I happened to stumble across Jill Biden’s Christmas video on Twitter/X last night, and truly thought it was a parody at first. But nooooo…it’s very real.
Just two weeks ago, the official White House Christmas video was released.
I’ll admit, some of the decor is beautiful. The Gold Star tree is lovely, the Santa with reindeer flying overhead is a nice touch, and the WH tree in The Blue Room is quite lovely. However, much of the decor looked more Willy Wonka and CandyLand than Christmas in my opinion.
Two weeks ago, the theme and decorations were unveiled.
The White House unveiled its 2023 Christmas decorations, themed “Magic, Wonder, and Joy.”
Chosen by Jill Biden, the theme is inspired by how children experience the holiday season.
The decorations feature tributes to bedtime stories and sweets as well as White House history.
First lady Jill Biden unveiled the 2023 White House Christmas decorations on Monday, centered around the theme “Magic, Wonder, and Joy.”
“The 2023 White House holiday theme is inspired by how children experience this festive season: completely present in the beauty and bounty around them, their senses alight, with hearts open to the magic, wonder, and joy of the holidays,” the president and first lady wrote in a welcome letter in the 2023 White House Holiday Guide. “In this season of reflection and goodwill, we hope you will embrace your inner child and delight in simply being present with those you love.”
I do happen to agree that one of the very special aspects of Christmas is viewing the wonder and joy of the season through a child’s eyes.
Yet, quite a bit of the decor, as I mention above has a weird retro vibe to it. And with the release of last night’s video, the decor went from weird to bizarre with a side of Hunger Games included. This is how one media outlet described it:
The video opens with flamboyant dancers dressed up in bright costumes performing tappers of Dorrance in Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s classic The Nutcracker. The camera pans through all the performers, looking unique and smart. The emotion of Christmas is captured to its fullest. A giant Christmas tree is also there.
“Unique and smart.” Let’s take a look shall we?

Folks, I’ve watched this several times in morbid fascination, and I still fail to see how this is an ode to The Nutcracker. This is like Bad Santa on steroids or something.
The Biden’s themselves aren’t having a good month with Hunter engaging in an “I’m the victim!” whine fest yesterday, Biden himself bumbling around and making up more stories, and the National Christmas Tree falling over during a major wind storm.
On the afternoon of Nov. 28, the National Christmas Tree fell over. The National Park Service has confirmed strong winds caused the accident. The incident sent ripples throughout the White House, marking a symbolic moment that reflected the sentiments of a divided nation amid the festive season.
We’ve documented thoroughly our issues with the Biden Administration. From foreign policy to climate change, the nonexistent borders, tax and spend, the Biden Brand corruption, and much more.
So, one would think that Jill Biden would read the room and put together a Christmas theme that addresses the magic and wonder of Christmas through a child’s eyes, yet without the tacky childish Hunger Games component to it. But, I guess that was too much to ask.
To be sure, everyone is a critic, and Melania Trump was slammed for her Christmas decor and themes six ways to Sunday. This was 2017.

You can check out some of Melania’s previous themes here and here.
Yet when one compares the two, I have to say Melania’s themes were significantly classier and didn’t pander as this year’s theme does.
The chestnuts are not getting roasted but Jill Biden is for her Hunger Games Capital District Christmas approach this year. Brutal comments. https://t.co/1hFoUv3U10

How bad is Jill’s choice for this pandering “interpretive dance?” Forget pandering, there’s a major leftist political component to her choice. Check out what Dorrance Dance Troupe stands for.
Dorrance Dance, the New York City based tap dance company that performed the atrocious version of The Nutcracker Suite in the White House, has a full page on their site dedicated to teaching white people to “check their privilege”. They also state to “be mindful of who/what is… pic.twitter.com/eH6wZH6QcG

Yep, it’s real. Dorrance Dance absolutely links to BLM and other organizations while lecturing white people on checking their privilege.
Christmas should be apolitical, and I firmly believe that Melania’s themes walked that very well. Jill’s however, especially with this bizarre DEI Hunger Games video, not only panders but is blatantly political.

No privilege but I am superior to you. Thank you for asking.
Silly me, I always thought Christmas was about the birth of Jesus Christ. Not a single inkling of Christianity is shown in this video, only flaming gay men and cross-dressers wearing tutus and dresses leaping about. I started to gag after only ten seconds.
I’ve said it before elsewhere, I really just think Jill Biden likes to see men wearing tutus, dresses, and heels.
The German autocrats of the Second and Third Reichs (possibly the First Reich, also, but there is no documentation) much enjoyed doing this, too.
They at least had the decency to restrict the behavior to private parties, though.
Willy Wonka meets the Nicholas Brothers
Or maybe Liberace.
I hope Jill paid for that and not the taxpayer.
Nothing says Jesus Is The Reason For The Season like some guy with a big purple flower on his head.
