Remember the old television ad showing an egg being cracked and fried, with the announcer solemnly intoning, “This is your brain. This is your brain on drugs”?
Joy Behar’s brain is fried on radical feminism. On today’s daily televised dose of The Stupid, AKA The View, the program’s resident loudmouth declared that it didn’t matter to her if Bill Clinton raped the women he has been accused of assaulting. If a candidate is liberal, she’s supporting them. And that would go for the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, who allowed a young campaign staffer to drown in 1969 in that infamous Chappaquiddick incident. (Video available at this link.)
Chappaquiddick. I mean, a girl drowns and he abandons her and she drowned and women still voted for Teddy Kennedy. Why? Because he voted for women’s rights. That’s why. That’s the bottom line of it in my opinion. I mean, I don’t like either one of them, to tell you the truth, Teddy or Bill. They’re both dogs as far as I’m concerned. But I still will vote for Bill Clinton because he votes in my favor.
Agreeing with her was that expert on sexual assault, Whoopi Goldberg, who claimed that Clinton had “not perpetrated violence against women,” adding that these were just “accusations.”
Whoopi must be an expert on sexual assault, because in 2009 on that same mindless show which passes for promotion of women’s issues, she defended Hollywood director Roman Polanski — who drugged and raped a thirteen-year-old girl — as not having actually committed “rape-rape.” If anyone can find a statute that legally defines “rape-rape” I’d like to see it.
And of course the mind-numbed clapping seals in the audience applauded Behar’s and Goldberg’s comments.
As a woman, I’m completely insulted by these two, and by anyone who thinks that my world view is derived from my biology.
I don’t cast a vote for some Democratic sugar daddy who has promised free contraceptives. I’m not desperate to support the baby hacks at Planned Parenthood. I absolutely do not find the so-called “right” to slaughter one’s unborn child a deal-breaker that determines whom I will support. And I sure as hell do not believe the idiocy passed among feminist circles that “the GOP wants to take away your birth control.” Really? Show me the legislator who has proposed that.
I support the candidate who stands by the freedom promised to me in the Constitution allowing me to be the best citizen I know to be. That means the freedom to have the job I want, to worship the God in Whom I believe, to voice my political beliefs without being balkanized into liberal women’s groupthink, and yes — to be a gun owning American.
That the Demonic Duo of Whoopie Cushionberg and the Joyless Brayer can so smugly and callously (and proudly, I might add) crow about coming to such a deep, nuanced and profound voting decision baffles and boggles the mind to infinity and beyond.
