Don Jr: End Bud Light Boycott Because Money

Donald Trump Jr has called for an end to the Bud Light backlash and boycott from Republicans. For all the wrong reasons.

Donald Trump Jr. is coming to Anheuser-Busch’s defense amid intense criticism sparked by a recent marketing campaign featuring transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

While speaking on his podcast Triggered on Thursday night, Trump Jr. mentioned the recent backlash Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch are facing. “Is this a one-off colossal screw up? Or is it something bigger,” Trump Jr. asked. “This could be the act of one rogue woke lunatic in a marketing department filled with leftist staffers.” Donald Trump Jr. then referenced a Daily Wire report that no senior-level member at Anheuser Busch was aware of the partnership with Dylan Mulvaney.

As our readers know, many companies including Bud Light have been funneling money to transgender wanna-be Dylan Mulvaney in exchange for his dramatic childish acting scenes on Instagram using those products. Which includes KitchenAid, Oil of Olay, Crest, Bud Light, Tampax, and others. Things really got going when people found out about Bud Light using Mulvaney to promote the beer dressing as Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” or swanning around in a huge bathtub filled with bubbles.

Needless to say, the Bud Light backlash began precisely because the vast majority of Bud Light’s customer base is A. biological male, B. working men from the heartland, C. NOT transgender, and D. not women.

Yet, after two weeks of silence wherein Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch were so thrilled with the promotion that they didn’t even defend their company, their product, nor even Dylan Mulvaney – other than to clumsily state he “authentically” connects with women, an “apology” is issued.

And Bud Light stuck their toe back in the social media waters.

Believe me, the ratio on that tweet is one for the ages. But back to Don Jr requesting that the boycott and backlash stop. His reasoning is absurd.

“So here’s the deal. Anheuser-Busch totally sh*t the bed with this Dylan Mulvaney thing. I’m not, though, for destroying an American, an iconic company for something like this,” Trump Jr. said.

Trump cited Anheuser-Busch’s record of donating slightly more to conservative politicians than liberal ones as reason to keep buying their beer.

“The company itself doesn’t participate in the same leftist nonsense as the other big conglomerates,” Trump said. “Frankly, they don’t participate in the same woke garbage that other people in the beer industry actually do, who are significantly worse offenders when I looked into it. But if they do this again, then it’s on them! Then, screw them.”

Well, yes. Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch definitely screwed up…royally.

However, stopping a boycott or stopping any criticism of a company because they happen to donate MORE to Republicans than Democrats is an absolutely asinine reason for backing down.

If a company wants their product(s) to sell, their marketing campaigns need to appeal to as much of their entire audience as possible. Which, in the case of Bud Light plus Anheuser-Busch, is not the Dylan Mulvaneys of the world.

Furthermore, there has been a growing backlash overall against the push for transgenders whether in sports, entertainment, hospitals, or our schools as Lisa just wrote about earlier today.

People are asking why this is important to me or why does it matter what a company promotes?

What Bud Light didn’t promote here is their product. Instead they promoted an ideology. An ideology of men wanting to be and changing themselves physically (not biologically) to be women. An ideology that is pushing women aside in sports, in school, our government, social media, and in the workplace. An ideology that further endangers children and adults both physically and mentally.

Women have fought for years for a fair shake in sports and in employment. Now, because of an ideology, women are being pushed aside for a favored few.

Stopping a boycott because one company happens to donate more to Republicans is not the way.

Secondly, why is this important to me and I hope to many others? Because I AM A WOMAN. I am feminine, I am strong, and being told that transgender men (or someone playacting the same) should take precedence over me, my daughters, my mother, my sisters, cousins, my granddaughter and girls/women all over is wrong on every level.

Don Jr. needs to read the room. Stopping a boycott because MUH Republican donations! is asinine and quite frankly insulting.  We are supposed to believe that it is more important to alienate big corporate donors than a significant portion of America. Don Jr. wants this boycott to stop because of money, donations, and because Anheuser-Busch isn’t ‘as woke’ as other companies. What a load of horseshit.

The backlash and boycott show that men and women have had enough of progressive agendas shoved in our face. Don Jr. would do well to pull his head out and again, read the damned room.

I normally agree with Don Jr. but thjis time he’s dead wrong. Good post Nina, the boycott should not stop until AB not only issues an ACTUAL apology, but shitcans the moronic woman who came up with this idea. Then and only then should it be called off (full disclosure, I much prefer real beer to budlight, so I can’t buy less than none.. But I’ll support those who do boycott.)

Yeah, my boycott of Bud Light started like 35 years ago when I could afford something better. (IOW, I graduated from college. I refuse to accept responsibility for any kegs.)

“Stop the boycott because they donate to Republicans.”

And that’s why we fucking lose the culture wars, Don. The boycott and the backlash is working. That’s the wrong time to back off.

The real issue here is this:
The people who want “inclusivity” are a**holes and the rest of us don’t want them around.

When nobody coming to the party wants Bob to be there because he will get drunk and start bad-mouthing people and will grope the women and probably throw up in the bathroom and break at least one thing in the house, but the host insists on inviting him because they don’t want him to feel left out, then nobody else wants to come to the party. If they just included some semi-normal trannies (that is, people who just want to quietly live as the other sex, but don’t flaunt it or try to tell others how to live as that sex) along with the non-obnoxious homosexuals and the regular people in a group enjoying Bud Light, that would have been one thing. But they actually chose Bob, the a**hole. That’s not how you do “inclusivity”.

I’d say the same thing about how you pick a presidential nominee. You picked an a**hole twice. After the general public got a flavor for what the a**hole president stood for, you lost practically every election in the midterm and the next presidential race. Now, you’re on the verge of doing it again! Nominating the 280 pound malignant tumor for a third time.

You might want to talk to your kin about how not to chose an a**hole. Has Fox News paying $758,000,000 because of spreading lies (because the a**hole’s ego was damaged and he couldn’t admit he lost) not taught you anything?

Isn’t this whole thing about money? Wasn’t this about targeting a new demographic because sales were lagging? And that”bratty” image being scrubbed?……Well, they succeeded in the image change. And, yes, it’s now about money…….or the lack of it….. So far, we’ve had the non-apology apology and having the flag and America rubbed in our face. Next will be the championing of “womens rights”. And after next months’ financial report(May4th or 5th), the spectre of doom and gloom layoffs that will be blamed on those “radical Republicans”……….all this because money is the real “king of beers”….

  • Kevin says:

Cancel culture? Snowflakes? Where have I heard those terms before? Oh yeah, from conservatives who bitched and complained about things they liked/valued/respected got “banned.”

Okay, don’t drink bud light. I’m guessing you can’t go to a movie, a concert or watch a tv show because typically/usually the actor/singer/performer leans liberal. About all you can do is listen to Kid Rock and watch movies with Scott Baio.

Have a fun life … in your cave.
