Just when we thought things were all quite on the Hillary E-mail Gate front, another shoe drops. This time, former aide, Bryan Pagliano, who worked on Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign before helping install the server system in her New York home, was asked to testify about the server by the House Select Committee on Benghazi, the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

Pagliano had been subpoenaed by the Benghazi committee Aug. 11 and committee chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C. ordered that he appear for questioning Sept. 10. Gowdy had also demanded that Pagliano provide documents related to all servers or computer systems controlled or owned by Clinton between 2009 and 2013 according to the Washington Post.

“Mr. Pagliano’s legal counsel told the committee yesterday that he would plead the 5th to any and all questions if he were compelled to testify,” –Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa

Pagliano’s attorney, Mark McDougall had the following comment:

“While we understand that Mr. Pagliano’s response to this subpoena may be controversial in the current political environment, we hope that the members of the Select Committee will respect our client’s right to invoke the protections of the Constitution.”

Pagliano served with the State in the capacity of several titles-strategic adviser, special projects manager, chief technology officer and the deputy chief information officer. He left the State department after Clinton’s departure. That was when Clinton hired Platte River Networks to manage the device (in the closet of a bathroom where it was “wiped with a cloth or something.”)

As the evidence that Clinton and her cohorts are hiding something continues to snowball,and while we see Hillary’s support waning soem in her camp, there are still some diehard Democrats who continue to spew that the exposure of Clinton’s management of her server is nothing but a Republican attempt to take a Democratic presidential hopeful down. Politics is dirty. There has never once been an incident of a Democratic hopeful taking a Republican down, right?

Underlying all of this is something we simply can’t ignore. We see this strategy with the left time and time again. When the fire gets hot, they get out of the kitchen. Benghazi questions? Silence (or poor attempts at humor) from the former Secretary of State. E-mail practices questioned and key hopeful in the hot seat? Let’s delay debates, shall we?

Off topic a bit, in a broader political sense of the issues we face in America today, let’s look at the Planned Parenthood videos. More silence from the Democratic administration. Police shootings? Sure, it would be a great time for President Obama to take a trip to Alaska to talk about “climate change” at Mendenhall Glacier, don’t you think? Look at the #BlackLivesMatter movement. In terms of 2016, do we want a Bernie who gives up the mic or do we want a Carly that looks someone right in the face and tells us like it is as difficult and controversial as that may be?

Avoid, avoid, avoid and deflect some more is the modus operandi of the Democratic administration. Do we need MORE of that? As far as former Hillary aide Bryan Pagliano goes, the guy may have simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time but I can’t help to find his legal counsel’s response to subpoena ironic. He’ll be “Pleading the Fifth”=more silence. For the forward-thinking progressives who think our Constitution is just an antiquated piece of paper, they are sure happy to invoke one of its Amendments when it proves to be convenient for them. Funny how that works.
