Merry Christmas Anyway In The Biden Era

Merry Christmas, dear Victory Girls’ readers. In the era of Creepy Joe Biden and Saint Anthony Fauci, it can be confusing and difficult to find the joy. Some of us, points to self, have been having trouble remembering the reason for the season. It is that we are celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. But, some of us, points to self again, have been feeling very “Bah Humbug!”

Since childhood, I have enjoyed the NORAD Santa Tracker. One of the first things I do on Christmas Eve morn is check the Santa Tracker. This morning, Santa was in New Zealand. My next check showed Santa Claus in Russia. Finally, late this afternoon, he was in Spain headed to Tunisia with nearly four billion presents delivered. A friend alerted me that Santa was masked. Masked? I enlarged my screenshot and, sure enough, Santa was wearing a mask as in the featured image above. Santa is outside, alone, and, according to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), traveling at “650 miles per second, 3,000 times the speed of sound.” Why in the name of the Sugar Plum Fairy does Santa bloody freaking need a mask. Liberals ruin everything. They ruined the Santa Tracker. Merry Christmas.

Creepy Joe and DOCTOR Jill Biden participated in taking calls for the NORAD Santa Tracker and were treated to “Let’s Go Brandon!”.

Now, I hate and despise Creepy Joe and DOCTOR Jill, but I love Christmas and the NORAD Santa Tracker. I don’t want to hear Let’s go Brandon on Christmas. I want to remember the Christ-child. And, I want to remember the men and women who have fought to preserves the freedoms that we enjoy. I want to enjoy the Christmas of Swing that our Kim wrote about. That’s a Merry Christmas.

I was looking for something uplifting to write about when I found this article from USNews.com “COVID-19 Makes Biden’s 1st White House Christmas Less Merry”.

In pre-pandemic times, presidents and first ladies spent many December evenings in the run-up to Christmas hosting nearly two dozen holiday parties and receptions, sometimes two per day, where they stood in line for hours posing for photos with ecstatic guests.

Eggnog and adult beverages flowed freely, partygoers piled dinner plates with shrimp and cocktail sauce, and dessert tables offered cookies decorated in the image of White House dogs — some of which were slipped into purses and pockets for the trip home.

All of that was scrapped this year.

Instead, the Bidens invited groups of up to 100 people to holiday open houses, giving them half an hour — instead of the usual two — to tour the decorations on the ground and state floors. There was no food and drink. Nor was there picture-taking with the Bidens, who didn’t attend.

Guests had to attest to their vaccination status before showing up, wear a face mask at all times on the White House grounds and practice social distancing. Anyone not vaccinated had to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of the event.

That sounds like Ebeneezer Scrooge before the three spirits visited him. The Senior Senator from Tennessee, the awesome Marsha Blackburn had this to say:

“The Biden White House’s decision to cancel their ‘holiday party’ and instead hold a ‘holiday open house’ tracks right along with the Democrats’ tendency to virtue signal while simultaneously creating loopholes for themselves,” Blackburn said in a written statement.

Amen, Senator Blackburn. This did nothing to lift my spirits. I felt like Charlie Brown being laughed at by Lucy and Snoopy. My wonderful husband noticed how unusually downcast I was. We got in the car to view the lights in our neighborhood.

Merry Christmas

Nearly every house in our neighborhood was lit up just like this, including ours. Even better, it was in the mid-50’s on Christmas Eve and there were children out playing in several front yards. Just hearing the children laugh renewed me.

I came home and watched the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim.

I watched Linus explain the true meaning of Christmas to Charlie Brown:

Linus’ speech is Luke 2:8-14:

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

No matter who the President is. No matter how elected officials are trying to gum up our beautiful country. We have a Savior born to us. Emmanuel. That is sufficient. Glory to God in the highest and peace to his people on Earth. God Bless us, everyone. Merry Christmas.

At the end, I think the reason I can maintain my optimism (Despite how snarky I come across here) is simple:

No matter how bad things get, this is all temporary. There are many of us who simply live our lives and speak the truth in the face of adversity. Things can and do get better no matter who is holding the reigns of the country.

    Merry Christmas, everyone.

Shouldn’t Santa’s sack be full of lumps of coal?

Thank you for writing this. I was wondering if I was the only one who felt this way, kind of, welll…let down. I did not look at the Santa Tracker for the first time in many years. I focused on the beautiful huge snowflakes that drifted down outside the window. Christmas Eve, the holiest night of the year, the birth of Jesus Christ is what it’s all about. I thought about all the blessings I have, and I know there will be some changes this coming year, but I know that through Him I will still be blessed. I love watching Charlie Brown Christmas, think I will watch it again☺️ Merry Christmas!
