As protests grow, the Iran government decides to cut off all internet and phone comms. That isn’t stopping Iranian citizens from taking to the streets in protest and a desire for freedom.
I have to think one of the final straws was Iran deciding last week that “paying” their people the equivalent of $7 (SEVEN) dollars a month would bring the miscreants in line.
Thousands of Iranians continued to flood the streets Tuesday in the country’s largest protest over the crumbling economy – after the announcement of a minuscule stimulus payment only fanned the flames.
The raucous nationwide demonstrations carried on for the 10th day after government officials announced Monday that about 80 million eligible citizens will receive 10 million Iranian rials a month — worth about $7.70 at real exchange rates.
Government spokeswoman Fatemeh Monajerani, who announced the handout on state TV, said the meager aid will be delivered through direct deposit as a credit that can be used for basic home necessities to help “reduce the economic pressure on the people.”
Stop and think about that for a minute. Obama worked the Iran Deal which ended up with pallets of cash flying over to Iran in the dead of night. Biden allowed Iranian terrorists into the US. Furthermore, Iran was even emboldened by the Obama Administration doing nothing when our ships were boarded and our sailors were held captive during the waning days of the Obama Administration.
The Iranian government is a terrorist regime. Everyone has known that since the very first day Americans were taken hostage and then held for 444 days. Yet even as that has been acknowledged, we’ve had idiot Democrats (Obama, Kerry, and Biden) thinking they could APPEASE the regime by entering into the Iran Deal and handing them metric tons of cash.
What that has done is A. given them money to funnel towards more worldwide terrorism and B. left Iranian citizens in the dust.
They are currently dealing with major water and electrical shortages, while also grappling with nearly 4,000% inflation. And all the Iranian government does is hand them $7 a month and tell them to be grateful, while their paid terrorists still get at least $800 a month.
Horseshit.
The Iranian people have had enough. $7 a month to live?? WOW. Is it any wonder that protests are now happening across hundreds of cities in Iran?
It’s telling that the government’s response is to shut down phone and internet comms so the world can’t see.
Iran plunged into an internet blackout on Thursday, monitoring groups said, as nationwide protests demanding the ouster of the Islamic government spread to multiple cities and grew in size, according to witnesses.
The internet shutdown came a day after the heads of Iran’s judiciary and its security services said they would take tough measures against anyone protesting. But the threats did not deter demonstrators.
In telephone interviews, more than a dozen witnesses said that they saw large crowds forming on Thursday night in neighborhoods across Tehran, the capital, and in cities around Iran, including Mashhad, Bushehr, Shiraz and Isfahan. They said the crowds were diverse, with men and women, young and old. The people interviewed inside Iran asked that their names not be published out of fear of retribution.
The retaliation is that you get arrested, imprisoned, or dead. Iranians have been living with that threat since the late 1970’s when the Carter Administration gave the impetus for the Shah to be overthrown.
Of course, the government cuts communications in order to silence world scrutiny.
Millions of Iranians demanded their freedom tonight. In response, the regime in Iran has cut all lines of communication. It has shut down the Internet. It has cut landlines. It may even attempt to jam satellite signals.
I want to thank the leader of the free world, President Trump, for reiterating his promise to hold the regime to account. It is time for others, including European leaders, to follow his lead, break their silence, and act more decisively in support of the people of Iran.
I call on them to use all technical, financial, and diplomatic resources available to restore communication to the Iranian people so that their voice and their will can be heard and seen. Do not let the voices of my courageous compatriots be silenced.
As Iranians are protesting and fighting for freedom, where is the government leadership? Well, some of them are hiding out with their families in Lebanon.
I can confirm @NiohBerg’s post here.

Our sources have verified that Araghchi has taken his family to Lebanon after he arranged the “official trip”, which usually doesn’t involve families.
It’s quite clear that his family is definitely staying there even if he is dragged back to…
Isn’t that cute? He takes his family and runs to the headquarters of Hezbollah in Lebanon. I do have to wonder if Mossad has a Pager Go Boom Plan C in place? Meanwhile, speculation has it that Khamenei will hotfoot it to Moscow if things get too hot in the Iranian kitchen.
Here’s the thing, here in the US, we have people protesting on behalf of illegal alien criminals who commit brutal crimes such as assault, rape, and murder. Do ANY of them protest for Iranians trying to survive against a brutal dictator regime? No. Never.
It’s telling to watch leftists loudly proclaim their “support for oppressed people,” yet remain completely silent as mass protests erupt across Iran—where people are literally risking their lives for freedom.

Do any of them protest against the Taliban keeping women from having careers? No. They protest against supposed government brutality. In Iran, that gets you imprisoned or dead.
The cowardice of the entitled Western slacktivist students who chant “Free Palestine” from a tent on campus is in sharp contrast to the bravery of Iranian students and others standing up to the guns of the vicious Islamic Republic regime.

Our government doesn’t cut off all communications if it doesn’t like what the protestors are doing. Your asshat free speech is still allowed because we have an amazing First Amendment. In Iran, the government cuts off ALL communication to keep the world from hearing you, and will kill you if you persist in speaking out.
See the difference?
We can only hope and pray that THIS time they will prevail.

The Left’s hatred of Western Civilization will not permit them to celebrate the Persian people being freed from Muslim tyranny. I expect a lot of sobbing if the mullahs are overthrown.
The world would be a very different place today, if back in November 1979 Jimmy Carter had told the Ayatollah that there would be a 747 landing in Tehran that night and that if every hostage was not on their way home that same night the next planes they’d see would be B52’s.
