The Democrat party is in damage control mode. The revelations contained in the DNC emails released by Wikileaks on Friday have definitively highlighted all that is the very worst about the Democrat party, about the DNC itself, and specifically all that is so very wrong about Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
As more information came to light regarding the power plays, the collusion with the media, Debbie’s fight with various media such as Mika Brzezinski and Chuck Todd, the planned slander attacks on Bernie Sanders, plus the maneuvering to keep him from the nomination, the worse it got.
So much so that she was basically ostracized, actually “quarantined” from the convention.

And many top Democrats are not fans of hers and believe she’ll make the convention worse…for Hillary.
David Axelrod, a former top adviser to Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns and a CNN senior political commentator, said Wasserman Schultz should resign.
“I would ask her to step aside. I would ask her to step aside because she’s a distraction in a week that is Hillary Clinton’s week,”
I wonder if she wishes she could take back this tweet?
Hey @Reince – I'm in Cleveland if you need another chair to help keep your convention in order. #RNCinCLE

Her speaking role was totally scrubbed along with any other high profile visible roles that she’d planned for this week. The DNC had a contentious meeting earlier today to write a statement for the media about this mess.
In a meeting Sunday that was described as at times contentious, Wasserman Schultz said she wanted the statement issued in the name of Amy Dacey, the DNC’s CEO.
“We said no,” said a veteran party activist involved in the discussions. “She needs to own this.”
Separately, a Democratic operative said Hispanic leaders close to Clinton and her high command were discussing Housing Secretary Julian Castro as a possible successor to Wasserman Schultz at the DNC helm.
After all that has come to light in the last few days, would Debbie step up and accept any responsibility? Given the fact that, at that same meeting Debbie STILL insisted this would all blow over and she can strut on the convention stage and have her moment…the DNC began to finally realize that reality is not her strong suit. Hence the changes at the convention.
.@jeffzeleny so, effectively, she got sent to her room for a timeout. Seems a fitting punishment for disenfranchising her own party members.

Go figure. Well, now its official. She is resigning...but will somehow still get to spout the party line, kind of.
In a statement, Wasserman Schultz said she was proud of the party’s platform and would continue to support Clinton in her campaign.
“Going forward, the best way for me to accomplish those goals is to step down as Party Chair at the end of this convention,” she said. “As Party Chair, this week I will open and close the Convention and I will address our delegates about the stakes involved in this election not only for Democrats, but for all Americans.”
Will Debbie reluctantly throwing herself under the bus change anything?
Let me list the states whose voting outcomes will be altered by the Debbie Wasserman Schultz DNC resignation/scandal:

About the only voting outcome I could see changing up is Debbie’s OWN race in Florida. If I was Tim Canova, I would jump on all this with both feet and keep hammering at her all the way to the day of the primary.
Given the mindset and the environment all those, Debbie included who have contributed to this garbage and still think Benghazi was no big deal, that Hillary’s email/server scandal shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place, loves them some Planned Parenthood, hates our military and law enforcement with all their might, won’t see the forest for the trees concerning terrorism, whole heartedly believe climate change is gonna kill us all, and never saw a tax or regulation they didn’t like… will anything change after she slinks away once the Democrat convention is done? Not hardly.
The supreme irony is this: Debbie Wasserman Shultz resigns because her sneaky underhanded maneuvering saw the light of day. We can’t have that. But meanwhile Hillary, who has done the same for decades (has had the same made public time and time again), gets to run for POTUS. Seems legit.
UPDATE: Well that was fast. The bus never had a chance to get going as the fix was already in!

Caleb Howe at RedState says it best.
Like President Obama, Hillary offers no apology or even acknowledgment that it was wrong of the DNC to rig the election against Senator Sanders. Instead, she praises DWS and gives her a new job. ON HER CAMPAIGN.
If that isn’t a middle finger to the Bernie Sanders voters, I don’t know what is.
Quite frankly, if anyone is really paying attention, its a gigantic middle finger to a whole lot of major players in the Democrat party. But it still won’t change anything.
Offer an apology for rigging an election? Both Barry and Hillary are from Chicago. It’s the Chicago Way. Rigging elections isn’t just for use against Republicans; it’s used by The Machine against anyone who challenges The Machine. Now is the time to follow the standard press strategy for when the truth comes out – ignore the story long enough so that when your Poodles in the Press finally have to ask about it, you can say “That’s old news”, and refuse to answer.
