On Monday October 16, 2017, deserter Bowe Bergdahl will appear in court.
Some eight years after Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl walked off his combat outpost in the mountains of eastern Afghanistan, he is expected to plead guilty Monday to charges he deserted his unit and misbehaved before the enemy, endangering his fellow soldiers.
Saying he ‘walked off’ is pretty mild for what actually happened. As our long-time readers know, we’ve written extensively about this sad excuse for a soldier multiple times.
Here’s what you should know about Bergdahl.
The soldier admitted to a two-star general after he was released from captivity in May 2014 that he left Observation Post Mest in Paktika province without permission before he was kidnapped by Taliban fighters. In his admission, Bergdahl said he did not intend to desert his unit, but instead he wanted to cause a commotion that would place him in front of top officers to air grievances about his chain of command.
In other words, he didn’t like where he was, he didn’t like the men he was serving with, he didn’t like being in the Army, he didn’t like the U.S. policy and so he ‘walked off’ base in 2009. Sorry folks, in my book that’s called DESERTION.
According to psychiatrists Bergdahl suffers from schizotypal personality disorder. They say he lacks the ability to understand fully the extent of his behavior and choices upon others, yet is well aware that what he did was wrong. How wrong was it? Let’s take a look at what happened after he deserted and was captured by the Taliban.
Given that Bergdahl had disappeared and given where the observation post was, the Army sent men out on daily missions looking for the little punk.
Eight American soldiers were killed in the following weeks after Bergdahl’s desertion as they looked for him.
Eight American soldiers, on missions that involved looking for Bergdahl, were killed because of him.
First Lieutenant Brian Bradshaw
Private First Class Aaron Fairbarn
Private First Class Justin Casillas
Private First Class Morris Walker
Staff Sergeant Clayton Bowen
Staff Sergeant Kurt Curtiss
Second Lieutenant Darryn Andrews
Private First Class Matthew Martinek
You can read about the men who died looking for a deserter here. The rest of the soldiers involved in those search missions were ordered to keep quiet. For five long years they did. Then Bergdahl was found.
Then Obama made the situation even worse. He paid off the Taliban by releasing five major Taliban operatives from Guantanamo Bay and sending them to Qatar!
The five transferred Taliban detainees have been named by the US State Department as Mohammad Fazl, Mullah Norullah Noori, Mohammed Nabi, Khairullah Khairkhwa and Abdul Haq Wasiq.
Not only that, but Obama praised Bergdahl in an announcement in the Rose Garden!
The Taliban, already doing a major happy dance because 5 high-ranking Taliban officials were freed, were even more thrilled when Bergdahl’s father gave thanks to “Allah the merciful” while standing in front of the White House!
Meanwhile Susan Rice praised Bergdahl.

Well Susan, you were wrong about Iran and you were really REALLY wrong about Bergdahl. In regards to others who are trying to make all of this stench regarding Bergdahl less stinky?

Exactly. Bergdahl did not keep his oath. He abandoned his post. His actions led to eight American soldiers being killed. Not a single bit of that is honorable in any way shape or form. He voluntarily deserted. Period.
For those who were there at the time, for those who watched good men die because of him; will his guilty plea be enough? Only they can answer that question.
This waste of oxygen should be in Kansas making little rocks out of big ones. He is one despicable traitor!
When Chairman O traded him for those five terrorist leaders, Barry passed Carter as the worst president of my lifetime.
will his guilty plea be enough?
If it leads to him spending the rest of his life in a dark hole*, it might be. Only if he was hung or faced a firing squad could it truly be enough, though, imo.
(* If he pleads, it means the death sentence is off the table.)
And, it appears a death sentence was never on the table, based on what Marta wrote. Huh.
