The media wing of the Democrat National Committee (aka the lamestream media) are doing everything they can to breathe life into Joe Biden’s brain dead 2020 Presidential Election campaign. This includes praising his Coronavirus Plan and encouraging the former Vice-President to form a shadow government.
First, I want to discuss Joe Biden’s Coronavirus plan, which you can read here. Joe claims his experience in the Obama Administration dealing with the Ebola crisis has given him the tools to lead us through Covid-19. Biden was not the point man on the Ebola crisis, as the Wall Street Journal pointed out. The bigger point is that the Ebola Virus was discovered in 1976. Outbreaks are deadly but the disease is not new.
The Coronavirus Covid-19 is a novel virus. That means it’s brand new. It’s never been seen before. Scientists, researchers and pharmaceutical companies don’t know what they don’t know about the virus.
Joe Biden’s plan calls for massive testing. Ah, testing, there is the rub. The latest statistics that I could find shows that only 3.1 million Covid-19 tests have been administered in the United States. That is well short of one percent of the population. But, the test are all new because the virus is new and the tests are not entirely accurate. The United Kingdom bought 20 million dollars worth of test kits from China that did not work. Testing will become more available as tests become perfected. Having a test that may give a false positive or false negative would prove devastatingly fatal.
Part of the reason that most American citizens have, until now, been patient with our voluntary home incarceration, and all the other indignities foist upon us, is that we understand this is a novel Coronavirus. Joe Biden is trying to make political hay of this with his comrades on CNN and MSNBC. I pray that it doesn’t work.
While researching the latest from Biden World, I came across this video of Biden on the Showtime show Desus & Mero. It is fascinating. Watch at least a few minutes for the flavor:
You can call President Trump many things. “Inattentive” is not one of them. Joe Biden’s memory of the incident in Charlottesville includes white supremacists coming across “the fields” with torches and Nazi flags. He also recites the lie that Trump said both sides had good people. Desus & Mero nod their heads like bobble head dolls.
On CNN with Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Joe Biden claimed that Trump doesn’t have a plan, so much as he punted:

Donald Trump laid out a basic framework to be executed at the lowest possible levels of Government. As I pointed out to someone this morning, I live in Knox County, Tennessee. My mayor is Glenn Jacobs, aka Kane of WWE. Three days ago, Mayor Jacobs released his plan for a phased reopening of Knox County. Knox County has only had 174 cases of Covid-19. The plan for Davidson County, in Middle Tennessee where Nashville is located would have a far different plan with 1239 cases. That is not punting. That is being smart about opening the country back up. Common sense is not widely granted to the elitists like Cooper, Gupta and Biden.
And, it was disconcerting to watch Joe always looking down at his notes. When he started talking about what FDR did during WWII and delayed while he read his notes, I was sure he was going to say “Interred the Japanese. Many of the liberal remedies for Covid-19 make me think of the Internment, like pink wristbands and certificates of health.
Finally, MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle suggested that Joe Biden should form a shadow government. Besides being a really ugly, bad idea, what would Joe Biden’s shadow government look like? Obama acolytes? Bernie Bros? Or how about AOC and Elizabeth Warren? Here is what Ruhle suggested according to the Washington Examiner:
“Should Joe Biden be counter-programming that?” the MSNBC host continued. “Should he be creating his own shadow government, shadow Cabinet, shadow SWAT team — and getting up there at a podium every night, saying, ‘Here’s the crisis we’re in, here’s what we need to do to address this’?”
Holy Gestapo, Batman. Joe Biden’s own words are bad enough, Stephanie. Please don’t make it any worse.
The problem for Democrats is that Trump is handling this well. Trump has the top people in government and private industry efforting the Coronavirus’s many issues. Joe Biden has got nothing.
And, just so you know, my Mayor can kick your Mayor’s butt.

SFC D says: I’m no constitutional scholar, but I’m pretty sure that anything like a “shadow government” might fall under the classifications of treason, sedition, espionage, and half a shitload of other laws.

NOW, if it tried to, say, tell the DC police who to arrest or something, THEN it would be seditious.

Yeah, that would NOT be following the law… Anyone that has been doubting that what these leftist really want is fascist / communist control over all of us, this statement should make it clear that is exactly what they want.

Not really “well short”. It’s about 0.94%. It’s also statistically significant.

No. Having a test with a “high” rate of false negatives (not infected) could be fatal. A test that gives a high rate of false positives would simply give us an artificially low death vs infected rate. That could badly inform policy, mostly in terms of over-confidence. Even the false negatives are only a real problem if the high infection rates of our current models are correct.
ALL tests give some number of false positives and false negatives. Especially so in the biological sciences. The key is not having it so high it invalidates your hypotheses or lets too many people slip through the cracks.

I’m not sure how much of Biden is political malice and how much is that Corn Pop was blocking the TV when FDR was giving his Fireside Chats, so he didn’t really catch it all.

So that’s where Kane ended up.
Well, I hope you have better luck with him than Minnesota had with that other wrestling “superstar.”
James Raclawski says: forming a “shadow government” is a fundamental element of an insugency. .. designed to separate the citizens from its lawfully elected government and insert the treachery of a FALSE authority that issues counter orders that destroy good order and safety in the target society… then claim how “ineffective” the legitimate government is in protecting its populace… with our large number of “low density info consumer” this would be disruptive beyond belief…
how big a stretch of the imagination would it be to also claim the corruption of the “election” process denies the ” one vote-one person” concept… you live in this country-your vote must count….. voila….. now you get “shadow elections…” representatives … shadow laws… country within a country.. end of reality—end of the “united” states. ….
but that couldn’t happen here… we’re too sophisticated & thinkers of big thoughts…. and schooled in our government or how other free countries have disconnected from their government and succumbed to disruption-subversion and subjugation…. gosh-you wouldn’t see your elected state&city leaders rule by “royal edicts” would you? you wouldn’t see your GOD GIVEN rights-enumerated within centuries of civil&Constitutional laws and “papers” that “guaranteed” rights&liberties — all but ground into the dust (in the span of a few weeks…) would you???
wake up sheeple…. we’re being herded toward a “corral”…. for our own “health&SAFETY” …..
