Kamala Harris and her Plus-One had an interview with Dana Bash last night. And well, it was an interview fail.
It’s been thirty eight days since Kamala Harris has conducted an interview of any kind. And, her football blocking dummy, Tim Walz has been AWOL on the interview circuit as well.
Yet now, at the very last minute, an interview is scheduled with CNN’s Dana Bash.
Vice President Kamala Harris faces the next test in her presidential bid on Thursday with her first unscripted interviewwith a major media outlet since becoming the Democratic nominee.
Harris will be hoping to extend the momentum she’s conjured at the start of her campaign – and to avoid the types of unforced errors that plagued her first presidential bid in 2019, as well as her early days as vice president. It’s also a chance for the newly anointed candidate to heighten a contrast with Republican nominee Donald Trump, to connect with undecided voters and to highlight her credentials to lead in the Oval Office at a tense time for the United States at home and abroad. [Emphasis Added]
CNN tells us this interview is a game-changer because it will silence those who have complained about Kamala’s blatant avoidance of the media. Evidently we here at Victory Girls are just as whiny as President Trump on this subject. I’m totally fine with that.
Kamala is a candidate for President who is running on a platform of emptiness and reversals.
NEW: The Harris campaign confirms to @FoxNews that Harris has reversed several of her prior positions on immigration, including decriminalizing illegal crossings, a pledge to close ICE detention centers, and the idea that ICE should be abolished or “started from scratch”.

Re:…
Read it all.
Taxes? The more the merrier according to Kamala’s campaign. She’ll tax everything that moves then tax them some more. More slogans, zero details.
Israel: She’s repeatedly stated that a two-state solution is preferable while throwing our ally under her favorite electric bus. But a written policy? It’s non-existent. As for her entire foreign policy? Where does she stand? We have no idea.
With fracking (which she had pledged to ban altogether in 2019), we are treated to word salads or more flip flopping.
Republicans have hammered Harris over her 2019 campaign promise to ban fracking, the technology that unlocked the gusher of oil production that has made the United States the world’s largest crude producer.
Harris has since flipped on that promise. But she still hasn’t explained what’s caused her to change her mind, whether it was an acknowledgement that she’ll likely need to win votes in gas-rich Pennsylvania to gain the White House or that the federal government is in fact mostly powerless to ban fracking because it generally takes place on private land.
Education? Healthcare? Social Security? Defense? The Second Amendment? She’s running on a highly INVISIBLE platform right now. And soundbites do not a platform make.
Kamala Harris’ only job in the interview is not to embarrass herself.

Dana Bash’s job is to pitch softballs so she doesn’t embarrass herself.
Tim Walz’s job is to jump in and save her if it looks like she will embarrass herself.
Kamala Harris will still embarrass herself.
There’s already been embarrassment as her campaign has been claiming for the last two days that the two of them sitting for an interview is just long-standing TRADITION! Uh huh…
My dad did thousands of interviews alone – and with Sarah. He wasn’t hiding like a coward from the press the way Kamala is right now.

I know, I was there the entire time.
Any comparison is not only politically ignorant but lazy. https://t.co/eEd5UPogJB
This interview will show us Kamala and what she brings to the table for America,IF Dana actually conducts journalism and asks questions that demand detailed answers. Remember, CNN informed us yesterday morning that this would be a totally UNSCRIPTED interview.
Except, it was very scripted. Amusingly, CNN tried to make this interview a SUPER BIG THING while claiming that everything was on the table for the entire 18 minutes. Yes, you read that correctly, the interview was only EIGHTEEN MINUTES long.
WHAT THE FLUGELHORN IS THIS?!

CNN's movie trailer opening with Dana Bash of her Kamala Harris and Tim Walz interview is like Kamala HQ made it pic.twitter.com/tGrPOjaCOl
For such a softball interview, Kamala’s answers missed the mark. The first question was about what Kamala as President would do on Day 1 of her Presidency. After watching and listening to her answer, I still have no clue.
She also refused to answer if Bidenomics is working as planned, and was supremely defensive regarding her position on fracking.
REALITY CHECK: Kamala Harris is literally on video saying that there was “no question” that she would ban fracking.

It was all I could do to not throw something when she claimed a deal between Palestine and Israel must be done in order to unlock great things. What the hell??!!
And yes, there were word salad answers.
Instant classic from Kamala Harris in tonight's interview (excerpts are now up): "The climate crisis is real that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time." Undefeated. She's still got it—even as the nominee.

Tim Walz, who was asked all of three questions, is well trained on the art of the tap dance, and he still didn’t come clean about his Blue Falcon issues.
Tim Walz had a month to come up with an excuse for why he claimed he carried weapons in war even though he’s never been to war and the best excuse he could come up with is “my grammar isn’t always correct.”

Bad grammar??!! In fact, his answer implies that everyone lies about their military record and we should be fine with that. No, this military family is NOT OK with that.
Furthermore, Kamala has no shame over the fact that she along with everyone else in the Biden Administration hid from the public how bad Joe’s condition really is.
.@ScottJenningsKY: "I also thought it was interesting that she didn't take any responsibility at the end for telling the American people that Joe Biden was fine and he was strong when we all know that's not true. That's why he's out of the race and she's still standing by the… pic.twitter.com/qeXkwIhhqU

Tell me, is this someone that we can trust to stand up for America if there’s a crisis here at home or abroad? Will Kamala and her Plus-One stand up to the dictators and terrorists of this world? Will they stand for all AMERICAN citizens? This 18 minute chat session masquerading as an interview gave us zero answers and more questions.
For a campaign that’s running on JOY, very little was evident during last night’s interview.
