John Kerry, who believes himself to be THE climate change guru, doesn’t like getting asked pesky questions about his carbon footprint. He’d much rather be asked about how dire things will get if we don’t wholeheartedly embrace wind and solar.
At Davos, Kerry confirmed weekend reports that he will step back from his position as climate envoy to work on Biden’s reelection campaign, citing the Hatch Act, which bars federal employees from engaging in campaigning.
Kerry also addressed the fact that despite Biden’s ambitious goals for greenhouse gas emission reductions, the U.S. has reached an all-time high for oil production under his administration.
“It’s a policy necessity — you obviously can’t shut down the economies of the world — you have to try to keep the economy stable and keep the price low enough that you don’t have revolutions in countries all around the world because gas prices are $10,” Kerry said. “But that has to be accompanied by a very clear set of policies that are moving in the direction of this transition away from fossil fuels.”
I’m over here in the frozen Rocky Mountain region laughing about Kerry’s reluctant admission that oil production is still necessary. You know why? Because it is oil and gas that have kept the lights on across the country this week while we are in a deep freeze. Wind doesn’t blow when it gets cold. And when the temps hit a high of -15 for the day, the wind REALLY doesn’t blow. Solar power when there’s full on cloud cover for days? Not happening. In fact, Alberta Canada was under a grid alert and rolling blackouts for nearly a week.
The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) posted a “grid alert,” warning the population to conserve its electrical power. If not, the grid was in danger of blackouts. That alert was declared at 4:15 p.m., and released on X.

According to the AESO, At 4:54, Alberta’s solar was producing zero megawatts out of an installed capacity of 1,650 megawatts. But wind had fallen to six megawatts out of 4,481 megawatts. That works out to 1 one-thousandth of capacity, or 0.1 per cent.
Only three of Alberta’s 45 wind farms were producing any power whatsoever, with two producing one megawatt and one producing four megawatts. And since the sun had gone down, the 43 solar farms were producing zero power, as well. That means out of 88 solar and wind faculties, only three were producing power. And those three were producing six megawatts out of an installed capacity of 6,131 megawatts of wind and solar.
Provided another polar vortex doesn’t blanket North America again, Alberta should be able to get all their systems back online..sort of.
Yet John Kerry thinks questions about his carbon footprint are stupid.

How dare you question the Prince! Evidently asking about his carbon footprint is not only a stupid question, it’s a made-up question. In other words, rules for thee, not for me.
But Kerry has received criticism for his carbon footprint, including his past use of a private jet owned by his family. According to flight tracking data obtained by Fox News Digital in July 2022, a Gulfstream GIV-SP jet owned by Kerry’s family made a total of 48 trips that lasted more than 60 hours and emitted an estimated 715,886 pounds, or 325 metric tons, of carbon over the course of the Biden administration’s first 18 months.
After that report, the family sold that particular jet and John Kerry was forced to fly commercial while jetting around the world to WEF (World Economic Forum) and other climate change conferences. It’s a safe bet that Kerry doesn’t fly economy. Nope, it’s business or First Class all the way for Lurch!
This is the guy who is pushing the climate agenda no matter the negative impacts it has upon the economy, businesses, or individuals. Planning for whale-killing ocean wind farms has come to a screeching halt because they are economically unsustainable, while other wind or solar projects might come online after a decade or more of planning. Ford has drastically cut production on their electric trucks because no one will buy them. As for the electric vehicles that folks currently own? They turned into frozen bricks this week.
Believe me, Chicago wasn’t the only place feeling the frozen EV pain.
But let’s not ask the climate change prince about his carbon footprint. Peasants must not ask, we should only obey.
Except, while Kerry runs away from questions in Davos about his carbon footprint, what kept the lights and heat on during this nationwide freeze?
Winter has arrived and the folks at https://t.co/6VySTk9nLh are diligent in pointing out who and what is responsible for keeping the lights on all across the country….https://t.co/6HREQipMd9 via @nukebarbarian

If you guessed natural gas, nuclear, and coal (which John Kerry abhors), you win the power lottery! But, whatever you do, do NOT ask John Kerry stupid questions about his carbon footprint while he is wining and dining his way through Davos this week.

Shorter John Kerry: “Bloody peasant.”
Kerry is a phoney, a liar, a cheat and no doubt a thief as well. His intentions are not to save the planet from a threat, it is to impliment a form of government diametrically opposed to our current one. He has inserted himself into far too many positions to convince me he is a crusader.
Agree: Kerry is for Kerry! And, no one should question is actions!
John Kerry has been a traitorous piece of crap since I first heard of him in 1971. Even 19 year old midshipmen were able to identify him as a traitor then–and he certainly hasn’t gotten any better since. I’m thankful every day Kerry, Clinton, and Gore never managed to hoodwink enough Americans (unlike the other Clinton, Obama, and Biden) to get elected President. What a horrible excuse for a man.
I agree Nina, my well has been frozen since Sat night. This globull warming is hell!
Where do I buy me a huntin’ license around here?
