place the media would totally own you https://t.co/5HQszmHAHj

Then there’s this:
Since the media has its own agenda to destroy him, he has a right to stand up for himself
— Holly Dian Hedrich (@DianHedrich) June 30, 2017
Yes, the President DOES have the right to stand up for himself. HOWEVER, he does not need to act like a petulant ten year old in order to do so. In fact, by doing so he compounded the situation and made it worse. Two wrongs do NOT make a right. EVER.
I wonder what all the people "outraged" (fauxoutraged) about a tweet feel about how this @CNN producer talks about @KellyannePolls??? pic.twitter.com/5xZJ2mYGXU
— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) June 30, 2017
Yes, the Project Veritas shows that many in the media think all Americans are fools and knaves. Yes, they also think it’s totally fine to say nasty things about people (mostly conservatives) whom they don’t like. But no, Donald Trump Jr., that does NOT excuse what the anyone in the media OR your father have said or tweeted.
Iowahawk put it best:
I don't care who started it, don't make me come back therehttps://t.co/KaJ1i5Xjjj

Memo to the Media, President Trump and ANYONE who tries to excuse your behavior. If you are going to act like children, then Americans will treat you like children.
Now go sit in your corners and don’t come out until I say so!
Media: Poke. Poke. Pokey-poke. Poke. Pokey-poke-poke. Poke. Pokey-pokey. Poke. Poke. Poke-Pokety-Poke…
Trump: Stop it.
Media: YOU’VE CROSSED THE LINE!!!
I hear what you’re saying, Nina, but sometimes when you’re surrounded by wolves, you gotta howl.
