“CNN.com” is reporting that DNA testing is being performed on the children and adults held at the border to prove family connections. According to the CNN report:

“The safety and security is paramount and that it is not uncommon for children to be trafficked or smuggled by those claiming to be parents. To our knowledge this is a cheek swab and is being done to expedite parental verification and ensuring reunification with verified parents due to child welfare concerns,” the official said.
The source could not discuss how long the practice has been taking place, if the testing requires consent and if the DNA is stored in a database.

Why would it be necessary to prove these children and adults are actually blood related family members? No one but a loving and adoring parent interested only in the safety and welfare of a child would leave a “shithole” country and travel through other “shithole” countries fraught with peril dragging beloved child every step of the way, right?

Victory Girls’s Marta Hernandez wrote about this a couple of weeks ago in her post “Separating Kids from Parents; Separating Fact from Hysteria”. I linked to it so go read it. Did you see that statistic?

From October 2017 to February 2018, there was a 315 percent increase in the number of cases of adults with minors fraudulently posing as “family units” to gain entry.

So the DNA testing being done is a very good thing. No.

Jennifer K. Falcon, communications director for RAICES, a nonprofit in Texas that offers free and low-cost legal services to immigrants and refugees, called the move deplorable because collecting such sensitive data would allow the government to conduct surveillance on the children “for the rest of their lives.”
“This is a further demonstration of administration’s incompetence and admission of guilt, this further drives home the point we’ve been saying. They never registered parents and children properly.”

Gee, Jennifer given the 315 percent increase in fraud, are we supposed to just take the adults word that these are their children? Her answer would probably be that what the illegal aliens tell us is the truth is more important that securing the border and insuring the safety of the people of the United States of America both born here and legal immigrants.

If you really believe that “Families Belong Together”, you would want to be sure that they are really families and that the children are not in the clutches of those who would do them harm. That is why it is of paramount importance that DNA testing be done and that these children are proven to be the children of those they are traveling with.
