After a 10-hour standoff at the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville, Texas, questions remain unanswered. Mainly, who was the suspect and who is Lady Al Qaeda, Aafia Siddiqui? Some (ahem-the media) will say that detaining this “poor mother of three” was a “human rights violation”. This from 2010:

The Washington Post calls Lady Al Qaeda, Aaifa Siddiqui, an “enigmatic and extremely educated mother who apparently cast off a comfortable, successful professional life in pursuit of terrorism”. Living the dream. We’re a bit surprised WaPo uttered the word “terrorism”, though. Gasp. Are they profiling this poor, Pakistani woman?

Last fall, The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), stated that Lady Al Qaeda was serving “an unjust 86-year prison sentence for a crime that she did not commit”. Last night, CAIR condemned the act of the hostage captor, still unnamed, who demanded the release of the “wrongfully imprisoned” neuroscientist, Aadia Siddiqui. CAIR called the act “antisemitic” and “an unacceptable act of evil”. There, there. That should fix everything.

So, who is this “enigmatic and extremely educated mother of three” who has been dubbed “Lady Al Qaeda”?

Siddiqui, who earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a PhD in neuroscience from Brandeis University, was married with three children and living in the Boston area during the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. After 9/11, she left her husband and returned to Pakistan, fearing that if she stayed in the United States, her children would be forcibly taken from her and converted to Christianity, according to a psychological report prepared for her trial.”-The Washington Post

Because education is a human right…or something. You know who also got their 737 type ratings and college education in the United States? Some of the 9/11 hijackers. But that does not stop our journalists from beginning to weave the tale. Lady Al Qaeda is an educated mother of three who was so worried about her children being forcibly taken from her and converted to Christianity that she fled back to Pakistan right after 9/11? Ahh, yes, she fled to her mother country because of her children. Awww. She did it for the kids. Not a hateful, anti-American, anti-Semitic bone in Lady Al Qaeda’s body.

Extremely educated. Enigmatic, even, don’t you think? She even peppered in threats of dirty bombs in the above referenced letter. She sounds lovely.

What WaPo buries in the middle of their story is her “alleged” marriage to Ammar al-Baluchi, the nephew of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, 9/11 mastermind. Fast forward to 2008, Lady Siddiqui was detained by the Afghan National Police in Afghanistan, along with her 13-year-old son. She was accused of abandoning her children and became an Al-Qaeda operative.

But, but, but…she cared so much about her children that she had to flee oppressive, Islamaphobic America! So, the story goes…

According to this, Siddiqui held in her possession at the time of her arrest handwritten notes referring to a “mass casualty attack” that listed various locations in the U.S., including Plum Island, the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street and the Brooklyn Bridge. Lady Al Qaeda also allegedly had in her possession a thumb drive that contained correspondence referring to “cells” and attacks by certain cells. And extra bonus? She was also alleged to have had two pounds of sodium cyanide in her possession.

The Biden Administration condemned this act of anti-Semitism in a token statement before ol’ Joe’s pudding cup, diaper change and bedtime routine on the east coast. Meanwhile, the administration and the media will be hard-at-work spinning the narrative of a highly-intelligent woman who was “radicalized to the point of mental disorder” by the extreme post-9/11 Islamaphobia. Mark my words. CAIR may hold off on holding more rallies for her freedom but make no mistake-the “enigmatic” Lady Al Qaeda, Aafia Siddiqui, is behind bars for a reason. And she needs to stay there.
