Jacinda Ardern Wants MORE Censorship Of Free Speech She Doesn’t Like

Remember Jacinda Ardern? The former New Zealand Prime Minister who stepped down because “she had no more in the tank?” The same woman who, if she could’ve, would’ve walled off the country entirely during the Covid lockdown panic.

Now, with her dual roles in not one but TWO Harvard fellowships, she’s back in the news calling for MORE censorship of free speech she doesn’t like. We are at war you see.

Last year, Newsweek among other media outlets, claimed that we just misunderstood what she was saying.

As Newsweek has reported on many occasions, misleading social media posts, articles and photos are commonly used to help spread unreliable information and mistruths, particularly on matters or figures of political debate.

The arguments being made about Ardern’s speech, in the rough, appear to be that any type of online censorship or regulation, from any authority, is damaging to the principle of freedom of speech, no matter how it manifests. Instead what she was referring to is the weaponization of free speech societies and platforms by misinformation agents.

They use the horrific Christchurch tragedy as an example of how “free speech” is bad. Which, according to Jacinda and her ilk, means any speech ‘they’ don’t like should be censored.

As we saw with the Covid lockdowns, free speech involving questions about the lockdowns, masks, or vaccines were censored all over the place. We must not go against the government narrative! The government narrative, according to our betters such as Jacinda, is the true and correct Free Speech we should engage in.

How very …Orwellian of her. Then again, you know she’s absolutely cheering the crackdown on free speech in the U.K. via the Online Safety Bill.

The flagship piece of legislation will force social media firms to remove illegal content and protect users, especially children, from material which is legal but harmful.

The idea was conceived in a white paper in 2019 but it has been a long and rocky road to turn it into law – with delays and controversies over issues such as freedom of speech and privacy.

Perhaps most controversially, one of the proposals would force platforms like WhatsApp and Signal to undermine messaging encryption so private chats could be checked for criminal content.

Again, as we’ve already watched play out in real time, questioning narratives about Covid, China, decisions by schools in regards to pushing LGBTQ and trans agendas on students, questioning the DOJ about Hunter Biden and censoring the laptop information for well over a year, was forbidden and censored by our betters.

Which is completely antithetical to our Constitutional right to free speech.

You see, what Jacinda wants is for the government to determine what the ‘right’ kind of free speech is.

“Silence is violence.” When those words became a popular mantra years ago on college campuses, I wrote that the anti-free speech movement was moving toward compelled speech while declaring dissenting views to be harmful.

Today, it isn’t just silence that is considered violence on college campuses. It is also speech, as both faculty and students are actively shutting down opposing views on subjects ranging from abortion to climate change to transgender issues.

Shutting down views one doesn’t like is not only taking place on college campuses, it is happening in the work place and in our government agencies. And Jacinda wants MORE of that.

All of it is to ‘protect’ us from what they deem is harmful.

Love how she spins her abrupt resignation. She wasn’t burned out. Nope, she just didn’t have any more kindness and empathy to give to her role.

“If you’re sensitive enough, it means you’re empathetic. We need more empathy in leadership. We need more kindness in leadership.”

Oh. I see. It was out of kindness and empathy that she imposed some of the world’s most draconian lockdowns upon her countrymen. In other words, it was a ‘I’m so so sorry to have to shut down your lives, but it’s really for your own good and I’ll suffer with you, I promise!’

It was boatloads of kindness and empathy that led to her calling for censorship last year and renewing that call this year.

Jacinda Ardern is peddling this censorship rhetoric to students at Harvard and around the world. And far too many will nod approvingly until it comes a time when it is THEIR speech that is silenced.

Morticia Ardern is another WEF protegee like Just A True Dolt. And if we are led to believe correctly, he may be on his way out too if he can’t keep his de facto coalition government together.

Does she have a rapid aging disease?
Thought staying out of the sun was supposed to make you look younger.
Perhaps she is 100 in donkey years.

Like so many of the socialist Left Madame Ardern seems certain of her own moral and intellectual superiority. Apparently, the notion of others having different opinions and life experience is threatening to her desire to create the perfect socialist ‘heaven’ on Earth [in her image?] much like the numerous Socialist Justice Warriors who preceded her and oppressed and even killed millions of those of different opinion around the world in the pursuit of a People’s Socialist Paradise. I think socialists would be happiest if there were no peasants over whom to rule, but they would then have to engage in honest labour themselves instead of leaching off the efforts of workers.

I want these people left alone on their own island with no way to contact the outside world. And then occasionally different militaries can do bombing runs

  • Bucky says:

Why would anyone who has paid attention be surprised?

  • People who imagine that, because they’re more intelligent and more moral than others, they’re somehow entitled to dictate to those others, are in great danger from their own vanity. Or is it We the Put-Upon who are in danger? Well, probably both. And today, the universities are packed solid with people who hold themselves so exalted. The Ivy Leagues are the worst of them. Jacinda Ardern will fit right in.
