Next month the Biden administration will scrap Title 42, a Trump-era health policy that restricts illegal immigration. But while Texas is bracing for a massive onslaught of illegals coming into the state, Gov. Greg Abbott has a plan: let’s bus these migrants to Washington, DC.

What Scrapping Title 42 Will Do

Title 42 came about as a response to the Covid pandemic, and it allows border officials to immediately expel migrants without letting them claim asylum. According to official estimates, the law has been used over 1.7 million times.

But now that’s about to end. Since Title 42 originally came about as a health initiative, the Centers for Disease Control will decide whether or not to lift the law on May 23. And because Joe Biden and his band of progressives are at the helm, expect the CDC to scrap it.

White House communications director Kate Bedingfield also thinks that will happen:

“We have every expectation that when the CDC ultimately decides it’s appropriate to lift Title 42, there will be an influx of people to the border. And so we are doing a lot of work to plan for that contingency.”

If you believe that the Biden administration will have this under control, then let me interest you in a bridge.

Even Texas Democratic Reps. Henry Cuellar and Vincente Gonzalez know that the doo-doo will hit that fan once Title 42 goes away. They wrote in a letter:

“In fact, Axios reports that DHS estimates that 25,000 migrants reside in Mexican shelters just south of the U.S. border, waiting for Title 42 to end. And some U.S. intelligence estimates reportedly indicate that an influx of more than 170,000 migrants could materialize if the public health authority is lifted.”

Meanwhile, in Congress on Wednesday, Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) lit into House Judiciary Chair Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and other Democrats for the approaching chaos at the Texas border. Roy was passionate. Nadler didn’t seem to care much.

Greg Abbott Has a Brilliant Idea

But Chip Roy isn’t the only Texan to be fired-up about what’s coming to his state. Gov. Greg Abbott came up with his own idea. And it’s brilliant.

Texas will send migrants via bus to Washington, DC. Abbott said:

“To help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who have been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington, D.C.”

Hey, at least there won’t be Mexican gang mules transporting them.

What’s more, Fox’s Bill Melugin, who’s been doing yeoman’s work at the border, reports that “the migrants will be dropped off at the steps of the U.S. Capitol.”

Perfect! 

And while Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) applauds his governor’s plan, he added some destinations of his own, too:

“But Texas shouldn’t ONLY send charter buses of illegal aliens to DC. I filed federal legislation to ALSO send them to: – Martha’s Vinyard, MA – Nantucket, MA – Palo Alto, CA – Greenwich, CT – Scarsdale, NY – Newport, RI – Rehoboth Beach, DE”

Texan Republicans are on a roll, as in rolling the migrants out of their state to the people who invited them there. As Abbott said:

“We are sending them to the United States Capitol where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border.”

Progressives Are Fuming at Abbott

Naturally, progressives at Twitter are tearing their hair out at Greg Abbott. And they’re calling on Beto O’Rourke to defeat him in the race for governor.

To paraphrase Princess Leia in Star Wars: Help us, Robert Francis O’Rourke! You’re our only hope! 

Like the “The USA Singers” who make “Resistance Music” — whatever the hell that is:

Finally, a writer for Rolling Stone opined that “Greg Abbott Stakes Claim as Most Evil Governor in America.”

Yeah, I’m sure he’s shedding tears over the opinion of Rolling Stone. 

Greg Abbott is Taking Care of Texas

Let the progressives spit and snarl. Gov. Greg Abbott is taking care of his state. He knows there are hundreds of drug-smuggling tunnels that exist at the border. He also knows about the cartels who murder people and dump their bodies on American soil. And that’s in addition to the struggles ranchers face as they encounter illegal migrants on their property.

If Joe Biden or Kamala Harris won’t come to see what’s happening on the border, then Abbott is bringing the border to them. Well-played, Governor. Well-played.
