The Washington Post has a new article on now President Donald Trump partying with Jeffrey Epstein at Mar-a-Lago in 1992. The article, “Behind the scenes the night Trump partied at Mar-a-Lago with Jeffrey Epstein and NFL cheerleaders” is written in a breathless, tabloid style that the National Enquirer would envy.
Just the title tells the reader how titillating the article is: Jeffrey Epstein, Trump, NFL Cheerleaders, oh my! Twenty-seven years ago, then single Donald Trump partied at his Mar-a-Lago palace (bought in 1985) with a ton of people including Jeffrey Epstein and NFL cheerleaders. Here are the opening three paragraphs:
Donald Trump was coming off a bruising few years: His casino and real estate business had teetered on the edge of collapse, awash in debt. His marriage to Ivana Trump had disintegrated, and his relationship with model Marla Maples had fallen apart.
In November 1992, eager for a comeback, Trump threw a raucous party with NFL cheerleaders at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and invited NBC to tape the event.
Footage of that party, unearthed and aired by NBC News on Wednesday, shows Trump grabbing dancing cheerleaders and socializing with financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was arrested last week and charged with sex trafficking.
It wasn’t until 2005 that a woman would contact the Palm Beach Police and allege that her step-daughter had been involved with Epstein. Donald Trump is a man with a huge ego. He has never been accused of having Extra-Sensory Perception. He has never claimed to see the future. But, he should have known, right? According to court documents, Trump banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago in 2011 several years after a negotiated plea deal in Florida. While I find that too little to late, many politicians (ahem, Clinton), celebrities and journalists continued partying with Epstein. Why let facts get in the way?

There is so much to Fisk in this video, including the teleprompter reader, Chris Hayes, saying that Trump pushed former Labor Secretary Acosta out of his job. The reporting style is reminiscent of “A Current Affair” or “Hard Copy”.
Here is my favorite part of the WaPo article:
People who attended the Mar-a-Lago party recalled that the cheerleaders were from the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills, which were playing that weekend in Miami. Trump has long been interested in the NFL and, in 2014, made a failed bid to buy the Bills.
The former NBC producer said the 1992 party was “odd” — strange enough that she recalled telling her husband about it.
“Who says, ‘This is going to be good for my rehabilitation,’ and then invites a bunch of NFL cheerleaders over?” she said. “It was classic Donald Trump.”
One former Bills cheerleader who spoke on the condition of anonymity to protect her privacy recalled that Trump invited the cheerleaders to spend the night at Mar-a-Lago and that about 15 or 20 did so, sharing bedrooms all over the house.
“By the end of the night, Donald Trump was throwing people in the pool, but I think it was all in good fun,” said the former cheerleader, who said she steered clear of the host. “It looks crazier in the video than it was. We were young, we were in our 20s, we were having fun. We didn’t know he was going to be president of the United States.”
Oh my! A wealthy man invited NFL cheerleaders in their 20’s to party at his estate and rub elbows with the rich and famous. That has never happened before. None of the women say that Trump propositioned them. Yes, he ogled women, patted a backside and hugged and kissed them. He was a single man at the time. Donald Trump is a man who loves women. Grown-up women. Women in their twenties. Trump was 46 at the time. Big nothing burger.
The mainstream media is deceitful. But, we already knew that.

GWB says: Wow, you’re an ignorant troll.
First, “the right” did not go bonkers over the pizza tinfoil stuff. Most didn’t even know it was going on until it was over.
Second, I’ll just put this name out there: James Hodgkinson. That one didn’t require a conspiracy theory, just a bit of over-the-top dedication to the progressive movement.
Third, I don’t see anyone praising Trump for underage girls. This little bit of attempted defamation is trying to make something out of a totally adult party by linking Epstein. Now, if these were high school cheerleaders, I could get behind the outrage band leader for a bit. But these were adult cheerleaders.
Fourth, like other trolls, you try to link Trump to the underage stuff by conflating things that happened years apart, and before Epstein’s antics were made public. This party took place in 1992. Epstein didn’t have the first complaint made against him until in the 00s (iirc). And Trump not only kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago over an underage girl, but he helped the women going after Epstein in the first case.
OTOH, democrats/elites/media partied with Epstein AFTER his first conviction. Much like they regularly partied with Roman Polanski.
Again, as I’ve frequently said on other posts, I don’t need a porcelain saint to be my president. I DO need him to support America and defend my freedom. I’m hoping that some good solid conservatives have learned the right lessons from Trump, and can carry on 1) moving the Overton Window back to the right and 2) fighting for our freedom, our Constitution, and America.
And, maybe, enough conservatives will take the sticks out of their pekoo and look for actual conservative principles instead of insisting our nominee be “nice” or “proper” – like all the other northeast liberals we’ve elected.
