And in a not so strange and unpredictable turn of events, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has gone from not wanting to be “those type of people” to wanting to be “those type of people”.
Struggling to care for close to 200,000 migrants illegals in New York City, Eric Adams has certainly changed his tune.
A. staunch defender of sanctuary city policies, Eric Adams took to a town hall where he might have backpedaled a bit:
I don’t believe people who are violent in our city and commit repeated crimes should have the privilege. You don’t have the right to be in our city and tarnish the overwhelming number who are here following the rules.”-NYC Mayor, Eric Adams
Too little, too late, perhaps? But, do go on, Mr. Adams:
I want to go back to the standards of the previous mayors who, I believe, subscribed to my belief that people who are suspected of committing serious crimes in this city should be held accountable,”-Eric Adams
Good luck with that. But Adams is desperate. He is now uttering the “D”-word (deportation).
This revelation comes to Adams a few days after a 15 year-old teenager, who is an illegal from Venezuela, shot a tourist in Times Square. A month after police were attacked and assaulted by illegals in Times Square.
This revelation also comes of the heels of learning that a Venezuelan man by the name of Jose Antonio Ibarra, who entered this country illegally, was busted and released on charges in New York City before eventually ending up in Atlanta, Georgia where he killed Augusta University student, Laken Riley.
Now, Eric Adams wants to deport. So much for “Mi casa es su casa“.
"We should protect our immigrants." Period.
Yes, New York City will remain a sanctuary city under an Adams administration. #EricOnNBC

Ooof. Now that did not age well.
The overwhelming number of migrants and asylum seekers that are here, they want to work, but those small numbers that are committing crimes, we need to modify the sanctuary city law that if you commit a felony, a violent act, we should be able to turn you over to ICE and have you deported.”-Eric Adams
But, we guess desperate times call for desperate measures. $2.4 billion is not enough to take care of this problem. And Biden? Well, Joe Biden is too busy eating ice cream with Seth Meyers to look around and see the overcrowded crap-hole New York City has become.
“Folks, I voted for a fence; I voted, and unlike most Democrats — and some of you won’t like it — I voted for 700 miles of fence. But, let me tell you, we can build a fence 40 stories high — unless you change the dynamic in Mexico and — and you will not like this, and — punish American employers who knowingly violate the law when, in fact, they hire illegals. Unless you do those two things, all the rest is window dressing.”-Joe Biden 2007
The genius probably forgot what he said in 2007. (I know, he can hardly remember what he said after finishing up his prunes with his morning oatmeal.) We guess Eric better hope that Trump gets elected this year.
I can see the Democrats now, saying things like “Ship ’em back to Texas because they shipped them to you, New York!” Yeah, well, Mayor Adams and the New York City Democrats asked for this. Other sanctuary cities also asked for this. No walls needed. “nO hOoMaN iS iLlEgAl” or something, right? The Democrats have brought this on themselves sitting in their Ivory Towers and telling individuals who opposed illegal immigration that they were “horrible, ultra-MAGA deploreable racists”.
You know what is horrible and deplorable? A young woman, who had her whole life ahead of her, getting that life and her hopes and her dreams cut short by a person who would not otherwise be here if it weren’t for relaxed laws at our southern border.
So, if Adams wants to utter the “d” word, let him. It’s all wishful thinking at this point.
